I've lost count the amount of times I've been refused the last seat at a table, due to being reserved for a VIP. Then only for regs who no doubt win more than me, take that seat. Regs who play a variety of styles also. So the system is far from perfect, and pretty unfair.

I don't think you are right, because I don't see any player that have high winning(depend on my understanding on their skills) but don't get HSP.

Some regs(at least at basic statistics on the game) can see all tables and sit down to the 8th seat of 100-200 and above, but I don't think they are winning players or maybe just small win.

All good players(on my view) get the HSP's tag.

Someone (employee) tried to explain the Phil Kessel situation on discord saying something like "We hope you don't mind we changed the...we think you are still getting fair value" . They just ignore the fact that it means more people will enter the tourney.

Just to help you out this is what a good response from a site that wants people to trust them looks like.

“We WPT understand that by changing the Phil Kessel tourney to allow direct buy-in means we broke our promise that it was ticket entry only. We understand that trusting a poker site is important for players and that by breaking our own terms we have given reason for players not to trust us. In order to regain complete trust we will refund all 45 players who completed the challenge 125$ regardless of whether they won or not in the slot challenge and also they will retain their ticket to the Phil Kessel invitational. We are sincerely sorry.”

Do you have the hsp tag yourself?

I mean you can have your opinion about their skill level, fair enough, and probably there are regs who are not winning much at the tables, but still they take a seat that should be reserved for a recreational, doesnt that go against the "ecosystem protection"?

I would say your understanding of the skill sets required to win big in these games might be flawed. Or like mentioned above, you have a vested interest in protecting those who game the system, as you are one of those yourself.

Yes I have, I cannot see all the tables, and cannot sit at the 8th seat of the 100-200 tables and above.

Can you give me the name that you think he is reg but still take a seat for recreational? Because I don't see any.

And yes I am not too happy with this system, but I am "happy enough" with current situation, like Alex said "this system protects recreational players". I am playing this platform for more than 4 years and this "fair system" is not new to me. In Pokerking they run this system about 9 months/a year, and 3 months they will remove it.

In Vietnam, 30-40k/month is huge money and I am ok with what WPT is doing, make the game longer so we can player longer.

You can read my another cmt above. I believe in what Alex said "we should protect recreational players" and I am ok with this fair system.

Good for you if u make 30/40k a month, if you win this much it doesn't mean the system is good, you would probably win even more if you could use that 8th seat yourself, wouldnt you?

Anyway in the next days I'll post a list of regs who are most likely not tagged as hsp.
As I said before their level and playstyle is gonna be various, some could be huge winners, some slightly winners, I honestly cant be sure.

Yes I can win more if this system removed but how long? I am not happy but not too disappointed. What I need is I can play longer on WPT.

And do you know what GG have done in the last 2 years? Last year they increase rake from 4bb/100 hands(already high) to 7bb/100 hands. And now in 2024 they decided to ban all of high stake pros to their VIP game.

Their mindset's is the same with WPT, they want to protect recreational players, just different methods. GG ban all the regs, WPT limited regs by some restrictons. So what method do you want WPT applying?

This isn't correct, VPNs are prohibited and I've explained the situation with the pros earlier in the thread.

By all means send me the players that you believe should be tagged as expert. I can't promise anything will come of it, but I'll gladly take a look and make sure things are working as we'd expect.

No, Club WPT Gold is limited to some of the US states and Canadian provinces. I'm not involved in the project but my understanding is that it will have a different player pool, yes.

Hi, I have withdrawn several times via crypto and only the first time did it show me the conversion rate. I have seen that it has charged me between 0.6 to 1.3% between the USD and USDT quotes. This doesn't make sense since there is never such a high gap between usdt and usd. How can I solve this?

What company and conversion rate does it use daily to know when it is best for me to withdraw?

If you PM me more information I can dig into this for you. We use various different processors in different countries. We don't charge any fee, but the processor might, and of course there may be gas fees associated with a USDT transfer as well.

Guys, does anybody experience lags and slow software, when you refresh the lobby? Let's say I'm at one or two tables and I refresh the lobby, my tables become super laggy and slow for ~3 seconds and it's extremely annoying because I need to time my refresh when I don't have any hand or at the start of my decision to have any time left to do my action. It never happened before and now it's basically the standard.

Also for Alex:
1. Sometimes I click on the slider´s "+" and it makes my bet all in (not to mention, when I'm acting super quickly, I click on + and then instantly on the bet button, and I'm all in. Quite a huge bug
2. Sometimes I click on the table to activate it, then hover over the fold, call, or raise buttons, and it somehow clicks on the first button I hovered over. It´s extremely annoying. I have a 40 mb download speed and 20 mb upload speed without any packet losses and this looks like some kind of delay bug...
3. I have a problem withdrawing with my preferred withdraw option (which I used before, my bank account) because support told me that I'm able to withdraw just through Luxon. Here are my deposits to the account. How so, that I can´t withdraw to any of my deposit methods? I already made a withdraw to Luxon, but I'm curious about the future...

Yes today it was incredibly laggy for me, same thing where you just look at buttons and the software clicks them for you.

Today I noticed some changes in buy in amount and what I was able to take off. It was different for all tables so not sure if it's a bug or a change...
I play 6+ and some tables i sat with 100a and couldn't take off under 200a. Nothing to see like "deep" or anything seemed random.

Public Beta of New Client (v2.0.x)

As some of you know, in the initial version of our client we made some technology choices that enabled us to develop for multiple platforms, but which caused performance problems for some users (high CPU, GPU, memory and/or power usage, especially on devices running Windows). We now have a public beta available of a v2 client, which makes significant performance and stability improvements by upgrading the core technology.

There are no new features in this release but performance and stability should be dramatically improved compared to v1. It has been through some extensive testing and we've fixed most of the known issues, but there is certainly a chance that bugs remain.

Consider trying the beta if you're technically sophisticated and have experienced performance or stability problems. If you've had no issues so far, I'd recommend that you wait until v2 is publicly released in the coming weeks.

Hi - your first two issues may be fixed by the beta which I mention above, so it's worth trying. On the withdrawal issue, I'm not sure what the exact issue might be but there are a few possible explanations. If you please contact [email][email protected][/email] they should be able to explain why this is the case.

Please try the beta above, as it's designed to resolve performance and stability issues like this.
