So if you were put in charge of the WSOP you would turn the Collossus into a one entry freezeout?

I think the WSOP has come to a good point of balance. Most of the 1k and under NLH are either 1 entry per flight or 1 re-entry per flight.

This is a good compromise. I think Colossus was 1 entry per flight this year. Also many multi day 1 tournaments seem that way as well, where single day 1 low buyins seem to be 1 re-entry. I played the $800 deepstack and that allowed 1 reentry.

It would be unwise to make something like colossus or any of these multi day 1 tournaments to be 1 entry total. You would drive your players to other tournaments if they bust a bullet. If you play and bust the colossus friday and can't enter the next flight on Saturday then you are likely to go play a tournament somewhere else, which is bad for WSOP.

My only change would be to move late reg/reentry deadline back a few levels.

Main event should remain a freezeout forever.

there shouldn't even be $500 events at the WSOP

Sure there should be. It's all marketing. People are just silly when they want bracelets to be something prestigious.

8th in poy, blum 2nd. Part of hid hustle to convin e gish he is s good player

Agree with all. Think a few allowed two reentries which is fine. Online is its own nonsense, don’t care about that.

Recs want a large prize pool like everyone else. They don’t need saving.

Something to be said for turning $500 into 500K as well.

The ability to entice and handle the large fields and possible huge ROI brings in crowd. If you are a bracelet hunter like the odds in 1500 nl sd better

It was on the vlog. At one point, if I recall correctly, he said it literally did not matter what his cards were he just wanted to keep going all in until he built a stack. He lost a bunch of hands this way until he finally won one, so he successfully rich manned the field.

This is more than "rich manned" the field.

DN is not playing his own money, like rich guy Andy Beal used to do, it likely helps to be sponsored for unlimited bullets by GGPoker, which literally owns the WSOP.

This whole ‘ it’s not his own money’ thing is laughable.
Daniel gets a salary from GG. Some of it comes in the form of tournament buyins that he can only use for that, playing tournaments.
Let’s say he earns 4m a year, but he, contractually, has to gamble 2m of that.
It’s still his money. Some years he will earn more than 4m, some years he will earn less - it all depends on his results.

by TampaKn1sh

Not sure if I missed it or not, but Dnegs fired FOURTEEN bullets in the unlimited re-entry Plossus event on WSOP and finished up in 31st place.

Hey he's been running well in the 10Ks, so it makes sense to try to turn that tourney into a 10K 😃

what's laughable is anonymous 2+2 poster thinking he knows the specifics of Daniel's GG contract. if you want my guess, I think he owns a piece of GG

For cash games I agree. Too many promos at casinos favor grinders which is incredibly stupid. For tournaments a lot of the appeal to recs is big prize pools.Your average rec who plays 25ks very well may have more ability to fire 5 bullets than an average pro playing them. So I don't think I'd agree with that assertion in all cases.

Total Oxymoronic statement. Average rec doesn't

Wow thank you captain obvious the average player doesn't play 25ks good to know

If it was his money, then if he played zero tournaments he would ma $4m and would pay taxes on $4m. But if you have the deal structure correct, he would only make and pay taxes on $2m.

At most the tax liability of the buyins is his money

Sorry to point out the idiocy of your statement. It is also totally obvious that rich recs can better afford the buyins but you felt the need to say that. Does that make you Lt. Obvious?

Pot, you might want to look up the word 'irony' lol.

crazy the amount of haters in this chat

even if u find him OTT now u gotta admit DN has had a long ccarer as a POKER PLAYER

In the $50K PLO, on his last bullet. I think only 2 bullets are allowed. Doubled up with AAxx vs AAxx allin preflop shortly after reentering and has twice the starting stack.

I’m pretty sure that was his third entry, which is the max.

Daniel busted his 3rd and final bullet in the Event #57: $50,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller

Easy come, easy go.

I've officially reached the time of year where I'm more annoyed watching this guy than enjoying. Lasted 24 days, not bad.
See you all next season

He’s right that PLO is a stupid game though. Everyone thinks they are good at it, and no one actually is.
Should probably stick to the limit games.

Was funny in the last vlog when he called Amanda asking if he should come home and spend some time with here and she was like.. Nah, go fire the Milly Maker and 2-7 instead.

A lot of people are good at PLO. DNegs is not one of them.

So 3 bullets for $150K. He could still lose for the Series.
