Whole album is ridiculously good mate...very impressed a 65 yo man can put out quality record. Had it on repeat

Yeah, album wasn't out yet when I posted that, but I completely agree. I especially like the single and Endsong.

gman - are you a veteran if you are still in the service?

I use the veteran's parking spot at Lowes, but IDK how legit that is.

it never even crossed my mind if active duty military would be considered veterans, i just always assumed all military personnel were, but apparently they are not, or so says VA.gov.

a "veteran" is a person who served in the active military and was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.

learn something new everyday...

regardless, happy veterans day.

Def plan to have a cider. IDK about gluten-free beer. That's a very niche market and it's hard to do.

Yeah, I'm not looking to get a distribution deal. Looking to set up in a jurisdiction that allows breweries to sell for offsite consumption and do growlers and kegs that way, but not trying to get

Happy War to End All Wars day holiday for those who put on the dress uniform, and later just wore fatigues everywhere.

Craft breweries have become an extremely hyper saturated and competitive market. I drink a ton and still drive by unheard of breweries that popped up over night; often on expensive commercial real estate. I would guess that many of them are hobbies, expensive hobbies.

make some gluten free options on tap and i'm there

aww. I have had that was plausible from the Sprouts grocery store. It was a while ago and can't remember the name. Beer Advocate probably knows everything.

I put $2K on Trump when the bookies were offering even money - figured it was +EV and here we are. Still kind of bummed though.

You don't need a million dollars to do nothin. Take a look at my cousin. He's broke, don't do sh*t!

My neighbor doesn't work other than to ask me for loanations. He was supposed to contribute by letting me take him to the polls on Election day but went MIA.

by DeadMoneyWalking k

good posts all. On a negative note, one of the many annoying things about politics is the loss of election day. We won't be voting as a nation today and we won't know the winner at the end. I am telling myself I won't watch the news Tuesday night knowing the statistical noise will be irrelevant b

omg I was a perfect 0% on all of my predictions (as usual). If I gambled I would have gone busto betting that Harris wins the popular vote.

I would like my customers to have food options, but I don't want to run a restaurant, so I'll either rent out space to someone who wants to run a similarly small-scale restaurant or I'll get food trucks in. If the latter, it would also be nice to be close to a restaurant people can get takeout from

Did I take you and Mrs. Garick to Truck 'n' Tap when you were in the ATL one time? They do the rotating food truck concept, and I love it.

I think so? That place in the downtown of a once separate city, now suburb? If that's the place, it was def cool.

Winter is back, boys, and day 1 is in the books! Time to turn the chat into snowboard/ski central.

I have what I hope is a simple question for the lawyers in here. My gf and I broke up about a year and a half ago due to her continued alcohol abuse and refusal to quit despite several hospitalizations linked to a failing liver and other health issues. She was on probabtion for drugs from many years ago. When she left she left her address with her probation officer as my address. Now, she has apparently had multiple "diluted" UAs and has had her probation revoked. She was supposed to show up today for her last visit and to be done, but instead they revoked her. They warned her last month she might want to get a lawyer so she did and he confirmed she shouldn't show up today, lol.

All of that to ask, what is my play? She moved out of here almost 2 years ago and moved out of state. I assume they're going to come knocking on my door looking for her. I really don't want to make anything worse for her by telling them that she lives out of state now and just flies back every month for her appointments, but I'm not willing to put myself in any sort of jeopardy on account of her irresponsibility. Is the best thing to do just to tell them she doesn't live here and refuse to answer any other questions? Say I don't remember when she left? Or just tell them the truth and let her lawyer deal with it? It was an amicable break up and I don't want to worsen her situation at all. I've asker her to consult her lawyer on what I should say, but he is obviously only going to have her interests in mind.

Thanks in advance for any input. This is in Texas if that matters.

Not a lawyer but just wanted to say that…as someone who is in the hopefully last stages of a marriage with someone who developed booze and drug addictions…I feel you. Not fun at all and I’m happy for you that you are out of it

My POV would be to tell them nothing at all - you have a right to remain silent right? And you’ve done nothing wrong - right up to the point where it becomes any kind of problem for you and to then be totally honest with them.

Thanks feely, I started to compare my situation to yours, but there's really no comparison. I had it easy compared to you. That's pretty much what I was thinking. I'll tell them she doesn't live here anymore and to direct any further questions to her lawyer.

IANAL.

Seems like what you're thinking is a reasonable approach. "Beats me, she moved a couple years ago, no idea now. Find her lawyer."

I mean, and GTFO of TX, ldo.

I am also not a lawyer, but I agree that you are not your ex-girlfriend's keeper. You have no responsibility to offer information about her, especially since she has a lawyer. Refer any queries to the lawyer and for your own part I'd just say "she doesn't live here." I wouldn't lie, but if pressed I'd just say "I don't want to pass on hearsay. Talk to her lawyer."

Yeah, it was as a stupid question in hindsight. After having a few hours to calm down and think about her idiocy rationally, I think it's probably unlikely they even come here looking for her. They typically just wait for someone like that to get pulled over or something. If they do, just referring them to her lawyer is the simple no brainer solution.

Not sure you’d be able to keep up with 4 seasons of weather info. That’s overload for 1 season people.

We're finally out of "Too damned hot" season, and temps will drop 20 degrees between tomorrow and Saturday. Should be perfect golf weather.
