Just doing two episodes is so weird but then they go and just pick two people no poker player can relate to. I loved Nikki limo tho but I want to see someone not run it twice with 10 hands left. Hopefully this next girl was the more gto savvy of the options

Agree it’s pretty ridiculous that they pick 2 women when there is only 3 women and 16 men. The only way a man would’ve been picked is if there were 19 men and 0 women to choose from.
Turned it off halfway through the first episode of the new line up, its cringe.
Original big game was an awesome show with a lot of pro battling and memorable cannons. First line up here was ok tbh but this second table is just crap.
first lineup gave hope but ya this one is c listers. I know Entertainment is doing that thing where you cant get a job if your a white male but in poker where the audience is 99% male and 95% white it is truly a choice they have made

It's been a long time.
You know it's bad when celebrity non-poker pro Michael Ian Black is clearly the best player at the table.
I'm also a fan in the set over set hand when Maria has 55, and the commentator says Maria would love to get it in against TP + flush draw. Which ya know is totally possible on this board.
I didn't think it was that bad. The amateur office chair salesman seemed to be the most entertaining , laak was being old school laak and Michael Ian black really surprised me with his play.
Maria Ho doesn't really do anything for me, hasn't for years. Idk why she keeps getting invites. I could do without grafton and the loose cannon is meh.
Grafton nit pre flop call with JJ was annoying vs the loose cannon.
Then got paid when he flopped his set.
Although, I guess if he 3 bet it in position like he was supposed to, he would have got her entire stack.
It's Sam grafton, a UK pro. Like you said he's usually really loud and outgoing. You would think that was good for TV poker but although I've got nothing against him, and he always plays well, he just makes the table more annoying imo.
Ooh FFS, that's Sam Grafton? Yeah, definitely a name I've heard/read over the years, but never one I attached to a face.
Is there such a thing as attractiveness bias? Because I like Nikki better than Lilly, but I think it’s only because Lily is ugly and Nikki is not.
Thoughts:
Somebody get Laak some pineapple vodka sodas.
Grafton sniping as usual and still getting people to pay.
Highlight:
Maria Ho getting stacked with a set despite almost every indicator she was beat.
Verdict:
Will watch only if I'm bored.

pretty sure there's gonna be a big reveal that dave is actually the LC.
Dave Krosky might be the worst player I've ever seen.
It's very funny to watch.
Phil Laak gets a look at his play and instantly tops up his stack to 100k.
This cannon is a much better player than the last one but has 0 charisma. Not particularly rooting for her.
Episode 2 was much better. I'm hooked again.

There was like 20 hands or so left. LC turned a flush with 32s against Dave's TPNK on 966x.
Dave bets, LC raises, Dave jams, and LC snaps.
In an almost repeat of the previous LC ****ing up at the end, she lets Dave talk her into running it 4x. Fortunately for her she wins all 4. Locks it up and walks away with like a $50k profit.
I think running it 4x was justifiable in that spot. Extremely unlikely she loses 2, and even then she is still a small winner. Such a disaster if she runs it once and Dave hits his four outer. Plus everyone at that table should be doing everything they can to appease Dave.
Speaking of which, Michael Ian Black reminded me of some of the miserable nitregs I play with at Mohegan Sun 1/2.

Terrible lineup this time. Grosky just trying to chipdump. Like what the F is with this "i want you to win" ****?
Overall it's painful to watch this game, just nutpeddling. Grafton OK, pulling moves from time to time and has chat. Maria Ho is solid TAG and meets the eye, can't go wrong with that.
Laak past his time boring nit. Grosky just absolute dream for every table, i mean there isn't a table, where he isn't the mark. Michael Ian Black weak nit.
It's just a boring watch of nits trying to get Groskys money. So little 3betting and stealing, just peddling along.
I think the problem is that this game is too small for the real Gs of poker now, but it needs some juice.
Lineup should be a combination of guys like that IMO:
Loose cannon
Ambitious billionaire, who loves poker(in the mold of Laliberte)
Some online cashgame wizard
1 guy from the Macao scenery(this will never happen as 50k is peanuts for those I guess)
Dwan for creativity and he always has the talk at the tables.

It just doesn't work right now IMO.
Worst setup , Worst Group , Poker Stars your loose cannon selection of influencers instead of normal players was the worst ever decision you could of made !!!! It's so obvious both selections were chosen by party favors . Hell if i ever watch such a disgusting fake show
The stakes werent high enough, 12 years ago they were showing 200/400 with a 100k stake.
With inflation it should be something like 500/1k with a 250k stake instead they went smaller, the game was smaller then the weekly wednesday game at hustler, nobody cared.
It was very woke, very 2024, it was aimed at a recreational player.
That being said I did enjoy it.
what do you expect, these shows are only made for the purpose of advertising
even in 2010, stars wasn’t producing the big game and shark tank to provide quality content as a culture favor to the poker masses, they did it to convince recs that poker is fun and that they should play on stars
