Trump 2nd term prediction thread

Trump 2nd term prediction thread

So, looks like Trump not only smashed the electoral college, but is looking on track to win the popular vote, which seems to be an unexpected turn of events, but a clear sign of the current temperature in the country and perhaps the wider world.

Would be interested to hear views on how his 2nd term will pan out from both sides of the aisle - major happenings, what he's going to get done, what he's not going to get done, the impact of his election on the current conflicts in Ukraine and Gaza, whether his popularity will remain the same, wane, or increase, etc.

A bit of an anemic OP, I know, just interested to hear people's thoughts now that the election uncertainty is over.

He makes a good point, basically the health question of our lifetime - why are we not addressing the route cause of diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, obesity, psychological disorders, and even cancer instead of focusing on tiny pills that mostly mask the symptoms?

Changing your diet is one of the easiest cures in the world. There are even people who cured themselves from cancer by eating a lion diet (meat, water and salt). The human body knows how to heal itself much better than any

What is this I don't even

Some people need to be talked down to. And I'm not a dem.

But sure, let's excuse them helping a rapist, convicted felon, fraudster insurrectionist president and appointing multiple rapists to the cabinet because I dealt them a dose of reality.

Always hard for people to take responsibility.
Some never will .

Are you putting Makary in a similar category as Kennedy?

Also please tell us again the name of the article that debunks the claim about doctor caused death. I decided I want to read it.

Yep. Absolutely. That's why the pharma companies hate these guys. Curing or preventing disease by improving diet is bad for profits.

Like you say the food pyramid that they pushed for years was the complete opposite of what people should be doing.

Carbs and sugar are what kills people not animal fats.

Some people need carbs to survive.

I'm probably walking around 6 miles per day on average. Carbs are what my body needs.

I think hyper progressive activism, of the type you support, turns people off Dems much more.

Lots of things that were considered hyper progressive/pure communism™ not all that long ago are now things conservatives and others just take for granted as regular old stuff 😀

In your case the carbs are being used as fuel. Most people consume excessive carbs and don't burn it off with exercise. That's the problem.

Unfortunately I don't think it's just the money, they would rather everyone's brain stays fogged up so we're more submissive to our rulers and don't rise up to our freedoms being taken away. One of the first things people notice on pure carnivore is their brains because crystal clear. It's indescribable, but it's real (which explains why it cures psychological disorders). The horrible food pyramid SAD diet is detrimental to two very important parts of our body: our guts and our brains, which do have an important connection between one another.

You don't need carbs for fuel, there are marathon runners who eat zero carbs.

These guys have likely had their minds warped lol. Most people will do just fine eating whole grains and only a few that may need to really cut them out. We're probably in better shape than any of them anyway 😀

I have no idea what the hell you are talking about. I don't know a single thing about Marty Makary. I was saying "jfc" because of "There are even people who cured themselves from cancer by eating a lion diet. The human body knows how to heal itself much better than any pill."

Just incredibly dangerous misinformation being spread yet again by the biggest doofuses on this entire forum.

That's not specific of carbs, that's the same for any caloric sources.

Calories in, calories out (CICO).

Whole grains are uncontroversially among the best carbs. Some problems arise with ultra-refined carbs in some literature (controversial)

Excess calories are what reduce life expectancy, coupled with intoxication by some chemicals which aren't toxic only at very low quantity (and the quantity can't be limited to every single product, it's about intake across the year from different products). Then there is a severe lack of micronutrients caused by eating ultraprocessed food that remove the micronutrients through processing and/or not eating enough fresh stuff.

Animal fats per se aren't killing anyone (correct), but carbs (sugar IS A CARB FFS) aren't either, not by themselves.

The pyramid is fake of course.

Keto diets seem to work pretty well for a lot of people. That's a low carb, high fat diet basically.

keto (or pseudo-keto, low sugars) diet works for a lot of people (almost exclusively men) because it gives satiety with lower caloric intake vs some carb heavy diets. It also makes it almost impossible for you to have a snack "out of time" because no-carb tasty snacks are hard to find. so if you comply you are actually complying with calory control.

That's a line which can be used to justify suggesting keto to people but the reason isn't linked to carbs being inherently problematic at all

by MrDavitWilliam k

While ignorance is a factor, don’t underestimate their stupidity.

Trump is a known quantity. No one who voted for him can plead ignorance.

Never underestimate the powers of propaganda, crowd psychology and willful ignorance. Truth isn't even on some people's radar, and they're often unable to see it unless it comes crashing down on them.

Excessive carbs are inherently problematic. Carbs not used for fuel turn into sugar/glucose which cause all sorts of health problems.

Animal fats are a much better source of fuel by the way.

I'm going to make a perfect pepperoni pizza later and then my skinny ass is going to sleep like a baby tonight. And hopefully RFK and trump don't take away my god given right to good pizza dough 😀

You can still poison yourself if you want to. I'm pretty sure they won't ban pizzas.

Can't imagine Trump banning McDonalds.

Where's all this animal fat/protein coming from?

Okay, now I think we should make our dieticians provide ht., wt, and a picture showing their fitness levels before allowing this conversation to continue. Luckbox is exempt though, because I don’t want anything to ruin my image of him being a Shaggy looking guy, with a goofy smile, hitchhiking through South America.

My image of him is cutting his way through a jungle with a machete while it pisses rain, but I grew up on 80s action flicks.

You're all a bit late to the party, I doxxed Luckbox ages ago.
