President Donald Trump

President Donald Trump

I assume it's still acceptable to have a Trump thread in a Politics forum?

So this is an obvious lie - basically aimed at

Not-sure-if serious, dumb**** trolling is never going to be the path to getting my vote, but I guess that doesn't matter.

That's one of the most ridiculous takes I've ever seen.If Trump doesn't like a city, it's probably not because of the color of the mayor. It just so happens that the most awful big cities often have mayors that are POC.There are a gazillion legit ways to criticize Trump. You don't need to play the race card this time. (Although for some Lefties that's their favorite tool in

Trump is racist in the same way that a lot of old people of his generation are. It is easier for him to accept that an old white guy is competent than it is for him to accept that a non-white person is competent. But it is certainly true that minorities can overcome Trump's priors on race by worshiping him and publicly flattering him. Trump's narcissism is far more primal than his views on race.

I don't think people like you are the median democratic party primary voters.

fwiw newsom chances to be the 2028 candidate increased a lot in lockstep with the trolling in prediction markets

So, race should be factor in who is allowed to immigrate?

Are you new here? I’m a first generation American, dual citizen, and daughter of an immigrant, and it’s clear as day when Luciom is ranting, he’s not ranting about me or my mom. I’ll give you three guesses as to why. Lol.

by Rococo

Did you also enjoy his writing on VDARE over the last two decades?

I've read very little of his stuff for the past fifteen years.

I recall the VDARE stuff was pro-Confederacy.

After The McLaughlin Group went off the air, I didn't really pay much attention to him anymore.

Epstein when?

Can't think of a less Christian figure than Pat Robertson in the 80s, of course a raging hypocrite like you would love his shtick.

Who brought up Pat Robertson?

by Rococo

I understand that this tweet is parody from Newsom's press office, but emulating Trump is a road to nowhere.

It’s incredibly stupid and so are the liberals cheering it on. What is being accomplished by running a parallel troll campaign? It’s just more ****ing around when we are already far past that point.

Very well said.

I might be as dumb as a post, but I think even I can answer that one on my first guess. lol

I don't like Newsom at all, but I think this strategy might help him. Time will tell.

It’s dark woke, baby. We’re not listening to the leftoids anymore.

In the news today....

Yeah. Whenever I see people arguing that you just have to get there and then you will do the right thing, I'm reminded of this scene:

by geezerchess

I'm almost ready.

Still awaiting verification that Trump is the most corrupt president in history.

India Today, for what it's worth, awarded him the palm over Jackson, George W Bush, Reagan and Nixon, in that order. Indians do know a bit about corruption.

Other nations have of course had, and some still do have, far more corrupt leaders, since the US has to at least pay lip service to the rule of law -- except that US constitutional arrangements, as embodied in practice, do appear to place presidents largely above the law, making the president 'plus roi que le roi'. Which ought to be surprising in a revolutionary 'democratic' anti-monarchical republic, but somehow, given the known history of such institutions worldwide, isn't.

by Rococo

Yes. I think this is a relatively clear case by constitutional standards. Not logically inevitable like a simple geometry proof, but a relatively clear case, at least as to the ultimate conclusion.

So, four out of eleven judges of found the tiny crevice between the constitution in this case and a geometry axiom as a good reason to ignore the relatively clear case? As I said, "yea sure".

OK. You are the expert on this stuff.

Yep

This is your proof that you are correct? Amazing.

I like Newsom's trolling because in the end I know Newsom is trolling and Trump is still Trump.

Ummm.... wut?

hes just really mad he didnt get invited to the party

look at the boys having so much fun while Trump sits at home. Sad!

They should get a photo op of them golfing to really piss him off.

by AquaSwing

I like Newsom's trolling because in the end I know Newsom is trolling and Trump is still Trump.

And that's why he is doing it. Enough people like it.

This quote obviously wasn't describing internet trolling, but it nevertheless seems apt.

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

Whatever your original motivation, if you imitate abhorrent behavior often enough, you have a way of turning into the thing you are imitating.
