2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
My favorite draft so far
Lamar
Aaron jones , mixon , justice hill
Jefferson , flowers, Addison , Mclaurin , Bateman , nailor
Likely, Muth
Players aside, is this the right way to think about this draft and an overall sound strategy?
BAL - 6
PHI - 2
TB - 2
DET - 1
GB - 1
So if it's BAL/PHI or BAL/TB, I'll have 8 out of 12 spots. Even if it's BAL/DET or BAL/GB then I'll still have 7 out of 12.
Lamar
Jacobs, Hill, Gainwell, White
Flowers, Smith, Bateman, Mcmillan, Wallace
LaPorta, Likely

I like to make sure if I hit the sb right I have a full team left
I mean you literally need the worst parlay of all time. I think the bengals are like 8% to make it, but then you want them to make the afc championship based on what you’re saying. So basically 1% chance to happen.
I cannot think of a dumber way to play something
Do you think this is dumber than maxing out BBM knowing the odds of advancing even one team to the finals is much worse than the odds above?
I have no doubt that the Bengals are going to beat the Steelers. I feel pretty good about the Broncos and Dolphins choking in their games. I think the Bengals can upset the Bills. They can easily beat the Chiefs who are the worst one loss team in history. Joe is playing lights out right now. Imagine how many points Joe, Jamar, Tee and Gesicki will score at low ownership.
I'm in a dynasty league that is switching from a normal set your lineup each week league to best-ball type of format where you can pick players up and make trades but you don't set a lineup each week. Are there any adjustments I should be making?
PPR for all, but 1.75 PPR for TEs; passing TDs are 6 pts
QB/superflex/2rb/2wr/te/2 flex
I was the highest scorer this week and I think I should be shooting for another ring. I think this format means we should slightly devalue non-elite young players and slightly increase the value of veteran players who are WR #2 & #3 on their IRL teams. Thoughts?
I think I'd be loading up on as many starting/backup QBs as possible. I'd be loading up on TEs who run routes. I'd be loading up on 1st, 2nd and 3rd string RBs, ideally not cuffing yourself. I'd be devaluing WRs.
I think it's fine chasing non-elite cheap young players. Look at what McMillan and Pearsall just did. I'd devalue vets who have high floors but low ceilings, and not necessarily focus on whether they're #1, #2, #3, etc.
In theory, I think you want your weekly lineup to be QB/QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/TE/TE/TE. But if you can find enough TEs, you might be able to superflex one too. I'm in a 1.75 TEP league, and I roster Kelce, LaPorta, Henry, Jonnu, and Ertz.
Of course, RBs and WRs will hit flex spots throughout the season, but those positions won't score as well as QB/TE, on average, in this format.
Don’t disrespect Sammy D.
I think this is more a product of Darnold being the 6th viable qb in a 6 person draft, so he’s easier to push
Normal draft on ud from the 6 spot
Henry
JJ
2 of Jones/Andrews/Addison (flowers if he falls)
Darnold
Bateman/Hock
This dynamic once you take JJ also makes it less likely other Vikings go, so you get less competition
I think Jones and Hock adps are more surprising than Darnolds
Like I said previously there is something about the Vikings that makes me not wanna be overweight. I think I have a gut feeling that ocs will find ways to exploit Flores’s defense in the playoffs, but I probably should at least try to get to even with the field (currently a little underweight on most, very under on Darnold though)
Drafted my first team on DK, how’d I do
Qb - Lamar
RB - Jones, Mixon, Hill, Mitchell
Wr - AJB, Flowers, Pickens, Nailor, Agholor
Te - Hock, Likely
Got sniped on gainwell, was between Akers/Keaton on the last pick
Only reason I went Keaton is jones is better than hill so wanted more shots at hitting the right rb on Baltimore. Not sure if that’s the right or wrong way to think about it
Here’s another one. Kept it to only 3 teams. Not my favorite build
QB - Allen
Rb- Kyren, Jones, Ty
Wr- puka, shakir, Coleman, kupp, nailor
Te - hock, higbee, Knox
Don't think Miami needs Tua to beat a Jets team that's completely given up.
Cool to see mayfield throw to Evans with game over to get him his bonus what a teammate
Still early but how we feeling about Cincys chances of getting in now lol
