In theory, Draft is the second Racing word.

So then we need to decide: Was the unlimited to get us to skip Egg, or did our bad list word give him an opportunity to clue it, too? Wildlife does touch on egg.

More importantly, though, if it was Forest/Cuckoo/Wing, then I think something bird related is better than raw wildlife. Though I guess egg & bird is pretty closely related.

Read this, let me know if you have any concrete thoughts, and if not, then we'll go with the coin flip

I've no idea, always struggle to know if unlimited clues mean go down the list or skip the 1st backup lol

Yeah I think egg is a huge blocker for any bird related clue for Forest/Cuckoo/Wing so it's risky going for that imo

but we have NFI what a golf word is; he already clued it once and we didn't know; why clue it again?

he didn't do 2 clue and he uses unlimited instead of n-1 so unlimited should mean night is ours and then one golf word

why not just clue the last word with something less ambiguous since we are clearly lost on the golf clue?

this was our golf list

everything but disk has been guessed, but disk was an illegal clue if he meant it for golf and he was told it's illegal to clue golf for disk so if disk is our last word then that means he clued it illegally a 2nd time, so disk can't be ours because he wouldn't do that when he could have clued floppy or another legal clue for disk and it would be clear what to do here

our later lists only had night that is left

so we are left guessing night and then pulling a golf word out of thin air when he could have just clued us with another clue since we clearly don't know the word from golf

I guess disk? It's the only other one we talked about for golf that hasn't been revealed.

I dunno. This is not the clue I was hoping for.

I can't bold a word that would be illegal clue x2 so not bolding disk

he should have clued floppy - unlimited (really floppy - 1, but unlimited is his style so whatever) if he wanted us to guess disk/night

A golf disc is disk shaped so I don't think it's illegal. It's not the same as knight/night.

so golf -> disc golf -> disk shaped disc used for disc golf

I think it's illegal but it's the only thing possible to guess

if you go with that sort of multi-step logic then you can probably make any knight/night connection work as well...shining -> moon shines at night; vampire -> holy knight crusades and holy water kills vampires, etc.

golf itself isn't disk shaped so it never should have been used as a clue

if it was called saucer golf he never chooses to clue golf for disk; it's not because it's disk shaped; it's because of the homonym which is exactly the night/knight rule

but at this point night/disk are the only 2 words that make sense to guess

In any case, this cannot have been the optimal clue here.

I don't see in what world this would be an illegal clue. It's the same word and meaning, both guessers immediately mention it as a top candidate. The spymaster clearly is hitting a word with that clue. But then some pedantic nittery that makes Sklansky and Kessler look like LAGtards kicks in and we're avoiding guessing the obviously intended word. (props to Nich for knowing it actually is disc golf but again, this is way different than Knight/Night)

On the last turn like usual it felt anything I would do would be confusing. The only previously mentioned words were ours so was going for those with 0 new information provided, and we did succeed 😀
