She gave the goal after arguments and it wasn't reviewed by VAR. Bit like the pen she gave in SA v Czech.

Idk, ultimately the main referee is the one charge of the match and everything to do with it. VAR can only advise them. She seemed to definitively award the goal after the Ecuador protests. Perhaps she just decided that's her on field decision and it's going to ***ing stand. Same maybe as the SA pen.

I'd be curious to hear what the VAR room was saying to her over her headset and what she said back.

Yeah, I've defended her and the reffing more broadly this tournament (still think it's overall better than it's ever been in a WC) but that was really bad. No way VAR wasn't buzzing her to at least take a look at it.
