Would UFO be a better clue for Disk, Fly and Plane?

I'm fine to bold Plane and Fly cause I don't think either of us is getting off those and I think your logic is solid here

I'm between

Disk - a discus does glide and has a parachutey element

Spider - a spider kinda hovers down slowly/could call it parachuting maybe

it seems like it would be hmm...

always the possibility spymaster didn't think of it but I think you have to try put yourself in their position when attempting to reverse engineer the logic
possible Neil didn't wanna revisit laser since UFO would hit it pretty hard - i would assume the team wouldn't guess it again after being clued off so hard, but also possible he saw the word Laser and was like "don't want any part of it". As a guesser if you clued me off something super hard like President - 0 then next turn went super strong like George - 2 I would disregard the 0 clue and guess Washington

not saying UFO hits laser anywhere as hard and it would be a great clue here I think for Disk/Fly/Plane, but perhaps a reason we didn't get it

with all that said, this idea also seems sound and does make me like Disk less

Im liking spider less now because why wouldn't you say "bird'" for fly, plane and spider.

I'm leaning towards block with disk 2nd if UFO wasn't considered.

chocks - 3 might be a good clue for plane, fly and block. They literally block a plane from flying.

Perhaps it's 50/50 with disk now or perhaps I'm on team disk.

UFO and chocks are not obvious clues. Bird and transport are.

Also what would you do if bread was the 3rd word. You have to link all 3 in a hail mary. What do you go for?

Parachuting supplies and food (bread) into another country might be the stretch?

I think I'm now leaning disk.

I don't know if I'd clue Bird for Fly/Plane/Spider - I would think Bird hits Bread pretty hard so idk...I'm not fully off Spider yet

I keep getting *this close* to bolding something and something always holds me up at the last minute

Bread and spider seem tough to clue but spider feels like we would get some kinda flying insect

starting to think about Bread and if there is any way to do that, the idea of sending it like supplies is a stretch but would there be any better way to link this

every other word I'm at least coming up with some other idea it coulda been, Bread I can't think of anything better and seems very difficult where this could be the clue

us not getting UFO like you mentioned or something like Glide(even though it is very close to parachute) is taking me off Disk

Glide is a great idea for those 3 words. It's definitely points against disk but also people do sometimes miss clues.

If you want to talk something out then go for it. If you want to pick something then go for it. If you wanf me to pick then let me know. But I'm done on leading discussions. I'm just going round in circles.

Disk also hits medical a little IMO(hearniated disk etc) and I think we have all of the medical words done so another point against it for me

thanks for putting up with my back and forthing. the last turn logic of codenames is probably the most fun part of the whole game for me - feels like a puzzle and sometimes you miss and sometimes you get it right but I enjoy the sleuthing

I gotta think about Block for a second now too idk, and maybe I'm overthinking on the Disk thing

Block - you mentioned chocks, to me that's the toughest clue we've mentioned to come up with so maybe this is super hard
Bread - this seems hard, I can't think of a good clue for snacks or service on an airline
Disk - maybe the obvious word and I'm overthinking, several factors against it but maybe Neil would think this is what we'd pick 3rd
Spider - I'm fully off this, I think we get clued mosquito or some flying insect
Sub - not seeing this, seems like Shuttle or some kinda vessel idea would be the clue

parachute can be sorta a synonym for glide so back on disk a little now
