Dept Q - Loved the first 8 episodes but the last episode was a little too tidy. It went from a decent paced show to "we are leaving for vacation tomorrow so lets get this wrapped up quickly". Definitely watching the next season but felt like the finale didn't really fit the rest of the episodes.

The pace is even worse than that. The first 1/2 of the last episode is like the first 8. The last half seemed like above. I was telling my wife that there is 30 minutes to go and they need to wrap this all up. gl.
I just finished the apple show Lessons in chemistry.
It's really a beautiful feel good mini series.
Im onto Shantaram now, very good too. Glad i got this free trial of apple tv, im gonna get through all the less popular shows they have. Pachinko next.
I had these on my Plex since they came out and never got to them. They don't seem super interesting but once you get into them, they're really masterfully done.
Never heard of Shantaram. On the list now. I really enjoyed Lessons in Chemistry also.
For now, I'm going back and forth between Arrested Development and Transparent. Really liking Transparent.
Shantaram unfortunately got pretty panned by critics then cancelled.
I've been meaning to watch it sometime anyway as it's a wild story and I can see Charlie Hunnam being good as the lead.
The Bear is back, and I think it's better than S2. (4 episodes in)

like all the writers and directors went on stirke or something, and for the last episode they just had to do the best they could with unskilled replacements.
I actually love finale fails, like GoT. that **** was hilarious
also with series it's all about the journey, not the destination. if a series is great, it's not ruined just cuz the finale was terrible.
like if first five seasons of GoT are incredebilve viewing, it doesn't make them less incredible because season 8 was garbage
and dept q was highly watchable ep2-7 or whatever it was
Thats really depends on the show and important plot points imo.
Game of Thrones was, in fact, ruined because of the ending. The very first scene starts with the White Walkers and the whole build-up, after 9 years their king gets stabbed by a 14-year-old girl after a battle you couldn't even see. Bran as king? Lmao. It was all so rushed too.
A lot of very important plot points, established early on in the show, are resolved so terribly at the end. So why should I care about it in a rewatch?
Vikings also got very bad at the end, but i stopped my rewatch after you know what in S4. Amazing 4 seasons with a perfect ending, and 2 more bad seasons couldnt ruin that.
Dexter? Just stop at the end of S4, amazing show with a nice ending. Nothing left hanging there. Californication? Last season is terrible, just stop at S4 or mabye s6 and you got a great show.
Stick is meh...mostly because the writing sucks.
This guy is down on his luck, get's $100k from his wife when she sells their common house, gives it to the mom of the whiz kid for some freakin reason, and now is supposed to pay for an 8 week road trip and top of the line clubs? GTFO
7 eps in and not even Maron can make this good. You know the whole season before the end of that first batch of 3. I’ll keep going but yeah…. Hugely disappointing.
Final cheers to Big Mouth. Great show, incredible voice acting. Underappreciated in its time but I think it will have long legs as a legacy Netflix series with many episodes

think its a BBC show based in liverpool (sort of love/hate vibe - street drugs etc)

I actually really liked it. Not as good as S1, but 2/3 were solid. Very dark at times.
The VIPs were cartoonishly bad though. What the hell was up with those voices? Police story was kinda bad to.

shes obviously had surgery but its not nearly as bad as its being made out
