So, US fans are basically just free-rolling the July 5th match then? Either:1. The 5th-match curse is alive and well, Mexico crash out of the WC, losing at the Azteca for the 1st time in 13 years, to an England team in thoroughly mediocre form, or;2. England are sent home by LOLCONCACAF.Not sure which I'm rooting for*, but I'm here for it.(*joking, of course. Regardless of

Yeah, I thought this was a given but I just want to be clear. I'm not rooting for Mexico, nor do I think they're particularly good this cycle. I just think it's going to be fun to watch whichever fanbase has the crash out afterwards. It's not even a freeroll. It's just guaranteed glee.

usa 250th gonna be great, the 4th will have canada losing 5-1 and the 5th has England @ Azteca Glorious days of sportsball.

Great fight by DR Congo against England but that winning goal by Kane was an absolute banger.

belgium/senegal should be fun. trossard has been great so far doing a decent hazard impression. saw he was leading the tournament in chances created after the group stage, and also scored 2 of their 5 goals. kdb still dealing in slow-motion. lolkaku seems due for a good game, but him vs koulibaly should be a real clash of the titans so who knows. getting doku back was nice, definitely possible he could help them take this game without goals from the forward spot. and having courtois at the back is always nice.

but will senegal's pace give them big problems? ismaila sarr, iliman ndiaye, nico jackson, sadio mane; senegal have a lot of dangerous options. pape gueye
has 2g/1a from midfield, and 9 different players have recorded scorepoints in this tournament (vs belgium's 4).

one of the more interesting r32 matches on paper

Francophone teams strike fear in peoples heart

Ivory Coast is the new Brazil and Morocco is the old Brazil

It’s very rare and pretty cool that all of the biggest name most established strikers are delivering in the same World Cup.

Both Kane and Mbappe are live to win the Golden Boot for the second time. Not sure if that happened in the distant past but it hasn’t since my first Cup I can remember which was 78
