It’s just clownish to come in as an outside auditor and make such a huge error off the bat. It’s political so people will defend doge no matter what but if you hired these guys to fix your company and they made a mistake like that in their first presentation of findings you’d be on the phone to their CEO talking about how they misrepresented their competency and how you’re very close to pulling the plug on the whole thing.

Presidents Trump and Musk are ready to inspect Fort Knox to "verify that the gold is still there" (and to disclose how much has been stolen from us when it's discovered it's not). This is an excellent argument for the complete dismantling of things like Twitter, and I'm all for it.

There is such a thing as too much access to information, and we're living it. Having a device in your pocket that can broadcast your every thought to the entire planet in the same moment you're thinking it is objectively a terrible thing for both the individual and society as a whole.

How many truly ******ed things have you thought to yourself, maybe even out loud, and a week later were thankful that it lived and died with you as the only witness.

You guys think I'm an idiot, but you're only getting the posts that I write and then actually follow through on. Imagine the stuff that didn't make it all the way to the Submit button! Some of my shittiest work here have been situations where I'm distracted, skim something, write a knee-jerk reaction, post, and then 15 minutes later think to myself, "Welp, no fixing that now."

You should stop listening to liberal based fake propaganda media who are programming into your head that Musk wants to take over the world. That's why when TV first came out in the 50's it was called "programming". They weren't lying.

I would argue for breaking more corporations up because they become too dominant in the market and powerful in society.

Most of them you've never even heard of. Think niche markets and people who have their come-up derailed because of a bad take that pisses off the base who would've spread them to the wider world.

You can read just about any book about some historical figure of great renown and find all manner of debauchery spelled out by those who investigated them for the history books. Or even those who lived lives of active degeneracy but had the details of it hidden from wider society. You don't even have to look back very far. Pablo Picasso was highly abusive to women. If Twitter existed at the time, would people today know his name?

I'm asking for a number. I know you don't know it exactly, but I wonder if you think it's like 100 people, a thousand people or a million people.

Like, I know people have gone absolutely insane about a handful of trans athletes and those people, fewer than a dozen, have affected the election and the direction of the entire government of the USA. And I guess people know this? I wonder if they also think like 100 or fewer people have been canceled and it's understandable that hundreds of millions of people are obsessed by that.
