Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
I know that the Zionists planned for years to steal as much land as possible. it was called Plan Dalet.
Yes. They used village surveys from the 1930s to decide what to destroy, what to leave for later.
Arabs can and do live freely in Israel (proper) today. A narrative that really grinds your gears.
Exactly the opposite. It proves that if you made the Palestinians citizens and let them keep their land, they'd get along with Jews just fine.
Do provide a quote where ANYBODY in this thread has trouble acknowledging the Palestinian citizens of Israel or whatever "grinds your gears" means.

Yes, good book. one part that really got to me was that they sent Arabic speakers into the villages taking advantage of the locals' hospitality so that they could inventory all of the wealth and resources in these areas. these spies also compiled lists of men to be executed.
So by your own rationale, Hamas attempted genocide on October 07 (as in the attempted genocide you opined was cool) and have genocidal intentions via their desire for the destruction of Israel in their charter, glad we got that sorted. And Israel have attempted to minimise civilian deaths, so yet again, you're spectacularly wrong. As usual.
Well, first of all, it's not "my own rationale", it's a copy and paste from the dictionary. You're upset with the English language.
And no... because 10/7 wasn't "the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group" -- not systematic, for one thing; a one-off event, and the "group" of "people dancing at a party a thousand feet from an open-air prison" probably does not meet the definition of "racial, political, or cultural group" (one can quibble on this one).
10/7 was an atrocity borne from decades of overt murder and oppression from the powerful against the powerless. In that sense, it WAS justified, and it will remain so no matter how mad you get at me saying that. The Palestinians tried everything else, and they were still getting murdered en masse. Box a people into a corner for 70 years and they'll eventually come back swinging.
I'd like to think you don't ACTUALLY believe this.
But since you probably do, I'll just say LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
(speaking of words, you're looking for "minimize" with a z)
Nonsense. 750,000 were EXPELLED and not allowed back.
And at least 300,000 were expelled BEFORE May 15, 1948 -- before the Arab attack.
I dare you to read Ilan Pappe on 1948.
Remarkable that even after Trump and Netanyahu dropped the masks and openly called for ethnic cleansing of Gaza, we've still got people saying Israel just responds to Arab aggression -- and somehow ended up with all the land.
Jews in the MENA lost as much land/property as Palestinians. And no one in the Arab work is offering anything back, or ever will. Given this, 80 years later seems the best thing is just to call it a wash and move on.
A quick Google search gave me an estimate that Jews had up to $150 billion stolen, which has to be several magnitudes larger than what Palestinians lost. But I am guessing Israel will be magnanimous and just call it a wash, and not demand reparations on top.
Lmao. I’ll rest my case.
“Most Jews left at the behest of Israel”
“Disinfo”
“Have you heard of alliyah?”
Not sure how I’m even supposed to respond to this.
Mostly is a vague term that would imply 51+% but if the real number is 30% is that disinfo? I guess we can argue syntax if you want, but seems pretty pointless
I'm not saying Jewish people weren't persecuted and discriminated against, but it would be difficult to quantify the exact amounts of people who moved for what reason
You guys just want to argue unresolvable differences to dust

We have at least 60 years of recorded history proving this isn't true
You don't even have to go back 6 months to prove this isn't true
Guys, the Israeli declaration of independence clearly states that any Muslim was welcome to come live in Israel as equals. These are the facts.
It doesn't say that. On the contrary it says the new state is only open to Jewish immigration. Israel for obvious reasons does not recognise the right of return for Arabs.
https://avalon.law.yale.edu/20th_century...
Nor is the claim of equality for all citizens binding, since the Supreme Court has ruled that the declaration has no force in law.
Not in the ever-increasing area taken up by Israeli settlements, no.
Are they being destroyed?
Well, they do tend to have their lives destroyed when the settlers, with the connivance of the IDF, seize their property.
Surely you know the Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank are not Israeli citizens.
I somehow doubt that Isreal subjugating palestinians is what the palestinians want, though it would probably be more affective to campaign for that (assuming thats what they want) instead of bombing Israel

But do you acknowledge that Hamas are genocidal?

They tried to murder as many Jews as possible, that's precisely what it was. But your justification for one and hand wringing for another is duly noted.
10/7 was an atrocity borne from decades of overt murder and oppression from the powerful against the powerless.
No it wasn't, re the bolded. I
n that sense, it WAS justified, and it will remain so no matter how mad you get at me saying that.
No. It really ****ing wasn't.

Utter bullshit revisionism by you here.
I'd like to think you don't ACTUALLY believe this.
But since you probably do, I'll just say LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
I don't believe one word of your bullshit anyway.
(speaking of words, you're looking for "minimize" with a z)
No, that's the American way of spelling it and I tend to use proper spelling and I'm not interested in your spelling nazism either.
I don’t know if this was part of some grand plan, and at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter.
But Trump throwing out his hare brained Gaza plan seems to have galvanized countries such as Egypt and Jordan to become much more proactive.
At this point the main stumbling block towards rebuilding and reforming Gaza is Hamas. If they can be removed somehow there is real hope for the first time since their violent takeover.

When 100% of his posts are knowingly “bending” the truth (being very generous here) I’d say it solidly becomes disinformation. These also aren’t unresolvable differences. Saying that most of the 1million jews that fled Arab states following the creation of Israel did so at Israel’s behest is just straight up misinformation.
In some ways you have to feel sorry for guys like this. Blatant anti Israel/antisemetic speech and behavior is so normalized in Muslim and leftist communities, that I think people just forget that such behavior is shunned in polite society.
It's obvious not normalized, that's why he got fired. The pro-Israel doctors that say stuff like this far outnumber people like this guy, weren't baited into it, and almost never get in trouble.
