I always used to round up, but with online bill pay, I don't much anymore. At one point, I had quite a few sub $1 checks from various financial institutions and utility companies, including one from the Yuma County court system for almost $20 (from an $1800 fine) that I never cashed, and they called me on a year later. "No, never got it. Can you send another?" Now I have two.
Not sweating the ~$20, it was a reminder not to be stupid again.
Just as they hoped.

Somewhere in storage I have a check from AT&T for $0.01 which I never cashed.
When I run into it again, I'll post it and everyone will laugh, mostly because it will probably be 12-18 months from now.
Got a call from them today. Ofc, swiped away since I didn't know the number. VM said to call back at this number.
Talked to some guy who said I needed to provide a copy of photo ID. Asked if DL was sufficient.
V: "I'm not in the escalation department."
H: "Well, let's get someone on the phone who is, so we can be sure and not go through this again."
V: "You're going to send a copy of your driver's license, right?"
H: "Is that sufficient, and the last thing you will need?"
V: "I'm not in the escalation department."
Needless to say, the conversation went downhill from there.
Mostly, being honest has worked out for me, but this is one of those instances where it wasn't worth it.
