Señor Tuma, i enjoy your dispatches and have faith that once your sleep cycle is optimized good things will come for humanity.

I grew up in Eastern PA but claimed allegiance to the Detroit Lions as a youth probably because of the great Barry Sanders who was so fun operate as in Super Tecmo Bowl.

I'm also a bad amateur chess player and enthusiast who has made his own chess set once upon a time out of air hardening clay, keep up the good fight hermano!

OMG. Hi, and thank you.

I attended Barry's 2K (And Reggie Brown's Negative Infinity) game as a youngster with my Father.
We sat near the very top of the Silverdome.
My section was determined to land a paper airplane onto the field, so I partook in that.
There was a Jazz Saxophone player outside of the stadium.

EWC is Ghana be sweet!

This post is dedicated to an old friend whose family I have never met.

Man on a Mission,
Can't say I miss him around.
Insider information,
Hand in your resignation.
Loss of a good friend
Best of intention I've found
Tight lipped procrastiation
Yeah, Later, See you around.

Last night's sleep was so cool!

As I sunk into alpha-phase, I started seeing flashing colors and patterns.

My head felt like an expanding hot air balloon.

For the first time in eons, I look forward to tonight's rest.

My all-time favorite Youtube video:

It's after 2am and I'm not tired enough to acquire even deep rest. So I took half an Ativan. Expect some **** posting tonight.

I've slept a total of 3 hours since Friday. I don't count the fractured sleep (waking every 20 minutes) on Monday as real sleep.

What’s the reason for your sleep problems? Sorry, couldn’t find it in the thread. Mind explaining it?

Hey, welcome to Quantum Entanglement (A Love Story).

A week ago Saturday I stopped consuming weed cold turkey.

The insomnia hit right away on night one. I was a pretty heavy smoker. Don't tell my Mom, but I figured out a method to smoke in her house undetected. [There's a vent in my bathroom. I would pack micro bowls, take ghost hits, and exhale the fumes into the vent.] I was taking a hit every 15 minutes for the duration of my waking period.

My tolerance was so high, it took over 800mg of Edibles to knock me out on Friday.

Insomnia also tends to run in my family.

I hope you enjoy your stay.

Tuma

Nice job taking a crack at getting clean off it. No one ever likes to hear it but if you want to sincerely try to beat long term mental problems you gotta quit it all to find your baseline, even caffeine

Weed always gets a free pass (deservedly so) but longterm daily use will **** your life up just like any drug dependency, just in a less offensive way

Will look fwd to following along. I’m a big blink fan 2

Key Points
Research suggests that irregularity in sleep, like having a good night followed by insomnia, is normal during weed withdrawal.

It seems likely that symptoms, including insomnia, can come and go and are not a linear process, especially in the first few weeks.

The evidence leans toward withdrawal symptoms peaking around days 2–6 and potentially lasting up to 3 weeks or more, with variability in intensity.

