**** 2024 Season-Long NFL PEEHS! ****

Hello again, football fans!

It’s that time of year again! The premier, flagship contest of SE, Season-Long NFL PEEHS, is returning for its 12th season, the second under my stewardship. When Kris ran this contest, I always appreciated how much fun it was, and how it brought this diverse little community of football fans together. With his blessing, I’ll be running it again, for hopefully the best installment yet!

But I may need help. I work, and it’s a long season through the holidays, and I know I won’t be available for the Thanksgiving reveals. I’d like for last year’s go-to guest revealer Rawlz517 to be able to step in, if he’s available, or I’ll take any volunteers if he’s not. If schedules change, we’ll play it by ear.

I’ve never played PEEHS before, what is it?

PEEHS is basically a fun, free NFL football futures contest. You make an entry by giving answers to the 25 questions before the season starts, and I reveal the answers once a week as the season goes along. For every question, your answer will either be CORRECT, or INCORRECT.

If your answer is CORRECT, your score for that question will simply be the number of people who selected your same correct answer. If you’re the only person to select your correct answer, that’s an ACE! …and your score for that question is 1.

If your answer is INCORRECT, then your score for that question is the number of people who picked the SHEEP answer (most popular answer), plus the number of different correct answers submitted for that question. The SHEEP (most popular answer) can be either correct or incorrect; all that matters is the number of people who selected the SHEEP.

Therefore it’s most important to be CORRECT in all your answers, but also be among the fewest participants that select your correct answers.

Scores add up per question over the season. Lowest score wins.

Our reigning 2023 Champion is pwnsall!

How do I enter?

Anyone can enter by sending me a single-spaced, non-numbered PM with your answers. Please correctly spell first AND last names for player names, and just use mascots for team names.

Since we get questions on this every year...

Not spaced (don’t do this):

Falcons Chiefs Saints Nick Chubb…

Single-spaced (DO THIS ONE):

Falcons
Chiefs
Saints
Nick Chubb…

Double-spaced (don’t do this):

Falcons

Chiefs

Saints

Nick Chubb…

Another would-be 2-pointer is the great Justin Jefferson, who didn't score in London.

Our final would-be 2-pointer is the Panthers' rookie receiver Xavier Legette. He's had his moments in an up-and-down rookie year for the Panthers. ...But he's no Ja'Tavion Sanders!

The remaining incorrects went ace hunting.

Here are the scores after 10 questions!

Not much changed, except for some significant movement from our correct answers for this question.

Don't worry, I'm still safely in last!

That's all for this week!

I don't have my schedule for next week yet, but I'm fairly certain I'll get the next reveal up before Thursday Night Football.

Enjoy the games this weekend, then check back in, to see if your team is in the top 10 of Points For!

Also played by 5 players, our next incorrect is Jake Bates. The former XFL kicker parlayed a strong season into an NFL kicking gig with the Lions, where he's been perfect on field goals thus far. But he has no attempts yet from 50+ (or even 40+).

Good news boys, Bates nailed a 58 yarder this week.

Our next incorrect, played by 3 entrants, is a tough beat. Gabe Davis did score (TWICE!) vs the Bears in London, but the Jaguars lost comfortably.

Double digit points is pretty good for every question. Youd be crushing SHEEP

Is it possible for a team to win by 300? Asking for a friend.

my friend would also like to know

Maybe we should adjust to Team in the Top 25?

Maybe we should adjust to Team in the Top 25?

It won't help after this weekend if you picked the same team i did.

I went Full Homer this year, lol

I went Full Homer this year, lol

I have a few Dallas choices, including the next question. Ugh. Definitely not how I expected this team to go, especially after week 1.

I've got sweats the next two weeks.

T10 scoring team is currently 5 points in front of the 10th place team
T10 Rushing attempts is currently 10th

Nnamdi Madubuike had THREE ****ing sacks.

Last week.

Now he has 5.

Who's here? It's time for the Question 11 Reveal!

11. Name a team in the top 10 of Points For by the end of Week 11.

For this question, we had 28 correct answers, and 20 incorrect answers.

We'll start by reviewing the incorrects first.

The most popular incorrect answer, though NOT the SHEEP, was played by 5 players. Things haven't gone well for the Dallas Cowboys, as they're 25th in the NFL for Points For.

Our next most popular incorrects are a pair of answers played by 4 contestants. The Miami Dolphins look much better now that Tua's back, but their offense was rudderless for the time he missed. They're 28th in Points For.

Also played by 4 entrants, our next incorrect is the Kansas City Chiefs. They're 9-1, and Mahomes still makes plays when it counts, but they've largely been winning with defense. The Chiefs are 14th in Points For, just missing for this question.

Here are the 4 correct answers that weren't played by the field!

Washington Commanders, 4th in Points For
New Orleans Saints, 7th
Green Bay Packers, T-10th
San Francisco 49ers, T-10th

Wow no one played the Niners !!

This question's co-SHEEP answer was a pair of corrects played by 6 contestants. The Detroit Lions are your number 1 team in scoring, even in 1 fewer game than some others! Led by blowouts against sorry mark and sorry Needle, they have scored 336 points so far this season.
