You're welcome. The poker community thanks you for your support as well.

BTW since you are big into solvers at 1-3, what did the solver say when you plugged in the 63 off in the big blind? I'd love to see the breakdown of actions and bet sizes.

Lol great analysis. I feel a little bad about Pman because unlike Trooper and Diesel, Pman is battling a pretty terrible gambling addiction. Troop and Diesel are lazy nitwits that are bad at poker and this is a poker forum so of course we should roast them. Pman is like the Guy La Liberte or Scout of llsnl games and there’s always been an unwritten rule here of breaking down how whales like that play. Idk it’s still funny tho.

I’ll go out on a limb and say his superior buffet box packing method he bragged about is going to be absolutely ridiculous lol. Will he debox Frosted Flakes and jam the bag in there, will he tape country fried steaks to the bottom exterior, or will he just fill the box and stuff his pockets with sausages claiming that’s how they do it at Cornell???

The trick is don't close the box. Leave it open to create a bag that has twice the storage volume.

Dollar store pack of ziplock baggies and a winter coat with many pockets and Rice can own pounds and pounds of chicken meat, prime rib meat, turket meat, rice, hamburger meat, hamburger buns, hot dogs, and hot dog buns.

There's no way you can say Diesel is bad at poker.

There's no way you can say Diesel is bad at poker.

Sure you can. Just cause you can win $10/hr at 1-3 doesn't mean you're not bad at poker. You have to remember that at least 50% of his win rate come from hours type promos that basically pay you to sit and fold 95% of hands.

So yes, Diesel is bad at poker.

I'm assuming pman is a rich kid since his parents bought him a condo. It's definitely not from him playing poker or working lol

Seems like he has pretty awesome and supportive parents that told him to go for his dreams and basically are funding his life.

They probably gave him a timeframe to try it out and if he doesn't succeed he has to get a real job.

Pman is a nice guy so I root for him but he has a long way to go before he will be a winning player. He might never reach that point. Poker is about playing well when things go bad, and it seems like pman has tilt issues.

isn't he at $14/hour?

what's your cut off of being a good player then?

to me if you making 4 to 5 bb an hour after rake in capped games you are doing better than 90% of the player pool. even after promos

isn't he at $14/hour?

Lol no.

In his previous "food comp" challenge he was talking about playing for 2.25 more hours or something so he could get a breakfast sandwich instead of a bagel.

When you are spending hours of your time for a breakfast sandwich, it's time to get a new job, you aren't a "winner".

Lol you repeatedly site that number.
It was actually $13/hr lifetime average but not including recent results which have been considerably lower than that.

Exactly. His Vegas winrate might be half of that at this point. $14/hr is years of data when games were much better and he had a much bigger edge on the field. An uber nit could print back in 2007, now not so much.

The Vegas promo games are probably much tighter than any other 1-3 game in the world, not to mention depressing as hell caused of all the misregs grinding out their $5 an hour. But he wants to play with a bunch of OMCs so he can reduce variance. If he wants no variance he should just get a job.

Actually come to think of it, I have seen Troopers Poker Income one time many years ago and IIRC he was at like $19/hr (all of that was from Best Bet Jacksonville, it was right after he moved to Vegas) All this to say that lifetime stats isn't really indicative of current ability. If you do absolutely zero studying, then you are going to fall behind even if you once had a big edge. El Diesel is accelerating down this path very quickly, and I can't see him playing poker for a living much longer because he is just not good enough and way too stubborn to study

Rice with a classic strategy sesh on how to properly box food for those who failed kindergarten because they kept trying to shove the circle peg through the triangle hole.

A little directions kink spribkled on top, trivia easter eggs, and Rice negotiates a meal from a stranger.

Legit A+ vlog.

Yup, here we are at peak Rice again.

Its also mindblowing that he acts like he won the lottery when showing off all the food he got for 20 bucks. Like people with a normal economy doesent care if he got a bagel extra in there, or couple of bagels extra. Like its absolutely hilarious.

