2024 FF sit/start thread
This was very helpful for me last season so here we go again!
Last years OP:
We're less than a week away from the season starting, so let's get a pick my lineup thread going. Some useful guidelines I would suggest:
- If you're asking a question, it'd be nice if you gave answers on someone else's question at the same time. Thread works better when there's more feedback all around
- Please list the opposing team for your players, and if pertinent, timings of games. Matchups matter, as do timings - it is not unusual to have something where you're asking two out of three playe
Pick 2 of 3 in half PPR
Jerome Ford vs. NYG
Zack Moss vs WAS
Tee Higgins vs WAS
Kinda don’t trust Higgins first game back, think they’ll just sit em if they get up big?
Bump: Played Ford - had Diontae Johnson on the bench lol me.
Down 5. Opponent has Gesicki. I have McPherson and either Moss or Higgins.
Moss for a better floor?
i would think the play is Moss
JOE has a ton of mouths to feed: Chase, Higgins, Yoshi, All Jr., Sample, Gesicki, Burton. and as i mentioned earlier, CIN is leaning heavily into 12/13 personnel and all these pass catching TEs are running many routes
Pick 2, 0.5ppr
Godwin v PHI
Jennings v NE
Aiyuk v NE
Flowers v BUF
I'm losing patience with Aiyuk, started him every week but now i've brought in Jennings on waivers

Godwin is obv locked into one of those spots
i'm worried a bit about the game flow in the SF/NE game (line 10.5 pts). Shanahan may be able to lean heavily in the run game and feed Mason/Guerendo in the 2nd half if things get out of hand. plus we need to be aware that Kittle could be dressed for the game
as a result i'm going w Godwin and Flowers
Have to bench one in ppr
- Wilson vs Den
- Nabers vs Dal
- Olave vs Atl
- Rice vs LAC
Leaning Wilson, but feels gross to bench him. Olave feels like the other option

Would prob start Godwin and ayiuk even though he’s been frustrating
Non ppr, have AJB and deebo injured and missed out on Jennings so I’m stuck with these 3 options and need to pick one:
Worthy vs SD
Quentin Johnson vs chiefs
Michael Wilson vs commanders
I’ve been starting worthy and he’s been disappointing. Johnson might not have Herbert and both starting tackles are hurt, plus he prob sees McDuffie a lot. Picked up Wilson since commanders have the worst pass D and McBride may be out
I think I’d just go worthy for the explosiveness
i'd go w Wilson*
coming off a 90% snap count, 9 target game
WAS secondary is trash
ARZ/WAS total is 10.5 pts higher than KC/LAC
edit to add:
20th in target share (26.5%) in Week 3
* McBride would need to be inactive
Is Kittle back to full fitness? I bought in Goedert last week for him dunno whether I should start him again considering the big week he just had
Michael Pittman or Brian Thomas Jr?
ppr
thanks! yeah I think I'm going with btj
Here's a few
1. 0.5 PPR, one flex
J. Conner vs Was
JK Dobbins vs KC
G. Wilson vs Den
2. 1pt PPR, one RB
B. Allen vs Den
Z. White vs Cle
3. 1 pt PPR, one WR
C. Kirk @ Hou
G. Wilson vs Den
A. Lazard vs Den
J. Nailor @ GB
I think the no-brainer here is Kirk/Wilson. But I think Lazard might be a sneaky good play because Wilson will be covered by Surtain all day. However, benching Wilson for Lazard could also just be too much FPS.
4. 1 pt PPR, one TE
B. Strange @ Hou
Z. Ertz @ AZ
Might as well just flip a coin on this one.
Flex in a half PPR
Juan Jennings vs NE
Returning Ken Walker vs Det
Leaning Jennings, thinking they ease Walker in and Det is a bad matchup.

Allen - could be a favorable game script
3. 1 pt PPR, one WR

tough spot. Debbo and Kittle may both be suiting up. not sure what to say here. sry

.
one more , 0.5 ppr
M. Andrews vs Buff
C. Kmet vs LAR
Non ppr, need a flex:
Akers vs jags
Steele vs chargers
Akers numbers vs MIN were ugly

that said, MIN D will do that to you and the game script got away from HOU
now, it appears that Hunt will be one of the 53 today, so we don't have a ton of vision into what KC's RB situation looks like later today
both teams are similar in PROE%

the key question for me is who is going to get KC's goal line carries? we don't have vision into that this morning. we do expect Akers to get those opps for HOU
that has me leaning Akers
