[Bodog/Bovada/Ignition] Unofficial Thread
This thread is to separate the Bovada-related comments and questions from the Official Bodog Support Thread, which is there only for questions or concerns about anything Bodog-branded.
There is no official Bovada Rep at 2+2 at this time, but perhaps if discussion is effected in a civil manner, one might arrive in due course?
Thank you.

I did not think they would be sweeping this under the rug but after a long back and forth where I showed them exactly what happened and why the cashouts are incorrect, including screenshots and hand histories they have decided the matter is closed for discussion.
I showed them that I received bounty payouts in the $20k GTD Mystery KO but I did not receive my in-the-money cashout. In that tournament structure, it's impossible to receive bounties until everyone is in-the-money. This did not register with them. dafuq?
I’m a long time hs plo reg on ignition. Quite obvious there is either bots or a sophisticated team taking all the action. I’ve quit and I won’t play again.
4 emails plus live chat, they acknowledged they had technical issues and said winnings will reach account soon within 24 hours hopefully (was 48 hours ago).
Latest reply:
“ We hope this email finds you well!
We appreciate the time you have taken to request more information about the status of your poker game.
We want to tell you that currently our keeping at poker tables continues so you should be able to a little more. we will be informing you about any news.”
LOL
Well at least we got forums now where we see other people are having issues. I haven't been on here in forever. Logged on just to read and post. Long time player here. They've probably gotten hundreds of thousands from me in rake over the years plus sports losses (lol). They don't care about long time players. It's a joke. I would advise anyone to not use the site and go to BOL or something like that if you're a casual bettor. It's an extremely unprofessional company.
I have around $700 in lost funds from SNGS. I just called them now after calling several times before. The people you get aren't authorized to refund you anything. They can only give cash bonuses. I do believe them on that. The woman I talked to was probably the most insightful person I've gotten up to this point. She also said they don't work weekends. Obviously, they had the site down and got it back up so someone was working that. But in terms of dealing with stuff like this she's most likely telling the truth so yesterday would have been the first day they worked on this.
What's insane is how they don't give you any time frame. No apology to your email on any of this. No type of update or reassurance. You're pretty much in the dark. It's enough people affected where I think they're incentivized to pay, but not enough where there is any sense of urgency. All we can do is apply pressure and if we don't get paid let them know that there will be serious ramifications and players will be getting the word out to leave bovada because they don't care at all about the players when they have technical issues and basically look for any reason whatsoever to blow you off.
Anyone who gets paid please post. What's hilarious too is how you can't speak to any manager, superadvisor, etc. This is done on purpose so they don't have to deal with people. It's so unprofessional on so many levels. The only positive thing I can say is the people I have talked to have at least acknowledged there is a problem and claim there is a team working on it, different than just claiming you're wrong in which case you'd totally be screwed. But who knows - they could be screwing around with a 1 all solution to get the system to automatically pay out everything and not know how to do it. If no one gets paid by today, that's clearly what's going on and who knows if they'll ever get it fixed.
I registered the Saturday morning 75+7 MTT before realizing that there were any issues. By the time I was about to lose this tournament, I was aware of the issues, so I took a screenshot that included the lobby, my table, and the other table.
I sent an email with this picture, and got no response. After chatting with live support just now, it seemed like the guy understood that people got ****ed, but he wasn't allowed to give me anything.
As recently as even a couple years ago, Ignition would make things right when it's this clear. Now it seems like they consider this too much of a mess to sort out, similar to their general approach towards collusion and botting.

Right. I don't believe general support is authorized to do anything, assuming you even get someone who is competent which is about 20% of the time imo. What's incredibly moronic is how the "team" won't even contact you. There should be an email going to everyone affected apologizing and saying they're working on it. Nothing. I'm pretty sure bovada twitter/x had nothing posted on this either lol. I remember when the whole site crashed for 2 days a couple years ago. They tweeted about that because they HAD to. And then I think the bonus they gave was $50
Let's hope someone posts here saying they got their money. I think this is a one all thing they're trying to do, like I said. I'm not sure they're going by every individual account - but trying to fix the system error to automatically pay everything. They're too lazy to address players 1 by 1. Problem is if that's what they're doing well you can either fix that system error or you can't. And if you can't what your plan B? Just screw the players. They notoriously don't like to give you the benefit the doubt so if they don't find some magical system solution this is bad news
Still no payment. It's crazy how badly they're handling this. All they had to do was send out some kind of message that it happened and they need time to find a resolution. They could take months after that, I wouldn't care. There's no reason not to contact the affected players unless their customer service is completely incompetent or they're intending to not pay out. They're making a small situation worse by acting shady and suspicious.
Support told me the matter is no longer up for discussion. They have investigated the matter and the cash outs were correct. LOL..
I showed them screenshots of the lobby showing 7 people sitting at a 6max table when there were 5 people left in the tournament. The chip stack ranking also only showed 5 people with chips. I also showed them a lobby showing 12 people sitting down at a 10max table.
I showed them how I received bounties in the Mystery KO but no prize cashout for being in the money. Collecting bounties is impossible without at least min cashing. They said the bounties reflected that the cashouts were working correctly. Then they said it's no longer up for discussion and closed the chat.
They finally acknowledged it publicly on their IgnitionCasino twitter. 4 days later, that's wild.
'We are aware that some players have experienced recent issues with tournament pay-outs.
We apologize to our community and those affected, we are working on a solution and will make this right as soon as possible.'

