I imagine that this will be an unpopular post but fwiw I was playing 4/8 O/8 at the Orleans a week ago and Zach dealt a down. Having lurked here for sometime I was surprised at how efficient he was. Other than the ridiculous rake - which btw he only used for the 1-4 seats and it didn't slow things down - and his name tag, I wouldn't have known for sure it was the guy often described here. No talk that wasn't related to keeping the game moving and when he was tapped out he engaged in a social conversation with the 3 seat (I was in 4). After the buildup in this thread I must say I was very disappointed.
Rice said he first tried steaming the rice and beef heart together, but the surface area of the rice cooker given to him by a viewer was too small, so he ended up removing the steamed rice and boiling the beef heart before combining same with the rice.
Someone tell the hard-headed know-it-all that he needs a small electric skillet to brown meats first that will flavor the oil, which will flavor the water that is added at the end to create a broth. He can then add the rice to steam in the skillet. Steamers don't brown/sautee. He's worried about some cooking fumes triggering the smoke alarm, so he can place the skillet by the hotel room door, slightly open the door and run the air on high. Single-room studio apts. have cooking burners and smoke alarms and they don't get triggered by cooking fumes.
That type of culinary artistry could inspire Gordon Ramsey to open a restaurant on the Vegas Strip with Rice as the master chef. The name of that culinary hot spot would, of course, just be: "Rice"
No forks allowed on the premises.

He mentioned recently that the limit games dont give him "a minute to himself" because he has to calculate the rake and promo drop continuously, and players dont spend time thinking since there are no bet sizing considerations. So no pause in the action in which the dealer can engage in conversation. But at the slightest deviation from the rubric you would have seen a different Rice.
I actually hope he never deals to me because I wouldn't put up with his petty tyranny.

It would match up with other reports that he deals cash games fast to get more tips, but tournament games slow because he doesn't give a ****. He was one of, if not the, slowest tournament dealer I've ever had.
