Definitely way worse than Hamas.

by Brian James

So, I came across this movie about a group of surfers in Gaza, who are probably all dead by now. But it shows a different side of life in Gaza before the genocide and a small example of the humanity of the people who live(d) there. They were trapped in an open air prison with no future but found joy in the simple art of surfing.

Unfortunate that Hamas kicked off a conflict that probably got them killed. A terrible consequence of living under a genocidal terrorist regime which doesn’t care for it’s civilian population.

Yes I agree, living under Israeli occupation does eventually lead to fatal consequences.

Cool. So we agree that Hamas’ actions were responsible for any harm that came to these surfers.

It’s safe to assume that if Oct 7th didn’t happen, these bros would still be catching waves.

many proposed solutions are permanent (including 2 states with Jerusalem under the UN, an old one)

I almost never agree with victor and I'm surprised he hasn't used the term himself as one of his patented Nazi comparisons, but your choice of terminology is pretty poor.

Man which words would you want me to use to define a solution that will have effects that won't change anymore no matter how american politics move in the next decades, if not permanent?

Ultimate solution.

A solution to end all other solutions.

Contrary to popular Zionist propaganda, history does not start on Oct 7th. What I did see was a country built on a massive lie that was used to murder and displace hundreds of thousands of people, disgustingly create and push a false narrative of 40 beheaded babies and then use that as justification to murder and displace hundreds of thousands more. That’s all the info I

Except this is a massive oversimplication dotted with lies. You seem totally fine with how India and Pakistan were split between the religions after British rule. But here suddenly for you, it's just mass murder and theft.

If you take all the hundreds of thousands of Jews that lived in North Africa and Asia (and were flushed out of their communities), and you came up with a per capita sized piece of land for their self determined state, it would be much bigger than Israel. And in fact they were even willing to accept far smaller than Israel. And obviously the concept of a Jewish state is fine, if a Palestinian one is fine. Let's not argue THAT either.

So your dot the size of Vancouver Island in a sea of Muslim countries millions of sq km wide, so that each religion could self determine itself, and the problem you see is the Vancouver island sized dot. That's a take!

Meanwhile the fact that country after country is Islamized (at the expense of all diversity in time), is totally normal to you. Also a take.

Good day to you sir

How many anecdotal accounts to add up to genocide?

one of the sickest stories in a year plus of sick stories.

this is yet another example of situation that Palestinians described from the start that everyone said was fake and now the Israelis are admitting it themselves.

another interesting thing about this article, and the one I linked earlier from a Hebrew outlet describing the same incident, were that they were allowed by the military censor.

now Israelis are doing Pallywood? I think you missed the boat on the proper response. twitter pro-Israel people are just saying that its fine and good.

No. We don't agree.

Israel's oppression of the Palestinians in Gaza that led to the Oct 7 attack is ultimately responsible. You can't suppress people and not expect them to fight back at some stage. If you watch the movie, they talk about being in an open air prison that they can't escape from. Oct 7 was a natural progression from that intolerable situation.

Yeah dude for sure.

The concept for any state is fine. So long as that state is not an ethnocracy that systematically persecutes members outside of their “chosen” race while treating international law with impunity and pretending to be a democracy.

Then I have a problem with your state and it has nothing to do with what god you pray to because I couldn’t possibly care less what fictional book you pretend promised you something 3000 years ago. You can believe that your god is a beaver and only eat ice cream on Tuesday for all I care, just don’t treat others like they are subhuman and that their lives are worth less than yours, okay?

Care to explain why people of Islamic (or any other) faith seeking a better life in areas outside of their home country is anything but normal?

The only problem is that you just descried something like 90% of the nations in the world. And as far "persecuting" minorities goes, Israel is pretty mild. And you have no outrage about any of the other 100+ nations that "persecute minorities", so clearly this is either bad faith characterization of the issue on your part, or you have a very poor model of the world.

Translation:

I do not care that more than half the staff at this publication are Israelis. Their sources clearly do not matter as their journalism goes against my narrative. The only plausible explanation is that they too are active members of Hamas!

In case you missed it this is called the Israel/Palestine thread so you can point me to the India Pakistan thread or stfu

Perhaps you could start a new thread called all the other countries that are being called out by every humanitarian organization in the world

See you there

Nah. I have seen enough.

I am going to just check you down as a bad faith actor.

What lead to Israel putting more restrictions on "Palestinians"? I doubt they did it just to be mean. I wonder if rockets, Jihad and intifadas had anything to do with it. Maybe chants of "From the river to the sea".

At some point you have to take responsibility for the situation you are in. Living as a victim for 80 years is not a coincidence.

That's one opinion, one idea.

I don’t think you’d like what a truly “natural progression” would look like. Then again, you are knowingly or unknowingly advocating for the Palestinians to remain in hopeless poverty so maybe you would like to see them get wiped out by the radicalized Israeli right.

No. I'd rather they weren't persecuted up to the point where they believe they have no choice but to fight back, however badly that turns out.

They have already been all but wiped out by the Israeli right, so I don't see how it could get much worse.

The Palestinian Resistance is completely subsidized by Western nations, where the US is the biggest donor. By your tenor I assume you think US funding of Gaza and the West Bank should continue (and increase, including direct military aid?) and Israel should be cut off.