I saw this too and tried to reopen the discussion. Once again, they tried to claim there isn't an issue. I asked them to explain how I received bounties but no cash prize when bounties aren't awarded until everyone is in the money. I asked them about a different tourney and how 7 people are showing in the lobby when it's a 6 max and we were at the final table with 5 people left. They said to wait while they escalated. Then disconnected the chat "due to inactivity" and whenever I try to reconnect to support I am denied being connected due to invalid messages (I said Hello?)

Yeah, that's ****ed up. I'm sure they told that to many people, and those who aren't apart of these discussions took it at face value and just let it go. The last time I talked to support they were being uncharacteristically rude and unhelpful, without me even pressing them, but they always were aware of the issue and that there's no resolution yet.
I don't think they even know how to fix this. I've stopped playing on there for now, but think their tweet is at least a good sign.
The tweet is good confirmation that they will make things right.
I also completed a cashout today, very fast and no issues.
i think everyone should stop losing their minds.. this is a rare and different situation like any other.. it shows 60 players left but in reality there is only 8 left and when you bust, they credit you 60th place money. i imagine it would take some time to fix this, they have to dive deep into a bunch of tourneys and they credited money into players accounts when they bust too, so they would have to deduct that from the actual prize the players should have won, it seems nearly impossible to give everyone the correct exact figure, they might just come up with some kind of settlement amount..but i think it should be at least what we would've won, some tourney tickets maybe too..
It's challenging to not get frustrated on how this has been handled. I've now talked to 5 different support people and they all had different approaches. Last night's conversation was infuriating as they said the case was closed and not open for discussion anymore while ignoring the clear indications that there was an issue shown by my screenshots that I shared.
Finally, the last support person I just chatted with said that the investigation was reopened after I relentlessly pushed for it to be reopened. They said the investigation would continue and the details and screenshots were helpful in resolving. That's the best news I've received but still not all that satisfying. At least there is some hope instead of trying to gas light and saying there was no issue to resolve.
Note: to reopen the investigation, I had to provide the tournament IDs, date/time of incorrect cash out, my ISP, my OS and my location.
I was playing the SNGs and every time I won a game I got no money. For me, it should be pretty easy. Look at every game I played where I won and credit me the money. Problem is I'm not sure it shows that when they look at the tables.
The real issue is that it seems like a system thing they're trying to work out. If they can't figure it out, I'm not sure there is another plan. They are way too cheap to go player by player and just manually credit winnings, which is what they should do if they can't figure it out.
I don't see them fixing this during this week to be honest. But at the least the fact that there's a tweet is a decent sign that they aren't trying to sweep it under the rug.
Btw, make it right? LOL. How about compensating everyone half their missing winnings in addition, up to a certain amount. Course not. They don't have any VIP system or anything. A joke really.
I used betonline for a number of years. So much I wagered over a mill I guess and made it the VIP. Just last year randomly I see $1500 in my account as a VIP welcome bonus. lol $1500!!!!! I was the third highest tier. They apparently have a couple levels higher. Could you imagine bovada ever doing that? The VIP equivalent for me on bovada would probably be at least that third tier, but probably the 2nd tier. Also, they give me $500 for a bonus bet the start of every football season. Compare this to bovada who will give you $50 for all this crap. It's a joke. BOL would give me at least $200 for this, maybe as much as $500 for having $700 missing and given how long it'll take.
Also used to play back in the day on absolute poker - despite what happened with the super user stuff they had the best customer service of any gambling site in history. I'll touch on that more later. But you don't realize how bad this is until you actually see what other professionally run websites do to take care of their players

