I don't think I really celebrate the dems. There's a lot i don't like. They are just a far far better alternative than the fascists.
I'm not being an apologist here. It will sound like it i guess. But I'm speculating they just did a lot of polling and such and came to the conclusion that he wouldn't be a competitive candidate. I really don't know.
That being said I would love to see a bernie/aoc ticket. (Or aoc/bernie).

I agree. Comparing Bernie and Hillary using a room full of OG libs doesnt carry over to the rest of the country - many who literally vote based on race and sex and others who arent interested in an establishment hawk. But it was clear that many in the DNC simply didn't want him.

The so-called 'superdelegates' (i.e. a tonnage of delegates that were not earned based on primary results) essentially guaranteed Hillary getting the nomination.
I think it was former DNC chair Donna Brazile (sic?) who later admitted that the system was purposely stacked against any Hillary challenger.
So the Democrats didn't let someone that wasn't a member of their party be their nominee. Seems pretty standard to me. The problem isn't that the nominating process is "rigged". The problem is laws giving the parties automatic access to the ballot.

Party you don't like convinces you that the alternative is fascism so you vote for them. Genius brainwashing. Meanwhile the Democrats:
- Used the power of the state to go after associates of Trump. After decades of no legal issues, suddenly many Trump associates got charges, many bizarrre (Martha Stewart style)
- Used the power of the state in NY to amend laws to be able to prosecute Trump, for joke charges where others got none (Steele Dossier was criminal for example, including for the law firm involved which hid the payments, far worse than a hush payment)
- Ran psyops on the entire nation denying legitimate election results, saying that their opponent colluded with Russia on fake (paid for) information
- Used the power of the state to pressure large private enterprises to restrict the free speech of individuals criticizing the administration's policies
- Encouraged and enable mass riots across the country, burning people's homes and businesses, intimidating people on the streets, etc

You are being an apologist. Dems ran the standard playbook of Emmanuel Goldsteining Trump, it worked very well on the susceptible (there so much 2 minutes hate around Trump among dems) such that the party, however horrible, is always better than Emmanuel Goldstein in the minds of the gullible, and the alternative is fascism.
Most of the US didn't buy it, despite endless smears and screaming, cries of Hitler, Racist, Fascist, Nuclear War (lol - Biden brought us closer than anyone with his weakness), Nazis, etc. It was a little too unhinged and obviously a lie (to people with a brain)
