If you read the article it is pretty vague and acknowledges glaring shortcomings in the study, contrasting the tone of the headline. Nonetheless, Israel and US probably need to address the constant issues surrounding aid distribution.

Also Israel is nuclear armed…no Arab countries are launching air attacks into Tel Aviv….Israel does not need US aid to survive.

Well Iran and its Allies in Lebanon have proven to be very weak. They are getting crushed by the IDF not only in the holy land but also in Iran.
The leadership of Hezbollah and the Irgc have largely been clipped by the mossad and IDF operatives. That also leads reasonable people to believe that if Israel is capable of launching those types of operations, they are capable of avoiding as many civilian deaths as we have seen in Gaza. But unfortunately the religious supremacists in Israel are prevailing ie the ones who want to depopulate Gaza of Palestinians on favor of more settlements.
And the “Arab countries” are providing zero military assistance to the people of Gaza. In fact Saudi Arabia has provided Israel intelligence on Iran. And of course you have the controversy of Israel ignoring(maybe on purpose) Egyptian intelligence on a possible October 7 attack before October 7 occurred.
Rudy Rochman a IDF soldier and podcaster along with other Israelis say they do not need or want US military assistance. They want to be freed from that. They also want a world where Palestinians and rallies could live together peacefully. He believes Israel is responsible for the well being of Palestinians.. ..frankly they are because Israel controls the water, power, and supplies into the Palestinian territories.
