Currently -7F here with a wind chill of -26F.
And we had 16" of snow down since Sunday... a full month before Christmas. Earliest we've ever had this much on the ground.
Last year we had a "green" Christmas but the temps were in the -30s. January 2 the snow came down like a ****ing hammer.
Hot chocolate? Marshmallows? Da fuq? Drop some bourbon in that coffee and get after it - you live in Murica#1.
Cannonball Run III is alive. Follow along and laugh at me.
No marshmallows.

Happy Thanksgiving houmos
happy turkey day. i know im not a regular here but since i was on here tonight i thought i'd share the message as well.
(though i used to be a regular on here under an old name i cant access anymore but did see i got a post in one of the sticky's so thanks!)
play cards in vegas last weekend - no good pots. but good god i feel like ive been playin my A-game lately. had it been me from last year i wouldve walked away from the weekend down 3 buy-ins easyily. instead i left up a meager $200 bucks after handing some poor fool $500+ in about 3 hands. i say poor fool because while he doesnt know it yet, he's gonna go broke and its gonna ****in ruin him mentally. he was the type of player who really thought he had figured the game out. you couldnt tell him nothin. he was on a level god would have to tilt its head up to see clearly. sadly, it was sheer luck but ego a sumnabitch for some folks and you cant take away their earned credit and deliver it to such a faceless concept such as "luck" without cathcin' a diatribe of **** you's and other colorful metaphors and analogies.
thanks for reading my blog post *thumbs up emoji*
shrug emoji.
That was one of the most boring and poorly told stories in the history of the chat thread.
And there have been some doozies. I’m sure you can do better
thank you, i definitely can. it cerainly has more of a paragraph hastily written on wall of a bathroom stall than engaging or thrilling addition of content to the zeitgeist. i appreciate your confidence in me though, i think i can too, and i readily accept the critique.
and you've kinda tipped my hand to spoil my holiday gift for you, but i was gonna get you a very well told story in the chat thread for the holidays <3 <3
New USA#1 Turkey Day tradition, the worst told boring story?

So I had the flu over the weekend and I'm couch-ridden and surfing channels when I stumble upon Stripes and watch it for a minutes.
Is that who I think it is at 0:30 - 0:37 ("yeah, man")?
Thing is, I can't find any record of him being in that movie? It's been driving me nuts, and lol @ me, I've spent like a solid hour trying to come up with proof of this but can't find any?

If anyone is ever in the LA area feel free to pm.
Would love to treat you to drinks and dinner.
Huh. Never noticed that, good eye, GG. I did mention over in the movie thread that I'd caught the credits the other day, and noticed Bill Pullman was credited under "Soldiers".
Happy Penners, you turkeys!
That's what I thought, but I have yet to Google any proof that confirms this. Weird?
ETA: Everywhere I've looked lists his film debut as 48 Hrs in 1982 (Stripes from 1981 is never mentioned).

IMDb didn’t credit him?
Nope. Not even in Trivia section.

Bears gonna Bear. JFC
the coach simply has to be gone at the end of the year
You must have not bet the Bears since they covered 😀 But it was terrible end of game management.
Had nothing on the game... but that was a top 3 all time masterclass in how to NOT manage the end of a game when you still have a shot to tie it.
Looking hard at SNF and MNF games in prep for my trip to LV on Sunday.
We call that "dinner.".
All of the stories are about food, that we just ate, about how we cooked it, despite watching each other cook for the past 5 hours.
I trust you have already spotted Gus Fringe in Trading Places.
I'm sorry to hear that, bunch of people are sick in our house too. Get well soon.