Withdrawal Symptoms and Timing
Weed withdrawal can cause insomnia, among other symptoms like anxiety and irritability, typically starting 24–48 hours after quitting and peaking early, around days 2–6. At 10 days post-quit, you're still within the common timeframe for experiencing symptoms, and it's normal for them to fluctuate.
Irregularity in Sleep Patterns
It's expected that your sleep might improve one night and worsen the next. This irregularity is part of the withdrawal process, as your body adjusts to the absence of cannabis, and symptoms can vary day to day, especially during the initial weeks.
Unexpected Detail: Long-Term Fluctuations
While most symptoms subside within 2–3 weeks, some people, particularly heavy users, might experience occasional sleeplessness for months, known as post-acute withdrawal syndrome, which can include irregular sleep patterns.
Survey Note: Detailed Analysis of Weed Withdrawal Insomnia
This note provides a comprehensive overview of weed withdrawal, focusing on insomnia and its irregular patterns, based on recent research and clinical insights. It aims to address the user's experience at 10 days post-quit, where they had a good night's sleep last night but are currently unable to sleep, questioning if this variability is normal.
Background on Weed Withdrawal
Weed, or cannabis, withdrawal is a well-documented phenomenon affecting approximately half of regular and dependent users after abrupt cessation, particularly those using products high in Δ9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) (Clinical Management of Cannabis Withdrawal). Symptoms typically onset within 24–48 hours and peak around days 2–6, with some lasting up to 3 weeks or more in heavy users. Common symptoms include anxiety, irritability, anger, disturbed sleep/dreaming, depressed mood, and loss of appetite, with less common physical symptoms like chills, headaches, and sweating (Clinical Management of Cannabis Withdrawal).
Insomnia During Withdrawal: Prevalence and Timing
Insomnia is one of the most frequently reported symptoms, with studies indicating that about 46.9% of former users experience sleep disruptions during withdrawal (Marijuana Withdrawal: Symptoms, Timeline, and Coping). Research suggests that sleep difficulties can persist for at least 2 weeks, with some reports of disturbances lasting up to 7 weeks in outpatient settings (Sleep Disturbance and the Effects of Extended-Release Zolpidem During Cannabis Withdrawal). The Cleveland Clinic notes that symptoms, including sleep issues, are not life-threatening but can be uncomfortable, with variability in severity depending on factors like frequency of use and THC potency (Marijuana (Weed) Withdrawal: Symptoms & Treatment).
Variability and Irregularity of Symptoms
The user's experience of sleeping well last night (day 9 to day 10) but not tonight (day 10 to day 11, given it's been 10 days since quitting) aligns with the observed variability in withdrawal symptoms. Research indicates that symptoms can fluctuate, with some individuals experiencing worsening changes over time, particularly younger people or those with mental health issues (More Than Half of People Using Cannabis for Pain Experience Multiple Withdrawal Symptoms). A study on medical cannabis users found that about 10% experienced increasing severity of symptoms, including sleep disturbances, over two years, suggesting that irregularity is not uncommon (Weed Withdrawal: More Than Half of People Using Medical Cannabis for Pain Experience Withdrawal Symptoms).
The irregularity can be attributed to the body's adjustment to the absence of cannabinoids, with brain CB1 receptors beginning to normalize within 4 weeks of abstinence, potentially causing fluctuating symptoms (The Cannabis Withdrawal Syndrome: Current Insights). Daily assessments in studies, such as those using polysomnography, show that sleep efficiency and latency can degrade over days of abstinence, with some nights better than others (Sleep Disturbance and the Effects of Extended-Release Zolpidem During Cannabis Withdrawal).

Last night I slept "fine"; tonight I can't seem to get there.

That means another night of blogging, perhaps. I'm on day 9 of quitting...according to GROK it's normal to have ****ed up sleep for up to a month with variability.

Let's hope I have this squared up by Opening Day (3/27).

Detroit Tigers O/U 83.5 Wins......

The over looks incredibly sexy. Their pitching staff will be better than last year.

I'm boiling water, throwing all the shells in for a Hail Mary carboload attempt at sleep a little later.

I'm not taking Ativan again unless I hit the 40 hour mark, approximately.

It's pretty cool. I'm becoming more of a Man with each passing day.

Intense dedication and commitment seems like breathing now.

I love the craft of writing. It's also very much like breathing to me.

I don't understand people who speak well (much better than me) who can't write for squat. Isn't it just sequencing ones thoughts?

My spoken word has also improved.

I'm very, very, very lucky to be able to dedicate 100% of my time to my Health.

I would have no shot at doing this with a Career and Family to balance.

I'm down 9lbs since February 10th.

Exercise is really enjoyable now. No forcing function is necessary.

oh the earlier thing was a paraphrasing of that thing i still don't recall 100%

that creepy dude's incredible poetry

going something like

i am broke but full of cum, my body is ready or something somethign

Rick you are something of a treasure.

I actually came close to falling asleep.

Breathing became slowed, thoughts started to fall apart, and then BAM my body shook all at once and I was jolted awake.

Up to 7 weeks of insomnia I just read (above).

That would frustrate the **** out of the normal man.

Considering all I've been through, this is a piece of cake for me.

In kind of a blah mood.

My quit date was....2/22

2ma Tuma To Mom, thanks.

Coolest thing that's ever happened in sports.

(Just got teary-eyed. Rest in Peace Bobby; you were misunderstood.)
