2024 F1 Season.
Seeing as no one has started a new thread yet I thought I would.
Will Max win everything again?
Has Lewis made the right decision to switch?
When will Horner get sacked?
Is 24 races far too many?
Predictions for the season?
Mine is Perez will get replaced mid way through the season and Lando will actually finally win a race
I want to be a fly on the wall in the RB post race meeting
Max throwing tantrums like he did 6y ago. I thought he had outgrown that
Push him out the door... let him go to Mercedes, replace with Sainz.
:p
it was as if Lando wanted Oscar to feel as bad as he could do about the win. He ignored him after the race for at least a few minutes
Max really wasn't well behaved today. I do think it is right for the team to manage him a little harder for his long term good.
also I note it's been 2 races now that Merc has bee faster than Ferrari. New regulations and cars next season of course, but....will Lewis regret his decision?
I'm relieved to discover that Max feels the crash with Hamilton was Lewis' fault
Stella seems like a pussy for not going on the radio after a lap or 2 of Lando not giving up the spot and demanding he do it. I can guarantee Toto would've gone on the radio and put an end to any shenanigans.
hakkinen the only really top driver in recent times that wasnt prone to tantrums. seems to be part of the job description
lewis schu max seb prost senna alonso all prone to throwing a wobbly or driving into someone on purpose, and sometimes both at the same time
lando is a massive dummy lol. let him past with 10 laps to go and you probably get a chance to barge your way past him and win
There is no way Lando can pass Oscar without massive risk like the dive bomb Max tried on Lewis and the team would not have allowed that. The delta between equal cars on equal tires is not enough to overtake in Hungary. Lando lost the race because he again had a terrible start. Never led after the first lap for any of his pole positions.
Horner said they miscalculated the delta for passing. It was more like 1.5s/lap rather than the 1s they had predicted pre-race. This track is becoming another Monaco.
mclaren are now the bookies fave to win the constructors
perez better be shifting a whole heap of t shirts in mexico to compensate for this
it's always been a really boring circuit that is primarily based around pit stop deltas and paddock performances.
Now, more than ever, with the HUGE car foot print and massive aero packages they run around with, there is almost no chance to make on track passes.
Look at it this way, some races are merely cash grabs to help fund the season.
Verstappen overtaking technique:
lewis schu max seb prost senna alonso all prone to throwing a wobbly or driving into someone on purpose, and sometimes both at the same time
You forgot: and blaming the other driver.
All drivers are horribly biased when it comes to driving on the limit. If they do it, it is totally acceptable. When the other driver does it, it is a horrible infracion of the rules
Max complaining about Lewis moving under breaking was pretty rich coming from him.
Excellent qualification result for Checo. About time. Interesting position too, in front of the Mclarens.
Does this count as a pole for Leclerc or for Verstappen?
Should be fun tomorrow especially Norris can't afford a bad start if he wants to keep his WCC dream alive.
Anyone else happen to notice the moving/switching sponsorship logos on the McLarens?
I've never seen them before... I thought I was seeing things at first, but I confirmed that some of the logos are switching.
six people with a 10% or better chance to win tomorrow per bookies. lovely stuff. max and lando joint fave at 2/1

If you dont start on the pole, you don't have pole position. If there ever a situation where you're qualifying position was preserved, that position on the grid would be left empty.
My prediction of this race is a Checo DNF in lap 1
The guy is a master at taking the wrong risks and creating his own bad luck
fascinating start, lewis takes the lead and norris and max are squabbling over 7th and 8th. zero idea who is going to win this
looks like the absolute perfect setup for lewis, norris in 7th probably has enough pace to defend against max but not enough to get past sainz in 6th, who is lapping relatively slowly on his hard tyres
maybe max takes an early pitstop, puts on hard tyres and and puts in some rapid times in clean air
perfect luck for lewis so far, clean air all the way while max is still squabbling in the midfield
and just as lewis is about to get into the turbulent air from sainz, the ferrari pits
horseshoe mode
the classic "box box" to not have to do the awkward thing
