"I don't know what I'll do today, I might play poker for 5 hours so I can buy a pastry at the cafe..."

I mean how else do you get your pastries?

by parisron

Somehow TBC's guardian angel always comes through.

He had just lost $1900 yesterday.

I’m such a sucker. Never knew that all my pastry dreams were only 5 short hours of grinding a miserable 1/2 game from coming true.

okay I had said I was done with Diesel but there is more to say.

what in the world is the point of this "challenge"? he spends like 15 hours playing poker on Day 1, basically on an empty stomach, not thinking about playing optimal winning poker but spending every ounce of mental and emotional energy planning how he will eat for the next 5 days. and not in a good way. "not allowed" to drink anything with calories at the poker table? not allowed to use a $1 chip to get a juice from a server? "I gotta play 5 hours at Bally's to get in their promo tourney." why not just play optimal poker and book a $300 session win that would top the promo? "nope, I can only eat fries and water on D1, only two bagels on D2, gonna get a buffet box of rice and bagels on D4...

maybe there will be a big reveal at the end, maybe there will be some great incentive or he wins a bet... I doubt it... but as it looks, this is an incredible waste of a week of life with literally nothing gained. other than some minimal amount of tier credits.

life is supposed to be happy. this is incredibly depressing and pointless.

perhaps the only thing more depressing is the amount of support and encouragement he receives from his fans' comments on YouTube that provides some semblance of validation for this crap

You must be a new viewer. Rice does this kind of "challenge" all the time. He's done several homeless for 48hrs challenges too over the expensive weekends in Vegas.

He calls them challenges but in reality it's just an excuse for being even more of a tight ass than he is normally. He must be preparing himself for when he is a full time street bum.

Don't forget day 4 and 5 where he's thinking about just taking the rest of the challenge from playing and probably will just gonna sleep 16 hours a day till it's over. His brain has to be mush and in a fog. Of course he doesn't want to play poker in this condition.

As you said, what's the point of this challenge? For content? Of course the final video will be him all smug for completing this challenge like he accomplished something ground breaking.

It's basically doing self harm for views and clicks.

At this point, he should just do a water fast. At least there's some evidence that that can be healthy. Definitely more healthy then the diet he ate the past five days.

by Petrucci

Yup, here we are at peak Rice again.

Its also mindblowing that he acts like he won the lottery when showing off all the food he got for 20 bucks. Like people with a normal economy doesent care if he got a bagel extra in there, or couple of bagels extra. Like its absolutely hilarious.

He chose salami? Who picks cold cuts at a buffet? Oh, the kind of person that picks cereal.

TBC >>> Trooper/Diesel/Bikeking/Pman

He has been living out of his sock bank for decades. And he does it all without YouTube revenue, hat sales, rich parents or sugar mamas.

Would anybody be interested in buying a TBC t-shirt? The legend that out grinds any of the YouTube dummies.

TBC just binked 10k on bingo?

by pmanprays

TBC is the goat of long term 1/2 nl grinders and well as the goat of vagrant poker players.

How he's managed to survive all this time while also having a gambling problem and dumping at BJ and machines is astounding.

I'm not so sure. TBC is lightyears ahead of Pman definitely. I have played with TBC a few times, and also based on hhs i saw in his blog posts, the guy is absolutely terrible at poker. He is good enough to win I guess, but I promise you his winrate is extremely low. I would estimate he makes around $5/hr and puts in insane volume/bonus whoring casinos to compensate for his bad hourly. There are plenty of 1/2 grinders much better than TBC.

He is definitely a better player than he was 10 years ago, I will give him that. Whereas El D and Trooper has regressed over the same time period.

It's an interesting thought though. If you had to buy someones action, who would it be? I would probably take El D tbh.

TBC has to be lightyears ahead of Trooper. He manages to win enough to not only support himself but also his blackjack and slot addictions.

TBC is definitely making more than $5/hour lol

TBC is such a legend lol, terrible person with some awful views and extremely autistic but somehow really good at low stakes poker.

I have a feeling he plays as tight as Diesel 99% of the time but then makes one sicko bluff a session and tilts people and gets them to pay him off later.

TBC knows which slots to play . his wins (like cashman bingo today) are always advantage plays

There are two reasons for these challenges. As others have pointed out they are about saving money and doing things as cheaply as possible. The other reason for doing them rather than just trying to play optimal poker is that they are a way of creating content that avoids any unfortunate need to discuss results. It's been clear for a while that things aren't going well and the fact he'll create a daily vlog about his poker lifestyle that avoids the main thing that people are interested in is very telling.

The food challenges are 100% only to save money because he suspended the last iteration of this challenge hours into it, when a friend of his was treating him to an acye meal. These challenges do not even get a lot of views compared to his most popular vlogs which are all related to talking about playing poker for a living or having something to do with poker rooms.

If Diesel did a low carb diet “challenge” he would lose so much weight it would be silly. From watching all these challenges, I’ve seen he never really changes what he eats, fueling himself almost entirely on rice, bread, and junk like cereal/goldfish/candy with or without an active challenge.

Also, don’t know why people are talking about how diesel doesn’t give results. He gives more results than Trooper ever did, just not broken down by sessions. Diesel gave us his average monthly poker hours for 2023 and then you do a little math to find out he made between $7k-12k for the year, down from making $18-26k in previous years. He has had a massive drop in income and is playing worse poker, doing more wacky challenges, and complaining incessantly because of it.

When trying to comprehend the average American's intelligence, just remember that there are people out there who look up to Diesel as one of the great innovators and thinkers of our generation.

Haha yeah these people are just unreal....I thought rice was explaining simple things to 5 year olds but actual adults seem to find it useful!

Oh please. Surely I'm not the only one here who has loaded up a takeout box from the Sizzler Salad bar with some saucy deliciousness on the top, only to have it leak out all over the car seat on the drive home. Maybe some of you already know the things EL Diesel instructs on, but it doesn't make me an idiot just because I find his vlogs educational (as well as entertaining).

When I grow up, I want to be an attorney just like you and El Diesel. Is packing a buffet box taught in a first year class, or is that considered more advanced level instruction?

You are a lawyer and chose to eat at Sizzler?

Just say you are kidding so it will all make sense.

what they don't want you to know:
pay like $3 more and you can go back to fill a new plate an infinite number of times, get all the drinks you can ever want, and you don't even have to worry about fitting it in a single box
