Edit: RULES FOR THIS THREAD
Posting guidelines for Politics and Soci...
These are our baselines. We're not reinventing the wheel here. If you aren't sure if something is acceptable to post, its better to ask first. If you think someone is posting something that violates the above guidelines, please report it or PM me rather than responding in kind.
To reiterate some of the points:
1. No personal attacks. This is a broad instruction, but, in general, we want to focus on attacking an argument rather than the poster making it. It is fine to say a post is antisemitic; it is not okay to call someone an antisemite over and over. If you believe someone is making antisemitic posts, report them or PM me. The same goes for calling people "baby killers" and "genocide lovers". You are allowed to argue that an action supports genocide or that the consequences of certain policies results in the death of children, but we are no longer going to be speaking to one another's intentions. It is not productive to the conversation and doesn't further any debate.
2. Racist posts and other bigoted statements that target a particular group or individuals of such groups with derogatory comments are not allowed. This should not need further explanation.
3. Graphic Images need to be in spoilers with a trigger warning.
4. Wishing Harm on other posters will result in an immediate timeout.
5. Genocidal statements such as "Kill 'em all" etc, are no longer permissible in the thread.
If anyone has any questions about the above, please PM me. I don't want a discussion about the rules to derail the content of this thread. If anything needs clarifying, I will do that in this thread.
Please be aware this thread is strictly moderated
oh man they might've got another one
this time its the guy who was in charge of iran's direct attack on israel a few months back
what a ****ing bad day to be a supporter of the destruction of israel and the execution, rape and/or forced deportation of its jewish inhabitants!
And also a great week for supporters of an apartheid state whose representatives mass rape Palestinian prisoners.
talking of rape, there was another account recently published directly from an oct 7 rape victim. i wont bother posting a link here as the source is jewish
Yeah, I agree, it's unlikely. Still, seems strange that nothing has come out about it yet. Israel hasn't claimed it as theirs, we haven't seen a destroyed building or anything.
It’s not strange at all if this was Mossad on the ground. I haven’t really seen many details about the attack but it doesn’t really benefit Israel much to openly claim the attack. The parties who the message is intended for don’t need any further clarification. Stay in Qatar, the tunnels or caves or be dealt with. Israel said they were going after the entirety of Hamas leadership so in a way they already did claim the attack.
Wasn’t Qatar starting to get tired of hosting Hamas leadership? Looks like getting kicked out of Qatar is now a death sentence for them.
Seems like the 3rd assassination might be fake news. still a terrible day for the Hamas groupies.
my money would defo be on israel, but could also be hamas on hamas action
you often see internal power struggles and squabbles when a regime is creaking and on its last legs, and plus i expect it would be relatively straightforward for a hamas bigwig rival of the guy to arrange an assassination on iranian soil given the master/puppet relationship iran has with hamas
some of you really need to wrap your heads around the fact that netanyahu and his ilk are an enemy of peace. he wants a big middle east war because he thinks usa#1 will come in and save his ass like usual, and doesn't think or care that israel will also be destroyed in the process. maybe because it's already imploding, currently over the right to rape and torture.

war is peace
Also the longer he stays in power the less chance there is of him facing jail time for corruption, and to stay in power he has to keep the extremists in his government happy ie most of it.
A 'moderate' who refused to recognise Israel, ever, and praised Bin Laden as a 'holy warrior' and jubilantly celebrated the crimes of Oct 7... I don't think so. The Israelis are entitled to kill Hamas leaders if they want, given the provocation offered. Killing him in Tehran also sent a message to the mullahs, who sponsor Hezbollah as well as Hamas, that they are not out of reach.
It might be better if Israel spent more time killing Hamas leaders and not so much time killing the general population of Gaza, but it looks as though Israel's rulers positively want to diminish the population of Gaza, which isn't a lawful aim. Given that Netanyahu is subject to an ICC arrest warrant, just as Haniyeh was, this may complicate the usual support that the US offers Israel.
not recognising Israel is a death sentence. I wonder if liberals understand how insane they sound.
I wonder if any of the 10s of thousands of children killed "recognized Israel." I am thinking they did not so I guess its all good amirite.

so you think they're entitled to kill israels leaders if they want? Maybe concentrate on that more?
It's a fairly likely scenario. Netanyahu is working hard on making it so.

what do you think they have been trying to achieve all this time? Either way, it would be “better” than going after music festivals and soccer fields full of kids.
Not sure what you’re trying to say in your second post. I think you’ve confused what I was responding to. I agree with you that Bibi has not been ideal for Israel, especially politically. However, I don’t think he has any aims at winning over the Iranian’s hearts.
Lol.
I hope we get to hear more about this theory.
moderate leaders of terrorist organisations itt
he's the political leader of hamas, an organisation whose aim is for israel to be destroyed and its jewish inhabitants exterminated and/or forcibly deported, and which carried out the rapes and murders of about a thousand civilians on oct 7. this means he wasn't moderate enough for my liking