see thats whats crazy, is like why did they make you go thru all that bullshit when they just gonna give you the same response about we are working on it blah blah. Its just weird they like treat every chat with each person differently. they act like nothing fuckin happened. ask u for all this supporting shit and then tell u to fuck off. its wild
Looking to trade a $200 visa gift card for $200 ignition p2p inbox me
Have people recived any payouts yet? I came second in one of the 1k guarantees 4 days ago and still yet to receive anything.
Ignition Casino... I was playing blackjack and it froze. $15 taken from me. I want it back. I called and they said they'll get back to me. We'll see if they make it right! And what this suddenly scratch and win is $150 minimum deposit and $150 in bets in the casino??
I'm chalking this up as a loss tbh. I don't think they know what they're doing. In the event they do pay out, everyone would probably get their money at the same time. Again, a professionally run site would compensate people within a day or 2. Just go player by player. But they're not willing to do that.
Good point about them wanting a bunch of casual fish vs any long time players. It's clearly their model. They had a VIP system for a few months like a yearish? back and then they got rid of it. Very strange. You almost never see a website abolish a VIP system. They did it because they thought it wasn't a net gain for them.
Back in the day at absolute poker, I had this VIP host Alex. Service was insane. He'd try using alternative processors that wouldn't get used on regular players to try and push through cc transactions (before all the crypto remember). I could get a free $500 buy in to a tournament per month no problem. And overall the guy was just very personable. Any issues you had you were gonna be fine no problem and in a timely manner. Compare that to what you get on bovada where you're just another peasant and you're never given the benefit of the doubt. They also had a rewards store you could use to exchange points from poker for all kinds of crap. I remember having enough points to get a pretty nice watch. Granted, I played for quite a bit at that time. But the bottom line is they knew regs carried the action and made them a lot of money so they treated you well. And the platform was less than Stars or Tilt where the customer service there was pretty run of the mill. Just so many players I'm not sure you could even talk to someone on the phone at Stars. But Absolute was a clear #3 and Stars and Tilt got the better bulk of the randos so there was a major push on Absolute to take care of their long term players that were carrying action.
Betonline is a website that caters to a lot of professional bettors and/or large sized bettors. They'll get a lot of casuals too, but I think bovada gets way more. Bovada used to have a 1k limit for me on bets a while back. Many years ago. They got rid of that probably based on my activity. But on BOL generally they always had higher limits - at least for the major sports. And again, they have a VIP system because I think their clientele is more quality over quantity. Lesser players than bovada, but big time bettors. So they will take care of you if you're a long time customer and have given them a bunch of money. On bovada, a guy who gives out a mill is treated the same as a guy who signed up a week ago. Insane, but true. And funny thing about BOL is I got that $1500 bonus last year despite having not been there much at all in recent years. Most of that was all 7-10 years ago. But they clearly tracked all my wagers and saw I was over a mill so I got one of the top VIP levels.
I would love to drive out the action from bovada at some point and bankrupt the site. I just think management is so incredibly cheap. Forget about the people you talk to on the phone. They're all trained a certain way. It's upper management calling everything. If you treat a guy who has given you a million dollars the same as a guy who just signed up a week ago, you don't deserve to be in business. The only reason I've stayed there is because I have always made money in poker there and because of certain bet types/options/rules for certain sports. Otherwise, I'd have to be a total moron to stay there. And originally I got referred and was getting rakeback so that was a major bonus, but that stopped.
And btw, when I say given a million dollars, I'm talking rake from poker + sportsbetting losses. Like on BOL, I lost a bunch of money. But it's pretty much the combined wagering totals that determine the VIP level. So my wagering history there is probably a few million. In terms of actual money given to bovada, when you combine all the rake from poker there plus all the money blown off from sports betting (not that I'm proud of it, but just to make a point), it's in the high six figures if not over a million dollars. So they're up at least a few hundred thousand more on me than BOL for sure. Rake alone from poker probably in the 300kish territory (covid period alone was likely 100k+ and all the money they were making at the time was from poker and casino games) and sports betting losses maybe 2-2.5x that. So just think about that. Yet, I'll get treated the same as everyone else. I'll get a $50 bonus for all these shenanigans. I have no power to talk to any supervisor or someone higher up to get better treatment for being a long time player. That's why you should't be on the site from a moral standpoint. Any casino would have no problem comping a guy who has given them a million dollars+ and is just always there giving them money.
I don't think if most people knew how badly they would treat an elite customer like me they would ever sign up there in a million years. Period. I'm not bragging or anything it's kinda embarrassing to admit all the losses, but I'm trying to make a point just how bad this is
Lollll good god
Just got paid out everything owed + points.
Cha ching! Good **** Ignition! I'm riiiiich biaaaaatch lollllll
