Yeah while the Chargers win was impressive I'm not reading too much into it. Chiefs were a barely above average team last year that luckboxed a bunch of close wins.

The only reasonable theories I've seen are that they really expect him to have a huge year, and that Ragnow retiring early changed how they planned to do extensions.
I would be extremely curious to see what the detrimental conduct clause looks like in his contract, the range of stupid things he could do is virtually infinite and the Lions have to build in a way to get out if they need to.
