Trump 2nd term prediction thread

Trump 2nd term prediction thread

So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.

Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.

A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

Highly unlikely to go anywhere, but still, the amount of Trump ass-kissing is rather vomit inducing.

note: It's been worded in a way that excludes Obama running for a third term.

Oh, geez, this is a huge surprise.

You don't think it'll go anywhere? They'll just keep throwing stuff against the wall until something sticks.

I'm going to run out of I told you sos.

The problem with your argument is your ilk would have been on the front line pushing to put them in internment camps. That "democrats did this bad thing 80 years ago" argument is bullshit coming from someone like you.

There is no chance that the constitution will be amended, but this is still the sort of thing that underscores how fundamentally dysfunctional our political system is.

You don't even have to pretend to gaf about anything serious in order to be elected to Congress.

This guy's Wikipedia article speaks for itself.

Don't need to amend the constitution. Just have the Supreme Court interpret it differently.

How? Is the SCOTUS going to rule that Trump isn't a person?

The ICE raids have snared a legitimate US Citizen who was detained despite producing military documentation, proving his citizenship and his record of military service for the country.

Of course the ICE agents failed to produce a warrant. Violating rights, detaining legitimate citizens...off to a great start Trump.

Freaking train wreck. Wonder if the detained VETERAN was "brown."

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-agen...

Lesson in life: When the police enter an establishment looking for illegals and they check everyone's credentials, everyone in the room has to provide ID. They're looking for illegals. If someone can't produce ID, they're getting detained until they can, and when they do, they're gonna verify it.

Did the veteran get arrested? Did they deport him? No. They asked him for his ID. What a huge "inconvenience" he must of suffered because of it ...

"omg a military veteran hadda produce his ID while he was being detained".

The way they become unretained is to show their ID, it's simple. That's how they know he's not an illegal. It's not rocket science, that mayor and all the TDS sufferers will use any tiny thing they can find to blow it out of proportion (anything to make "orange man" look bad).

Who were the ones rallying to put unvaccinated in internment camps? It wasn't the GOP

He served four terms prior to passage of the 22nd Amendment.

I don't remember anyone doing that.

I don't think this is going to come down to some legal wrangling. Trump has already given the green light to proud boys and oathkeepers and any other nazi, neonazi, or generally despicable human beings. He's demonstrated that they can do anything they want and they will be pardoned. I have no doubt these guys will show up on election day en masse to disrupt voting.

There will be violence. Lots of it. They have already proved it.

Nazi germany folks.

I showed you he lied about his properties not being 30k square feet but « only » 10ksquare feet .
That is fraud buddy….

Try it, see how it goes….

Fwiw 10k to 30k , trump exagerating his greatness about Everything for a range of 300% fit pretty much his character .

You posted an article which gave you the answer in it didn't you see that? The banks don't care, if they did they would of sent out an appraiser (at Trump's expense).

CFO Says Size Was Too Trivial To Be Concerned Considering Trump's $5 Billion to $6 Billion Net Worth

[ ] Did you measure the penthouse?
[ ] Are you accepting a corrupt NY prosecutor's word as "proof Trump lied"?
[ ] Did the CFO or other employees fill out and submit his PFS, or did Trump fill it out himself?
[X] All of the above

Again, you're not giving me anything to back up your claim that he's a danger to society, just these petty little things that happen in business every day.

Just a little fraud. nothing to see here.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this might be the nightmare you were afraid of. It's happening. I'm here to help you through this horrible time (you will be ok).

I expect Trump to precipate some sort of constitutional crisis during his second term. I doubt that he sees any value in Marbury v. Madison.

I don't know what the issue will be. I initially thought that it might be birthright citizenship, but that issue is going to get in front of the SCOTUS on a rocket ship. I doubt that Trump thinks it is a good idea to stick his finger in the eye of a generally friendly Supreme Court. For that reason, I guess that I expect Trump to test the rule of law by defying a ruling by a federal trial court on a more debatable question than birthright citizenship.

Historically, the brake on attempting this sort of thing has been a concern that the opposing party will respond in kind when power changes hand. But Trump and his people don't really care what happens after they are gone, which makes this the perfect administration to try this sort of thing.

it's been going on 3 years Land O Lols

Why does that matter when Trump said he'd end it on his first day in office?

It wouldn't surprise me. Probably something more to do with not being consecutive or something.

You should probably read the constitution. Or have someone else read it to you. You're just wrong. You do not have to id yourself in any state unless you have committed a crime. It is illegal to detain someone for not producing id on demand if no crime has been committed. Look up reasonable articulable suspicion.

Everyone there had their rights violated, including a US citizen who was a veteran and provided proof of both AND WAS STILL DETAINED. Stop lying and arguing from ignorance.

Doesn't matter anyway. Four years of cluster **** and there's no way in hell he would win another free and fair election. They are going to go at it differently, like closing polling places in swing states, violence and harassment. Any way they can.

The 22nd Amendment doesn't say anything about consecutive terms. It says:

No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice
