** World Cup 2026 - USA, Canada, Mexico Thread **
Saw no thread was active yet while it starts tomorrow so I'd gave it a go
No real time for an extensive write-up but lets
Lol QuiΓ±ones could not be any less interested in passing there, and what a strike to back it up
If you are able to watch this on Telemundo, do it. Even if you don't speak Spanish. You speak enough.
It's a good thing they put those pads near the camera or Raul would be minus a few ribs for the next few months.
pretty much his fault though. took a bump and turned it into a major tumble. thought the ref might show red there, glad he didn't. surprised no yellow though
Look... I get that Mexico is athletically deficient and not really all that special as far as Mexican teams are concerned, but if I'm an England fan I'm not looking forward to RO16 in this environment.
+1, i would bet mexico

It's as true of a road game as you can get in a world cup. It's not just in mexico, it's azteca.
Que GOLAZO
TIL that the own half exception to the offside rule operates similarly to the QB passing the line of scrimmage before throwing the ball. If any playable part of the body is in one's own half, it's excepted.
gg
this ECU D is suspect man
This is legitimately the loudest I think I've ever heard any stadium.
Must be nuts at the Azteca right now
Mexico at Azteca get +10 to all stats. Pretty scary.
Legit surprised there wasn't anything thrown at the Ecu corner taker. One benefit to the prices of these matches I guess.
Ecuador is ****ing shell shocked. They have zero composure. It looks like they were completely unprepared for this.
FFS a CB who just won the ****ing Champions League served up that second goal to a bottom-tier EPL striker on an absolute platter. This is one place that actually matters for home advantage.
NM - it was Ordonez who hit the **** ball. But only because Pacho had just gotten worked after making a bad decision.
wow I think he was onside too.
If you didn't like Paraguay's dark arts, this second half is not going to be enjoyable.
ecuador ain't bright, all the free kicks out of bounds then the last corner of the half where if you look at the clock, you absolutely cannot do what they did with just kicking the ball backwards
apparently Ecuador watched Korea and went let's do that. No urgency, no offense. blah