He hasn't released his 2023 results so I don't know how you can make this assumption. He rarely talks about his day to day numbers and the only recent vlogs he mentioned numbers is when he was having a break even stretch/"bad luck" streak which is not reflective of his entire year.

His 2002 results were pretty atrocious at surface level but he also mentioned that included him taking a tax hit from withdrawing his entire IRA, so the amount he won from poker could be way higher than we think depending on how much he withdrew.

If he releases his 2023 results and he's at $10/hour then you can say something but at this point there's no way you'd be able to know this.

And why do you think it is that he refuses to give his recent results? Try using your brain for a second.

Anyone playing attention to his vlogs will be able to tell that he has been underperforming for the last 12-18 months. He blames it on running bad but the bottom line is that he can't win nearly as much now as he could a few years back.

Rice is a shameless scab. Not only will he never turn down anything offered to him, but he will actually nag and remind the person about it because he doesn't have all day to wait around for it. His level of self awareness couldn't be any worse, bragging about how he also managed to score the free paper plates.

This of course +1.

Gonna run cause i am heading out to play, but wanted to chime in that Angle is spot on again.

LOL at thinking Diesel where even close to 13 bucks pr hour in 2023, omg dude get a grip!

He hasn't released his 2023 results so I don't know how you can make this assumption.

Everything you say seems to be in defense of poor players who do vlogs. Trying to hold on to some level of positivity that it almost seems like a level.

Is your own life unhappy? Do you grind out comps too? I don't get it.

Yeah sure you can say that past results don't necessarily reflect your current ability but shouldn't we see those stats before making the assumption?

The figure he showed us was based off of thousands of hours of poker, his recent results are from 2 vlogs probably less than 40 hours of play.

Studying to a certain level is important but not that important once you have a base level of knowledge, especially if you're not planning on moving up from 1/3, pman studies solvers and bikeking spews off all these poker terms yet it doesn't get them anywhere and means nothing when you can't handle downswings which is an inevitability in poker.

Making $14/hour over a significant sample size is enough to show you know what you're doing, a large portion of that was probably at 1/2 too. I think anyone that plays for a living would respect diesel's numbers alot more than people that play like 250 hours a year and think it's easy to make 10 bb's an hour.

There's so many things that el diesel is bad at but poker is actually one of the things he does well. Criticize him for the 9 other things he does badly.

I criticize diesel and other vloggers when it's warranted, I don't blindly hate on them.

To me the people that are constantly negative are the ones most likely to be unhappy, so it's interesting that you think that way.

My life is fine. I have a regular career. I play poker as a hobby and feel blessed I don't have to play for a living.

by parisron

So, he won 1.4 hands per hour over 29-hour sample. That sounds pretty tight.

In 29 hours he won 41 hands, does not disclose how much/many he lost, and you think he's a good poker player?

he's terrible, just listen and read how he thinks about the game.

by prev

isn't he at $14/hour?

I'm sorry but someone that folds for 100 hours so he can play in promo tourneys and eat a bagel for the whole day and counts those into his earnings is not good at poker

by prev

There's no way you can say Diesel is bad at poker.

But he is.
He's not a punter by any stretch but being a colossal nit who can barely beat absolute amateurs at the lowest stakes possible while playing 1500-2000 hours a year and trying to win makes him bad at poker.

Lol@thinking he made anywhere near 13 an hour in 2023. I don't think he made 5 an hour.

His constant whining about "running bad" and the face we're 10 days into March and he still wont share his 2023 results tells you all we need to know.

If he somehow made 20 an hour he would be so proud of himself and ready to retire to his own private island on such a rich bounty that he would have made a video about it on Jan 1 2024.

Even more mind blowing 1)wasting space on a bagel
2)wanting to eat some shitty Las Vegas bagel.

I agree.

I used to run a 45-minute 10K. Now, years later, I run a 30-minute 5K.

If asked my 10K time is 45.
