Ain't no party like a DKB party

Ain't no party like a DKB party

Greetings Everyone,

Plan is simple but hard to achieve 10k€ in the bank+bankroll and ~+2k$ income/monthly from poker.

After unexpected success in my first blog, where I succeed in making 1k$ profit in a month playing 25nl.
Wanted to continue keep myself accountable and have a good place for reflection.

In this blog I will be posting:
-Weekly updates (Result Graph,Sessions,RB,Interesting HH)
-Weekly goals and plans (upfront)
-Monthly updates
-Monthly goals and plans (upfront)

About me, I'm 26 year old male from Latvian and currently working full-time job(15days a month, 12h shifts). For now I'm playing 25nl PartyPoker Regular/Zoom tables and have a rakeback ~25%. In future might look into other options but for now I'm satisfied with 25nl pool of PartyPoker. Will be using aggressive bankroll management 20bi up with 2bi shots.

P.S. Will not end this blog until I achieve my goal, for how ever long it takes.

Thanks for reading.
Any feedback about how I played or thinks I could do better is much appreciated.

GJ, you could definitely put in WAY more volume now that you are playing full time

Will always be a low volume guy, but even for low volume standards 5k/week is not enough.

Week 34 Recap

Greetings,
Fine Results, very low volume due to being sick and choosing live over online during weekend. 200nl was fun this week but I'm still overly emotional playing it (adrenaline junkie). Still bad at Live cash and having hard time adjusting, even though we played DC regular nlhe or weird Super holdem (3 cards, can use 0-2 of your cards, NLHE rules).

Monday -Good productive day. Gym / blog / study / 2 session / sleep on time.
Tuesday - Also very productive day. Similar to Monday besides blog writing.
Wednesday - Skipped gym to go out to park/city center with GF. Played one session when I came back but could not keep my focus as I felt sick.
Thursday - Woke up sick, studied decent amount and played 0 poker.
Friday - Did not go to gym as I still felt semi-sick. Studied some in the morning and played 3 sessions (3rd ended early as I could not focus)
Saturday - Wasted morning doing noting (feeling less sick), played one session before going to 1/1€ which was fun but I lost 200€. game felt good as we wehre watching Usky vs Fury in the background.
Sunday - Decided to take a day off

For this following week won't plan anything big with poker as going out with GF on Monday, celebrating Xmas at parents house, celebrating Birthday at 27 of December.

Week 36 & 37 Recap

Greetings,
Nice vacation, few good grind days.

Had a lot of fun in Malta, sightseeing Malta and near by islands. Played also some live cash and small live mtt in Malta. Played in Dragonara Casino, imho games where decent/okeyish ran very cold and being new to format (live cash) my confidence is not yet the greatest. To sum up, played 3 days Day one, 1/3€ -500€ Day two, 50€ rebuy (110€ total) won it vs 13 opponents for +350€ profit Day three, 1/3€ -300€. Flight was ~3h so managed to read 2 crusher blogs, one on my way to Malta and one on my way to Latvia.

Spoiler

Before trip to Malta had very fun new year session where I had an opponent 3B/calling ATC which resulted in me going all-in for value KJs A5s QTs etc etc.
After trip main goal was to get back into balanced life/grind rhythm, which I struggled a bit. Slowly but surely getting back to it.

For the following week, Monday/Thursday talking free, remaining days want to play 3 session on avg. Finish Uri course, good sleep and diet and gym daily.

Week 38 Recap

Greetings,
Meh week, meh results. Was not feeling it this week, bad sleep and waking up with headaches did not help the grind. Also struggled with discipline. Made more the usual amount of mistakes which added up to losing week. Happy with the studies as I finished Uri course and now planning which course to take next, also deciding if I should buy GTO+ and only reason why I'm holding back is my potato laptop that has only 8gb ram.

I tried to use GTO+ on an 8gb laptop and wouldn't recommend it. Took far too long to load even simple solutions.

I'm not really a computer guy but would recommend at min 12gb but ideally 16gb.

Thanks, been getting mixed reviews and for now will not buy it (should invest in new pc, but so hard to spend money on myself).

GTO+ is brill for the price imo, but yh RAM is king. Although it runs 10x better than my old 1.0 piosolver

Week 39 Recap

Greetings,
Trash week, meh results (but not that bad considering how bad I played). Had few sessions that I tilted. Made many very questionable plays. Overall very bad performance (volume decent tho). On the bright side happy with how much I studied and with my new gym routine, diet was decent as well. Sleep still needs work. Went to 2 live mtt, both busted.

For the following week, will take first 3 days free (Mon-Wen) to reset and get into right mindset. Then grind remaining of the week.

Week 40 Recap

Greetings,
Solid week, taking 3 days free was really beneficial for me, now I'm feeling ready to grind again. Week was shaky when I got back to grinding and was frustrating at time but overall happy with how it went. Big issue for last few days has been sleep, I have had hard time falling asleep and that really makes me not functional in mornings... Also after reviewing my hh in few spots I end up misreading preflop action or misreading board.

For following week back to standard grind (not planning any live mtt for now). Gym is going good and even got myself whey protein. Fixing sleep will be focus point as it is really costing me time and functionality (got myself some melatonin food supplement), might play 4 tables instead of 6 before sleep gets better. Also started reading MGOP 2, which imo will future improve my game at tables.

Nice to see you back in business! By the way, try melatonin tablets for better sleep. They work pretty well and are not bad for your health.
