If Rice had a sugar mama like T, his videos would be of the inside of their apartment.

For sure, he would be watching youtube around the clock and eating rice with sausage meat for all meals.

Maybe 1 steak pr year if sugarmomma is paying.

Rice was so proud of himself in his latest video for finding the elusive Laurel Lounge, and so conveniently just in time for his last 4 days of Diamond Plus status. Well that takes care of all his meals, snacks and drinks for the next 4 days!

I feel sorry for the girl at the desk who had to field all of Rice's many questions regarding operation of the lounge. I'll bet he spent more time grilling her about the various food offerings and timings then he has spent playing poker since starting his road trip back to Vegas.

If Diesel is not going to play poker, OR if he is going to play like 3-4 hours per week, why head back to Vegas? He is so far away from his family & support structure.

From what I hear, Vegas is also NOT a good/soft market for playing poker. This is doubly the case for bottom of the barrel low rollers like Rice.

His videos have become such absolute train wrecks, I've cut back viewing by over 90%. I notice that a bunch of other people have done so....Rice's videos getting 1-2 thousand views. If it goes too much lower, I would think he is at risk for de-monetization of his videos.

The other thing is that IF Rice thinks that he will be able to play poker as a professional indefinitely, I think he is going to learn a hard lesson. Here in Detroit, 2/3 of the casinos shut down their rooms. I would not be surprised if MGM (last remaining casino poker room) doesn't shut down in a couple of years. Word on the street is that management is doing well with it for now (as they are the only casino in town), BUT that they are going to milk it for all it is worth, while they can.

The rake is "silly" high, especially at the 1/3 games, which are the vast majority of games. There are of course 2/5 and 5/10 and PLO games, but those are not running quite as frequently as they did in the past.

Detroit has charity rooms and private games of course. I just can't see Rice getting invited to, and playing in many private games. I also don't see him going to charity rooms, except for the rare/exceptional visit.

Meanwhile, Rice is spending his productive years not doing much, not learning much, not saving/investing much.

He should learn how to run a side business, he should learn how to save & invest....you need to make hay while the sun is shining. He is doing nothing for his future. For example, he could learn the casino business, and invest in such. Some of the casino stocks are making money but trading at/near 52 week lows. So he might have good insight (if he took the time to learn & watch & analyze).

ELD as part of the Nomadic Method can survive on comped food and Harrah's $10 rates with free parking. All he needs to do is make it until the WSOP and can deal a few months. Plus he is closer to Herbs and Rye and can Spirit to California where Herbs and Rye is located for free steaks. This is akin to prehistoric humans that survived on wild rice and fruit and ate steaks once a month when they hunted a mammoth.

Skater Nomad is also back in Las Vegas for the $10,000 challenge and maybe they can team up on Nomadic videos for savings on weekend rates.

Could you imagine how many views Rice would get off his YouTube video IF he let his grow out & dressed in skins, just like a nomadic caveman would? THEN, he goes on the hunt, running across the tundra with a flint tipped spear, looking to take down a woolly mammoth & get that steak! How many MILLIONS of views would that get?

I simply won't be able to get that image out of my mind all day...

Skater Nomad posts a new video and adds to the Nomadic method wherein he now is $900 in profit and can afford occasional hotels.

The alternate day hotel schedule saves money for those without tier status.

Start off with early check in and then take a shower and sleep for 12 hours and rest until late checkout the next day. Take a shower again just prior to checkout. Gamble in the hotel casino until dinnertime at which point commence Uber Eats and Doordash at the dinner rush and do this all night until it dies down. Then return to the hotel casino and gamble until check in time and then repeat. This will only result in 50% of hotel costs with alternate day hotel stays interspaced with Doordashing on alternate nights to earn money.

Of course pay the hotel with a casino credit card to earn tier points.

He will only get demonetized if he doesn't post anything for 6 months.

I've heard down voting still helps the creator bc it's still engaging content. Not giving views to videos or creators you don't like is the best way to stop having it recommended to you and to stop giving them income.

I know he isn't a LV based vlogger, but did anyone watch Bart Hanson's call-in vlog from yesterday? Caller was playing at Wynn/Encore. He goes after 2+2, calls it a cesspool, says he hasn't logged on in years.

Really interesting watching ED travel across the country and get to see all the different chairs in various poker rooms, including the materials, color, levers, etc.

This is what everyone wants to know about. The room layouts/schematics, the chips, the cards, the poker tables and felt, and yes of course the ergonomics of the chairs.

Anyone asking about interesting hands that might have been played, or session hours/results, is just being a miserable hater and is missing the point of the videos entirely!

There's a point to those videos?

I was part of r/poker for a month or two but that is a bigger cesspool of negativity than even twitter

I'm not too offended by his comment of 2+2, LVL is the only place I visit. I think most poker discussion boards are awful anyway

Whether the dealer tips are pooled or not is also a very important topic. Basically anything this is incidental to the poker playing itself. Like Rice says, there are hundreds of Chanel's that focus on the poker, his channel focuses on everything else!

The clear focus of Rice's channel is making the easiest 7 minute video requiring the least amount of effort. No planning; no editing; no point . . .

Yeah,nothing to lose sleep about. Barts commentator friend David Tuchman has also taken alot of heat in various threads on this forum through the years (for being a yapper kind of commentator and using lots of buzzwords amongst other things),wich i would guess Bart woudnt be too happy to see.
