These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. 2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.

No, it's not even close to being arguable. There would be endless lawsuits flying around right now if it was even close to being close, but it's not.
In the US the test is based on Brandenburg v Ohio 1969, which means you have to be inciting 'imminent lawless action' to forgo the protection of the First Amendment. General statements, however obnoxious, won't do it.

It kinda just registered with me that Homeland Security arrested someone with a green card even though he has not been charged with a crime. I heard it like 2 days ago but now it's setting in. Green card holders have rights, the same rights any citizen with respect to detainment and freedom of expression.
If they can arrest someone with a green card for criticizing a mass casualty assault on a civilian population then they can arrest anyone arbitrarily. How am I wrong?

The govt was supposed to present their case to the judge today and there is a hearing scheduled for Wednesday. I feel if they had presented their case we would have heard about it by now. So not sure what is going on. I guess we will find out at the hearing tomorrow what the charges are.

Trump admin has been making it policy to violate the Constitution and see what they can get away with. The only question is how long until they tell the Judiciary to **** off.
This hypothetical is going to fail most likely but I feel compelled to put it out there. Say you're a Zionist. Say further you accept the concomitant racism that goes along with the removal of millions of people from a place they've been, as a people, for some long amount of time (whatever amount) on a racil/ethnic basis. Now you're in bed with Trump and co.. They want what you want, they say. They are cooperating with you and you with them and everything seems to be working out. BUT you know, deep down, that people like Musk and Bannon are deeply antisemitic, right? You know that if they had their druthers, if they could do whatever fantasy scenario they can imagine with impunity, that the first thing they would do bomb is Brooklyn and nuke Israel. You know that, deep down, right?

I've posted about this a ton. People like mets were cool with John Hagee at the March for Israel. I just posted about Calin Georgescu in Romania who supports Israel, but whose heroes were the people responsible for the Romanian Holocaust.
The antisemites don't have nearly the problem with Jews over there in Israel where they belong in the same way people like the white nationalist Senator Thomas Bilbo tried to send black people to Africa in the late 1930s.
Whether they are apocalyptic Christians who think that Jewish control of the holy land is essential for the 2nd coming or antisemites who think that Jews don't belong in white Christian nations, these *******s have been welcomed by a lot of foolish Jewish people.
