"For the money" ? Seriously ?

What does Yukon charge, because In 'n Out Double Double or Single definitely would win hands down at a $40 price point

Let's have some perspective ? We are discussing burgers; it's not even close, "for the money" at $40 for a burger ?

I did see a photo on Yelp .... the Yukon burger DOES look very good, what's the price ? Please educate me as I'll be in Las Vegas at the end of February.

Is there a consensus on best burger in Vegas? Luger’s? I haven’t had a fancy steakhouse burger yet, but based on the above review, Bavette’s won’t be the first I try.

Honestly, not sure I want to drop $40+ on a burger, when there are excellent ones I can get for less than half that.

Yukon’s burger is excellent. Joy burger on DI/Durango is great as well. Need to try Stay Tuned burgers and With Love Always as well. Irv’s in Durango Casino is meh. Any others I’m missing that are phenomenal? Ho

I enjoy the burger at Fat Choy in the exclusive Eureka casino and resort.

The Pub at Tuscany also has great burgers. A friend's favorite. But too often, medium rare orders come back medium or over.

I just went to Lugar. I might never return, so I wanted the whole experience. Got the tomato and onion salad. Very good. Lugar lager, which was very light but I liked it. Burger was very good. At least on mine, they didn't fool around on medium rare. It was nearly raw in the middle, which is ok to me but be warned. Fries were fine.

It was a cool and distinctive experience, augmented by the 19th century vibes and good service. I might do it again, if I get a few comp $.

It would be a great meal to split. The burger isn't oversized but it's hearty. Lots of fries. The beer the salad... I had to go home and take a nap. This was 24 hours ago and I haven't eaten since and am not hungry.

It's not a bad value if you are staying on the strip, as you'd have to travel to get a much better deal and it is a memorable experience. Of course, it is not good bang for buck if you live here and feel like a burger.

We had burgers at Delmonico last time and really enjoyed them. Pretty on par with Luger IMO, different style of course, so YMMV.

In fairness, I got wasted, but…I don’t think that would lead me to grade the food as worse than it was.

got it
sounds a lot like mon ami gabi
average food but great place to sit and look at somewhere else if you get a discount

What are you talking about? I’m saying the quality for the price can’t be beat, and I’d take the Yukon burger over most $35-50 burgers at a steakhouse regardless of price which makes it even better value. Fast food burgers are disqualified from any best burger list.

Also Bavette’s includes a full side dish with theirs for $36 so it’s more like a $22 burger and $14 side. Most steakhouses are charging $35-50 for just the burger alone.

It’s a much higher level of food that mon, but obviously far more expensive. Filet Rossini with foie is amazing.

I’m not sure about the corkage fee it’s been comped both times when I talked to maitre d before the reservation. Service and ambiance really is fantastic though. I’d highly recommend anyone having a few drinks at the bar. Brunch is also quite good.

I feel like I’m in the minority but I think smash burgers have a ceiling. Bavettes is as good as a smash burger gets but it can’t touch Lugers for me. Unfortunately some of the best burgers in Vegas closed. As terrible as the restaurant was, salt bae had a very good burger, old homestead in Caesar’s closed but was so funky and great. For old school guys pj clarkes and this meat emporium that was replaced by tailgate social at palace station were classics.

60$ Brunch Buffet at Wynn - is it worth it? How much is it in the evening?

It's interesting; the only difference between a smash burger and a patty burger is the preparation.

Both are beef, salt, and pepper; historically, all burgers started as smash as it was the fastest way to cook one.

Patties came along in the tide of industrialization; preformed and premade. Not as much need for speed as a vendor serving lunchtime burgs to factory workers, for example. Consistency became more important.

I definitely think that high-level patty burgers can be more delicious, because they may be grilled on super hot fancy equipment which does better than anything the home cook can do, but you gotta pay for that. However, I don't think that fancy beef necessarily makes for a better burger; for example, I'm not a fan of using wagyu for burgers.

Also, it doesn't help that a lot of restaurants straight out sell patty burgers and call them smash because its marketing; there's are a couple in my neighborhood that do that.

Regarding Wynn buffet; look up the vegas paradise on youtube for a wynn vs caesars buffet comparison. TLDR; wynn's carving station is weak as hell, but their deserts are great. I think their street tacos are also good.

Yeah milk steak and a steak with a good sear are basically just a piece of steak.

what's the next fad, hundred dollar beluga hot dogs?

the burgers i enjoy most come from humble places where someone is working the flat top and making simple ingredients blow your mind because of their technique, secret family recipe, and the fact they gave a damn about what they did.

Fast casual Indian chains getting popular in the midwest. Although they still think taco John's is Mexican food, so maybe not.

Oklahoma onion burger. Couldn’t convince my coworkers to Uber to the OG place that our busboy recommended at the boring steakhouse last year when I went for work to OKC.

it was the only place on the south side of fort cobb lake to both catch and cut bait and they made an amazing burger served in a plastic basket with red and white checkered paper

Lol come on. In n Out is an ok fast food burger. It is nothing special. And their fries are the absolute worst.

Five Guys is really the only fast food burger I eat now. Fine, it's $20 with a drink a fries. I don't care.

Yukon does have a great burger.

I didn’t know you were an Okie! I grew up in Oklahoma City and did my undergrad at OU.

I shudder to open this debate out, but do you count Shake Shack as fast food? because their burgers are great

(I'm not sure if Five Guys has drive thru which is why I opened this out)

At one time, the best burger in Las Vegas was at the counter in Binion's. They ground the beef fresh every day and they baked the buns fresh every day and they cooked them any way you wanted. That's all it took. Haven't had one in years -- I assume they couldn't keep that up.

Someone giving their burger opinions after bragging about paying for 5 Guys is peak hilarity.

The lunch counter at Binions was a great quick stop.

OTOH, the coffee shop located downstairs was the highlight of Fremont Street cuisine in its day.
