Was at the game. And no, needed a Pens win to cash a parlay.
So many Pens fans…Lets Go Pens chants were loud and proud. Was a very entertaining game, but don’t blow a 2 goal third period lead. Only reason I took them is because I couldn’t understand how they were favored.

hmm so the coyotes scored a pp en goal 4 minutes into the 3rd period ... on the canucks broadcast sportsnet just teased it going to commercial by showing the penguins players looking suicidal, and the arizona crowd lmaoing ... gonna go ahead and guess that they scored on themselves during a delayed penalty
i have put out action on most of the games tonight, even parlayed them all for the lols
only one game got booked and it was housenuts taking the yotes vs me, every single other game i wanted won or is winning

No rant, watched it live though, was hilariously terrible. The team is not built well at all and is honestly just a one line team w Crosby/Guentzel/Whoever. Rumors are they’re going to move Guentzel and then you can expect them to be truly horrific.
Prayed that they didn’t resign Letang but they did, he’s pretty ****ing awful and has been for years. Wildly overrated, makes so many of the worst mistakes you could imagine despite his skating and offensive skill.
But yeah, they won’t be contenders for…who knows? At least Crosby and Malkin got 3 rings and are sure fire HOFers. Oh well, that’s life.
friedman was saying the penguins and canucks are once again talking, on a guentzel trade this time. looks like he's still playing well. guessing the penguins would ask for hoglander, but hopefully they counter with podkolzin or something. a bunch of draft picks, naturally. and maybe someone like garland or mikheyev to match salaries. idk...

Is guentzel actually good or just Crosby inflated stats?
yeah looks fairly crosby-inflated. they're a great partnership, but sid is def driving it. guentzel looks pretty mediocre with geno, or anyone else. hopefully the canucks don't overpay for him ... though if they do get him, he'll be playing with other good players, so it shoukl be ok. might be better if they target someone else though

if i learned anything from edmonton, is that you also need to be good to do well skating next to an elite player in order to have good production
whether or not crosby inflates it or not, guentzel is elite at putting in SOG volume
also, without looking, what age do you guys think pastrnak is?
Some careers probably just got ended today, notably Michael Mcleod, Cal Foote, and Carter Hart. London police have ordered 5 members of the Canadian Junior Team from 2018 to surrender on charges of sexual assault, and those three have all coincidentally taken leaves of absence from their teams. If they're in that, their NHL time is done.
yeah i think those guys will spend the rest of their careers in europe
perhaps hart can come back in a few years as a backup goalie signed midseason to replace an injured guy where the "hey we need a goalie and this is an emergency" provides enough cover for the signing
too bad he was a career .906 and a not a .92

What if they’re not convicted of anything? Also, if the charges are at all true, then good that they’re done.
McLeod was somewhat of a bright spot for the Devils this year, particularly on faceoffs. Foote certainly was not.
