2026 MLB Season Thread
Welcome back to the greatest, most fun baseball community in the world!
Last year was amazing entertainment. This year pr
I walked past Giancarlo Stanton about fifteen years ago. He is another guy that looks in real life like he wears a size 56 coat.
I imagine Satchel Paige also had quite the presence.
i have a photo that if i can find i'll share where we're hanging out together at an MLB in China event
i'm 6'2"
i'd be surprised to learn he's actually 5'11" felt more like 5'9"ish - he's significantly shorter than me - i even mentioned "wow i always assumed you were going to way bigger" and his response was that was the thing he heard the most whenever he met people
i also think the 275 was at the end of the career where he really let himself go earlier on he was more of a traditional barrel shaped strong guy

But hanging out at a baseball game in China sounds nice.
i might buy a tigers hat
Spoiler
probably will
Spoiler
yep, why not
of course hats have ridiculous inflation in the last 10 years. and most of my trust fun is for funding my fast food excursions.
they figure "like what? are people NOT going to buy hats???"
such a racket
I also want to rock a detroit tigers hat because Eminem wore one in murdergram music video. and because Tuma is the best MLB poster on 2p2.
The Phillies remain a disaster...
Cliffs: Harper still ticked off.
Not MLB, but an interesting rule. Boston College is leading Seton Hall 3-2 in the 5th with a runner on 1st. Justin Ford of Seton Hall hits a 2 run homer to take the lead, but injures himself celebrating between 1st and 2nd base.
Since he can't round the bases and touch home, his run doesn't count so the game is only tied. It's not explained in the video, but apparently, the rule is a player from his own team can not assist him around the bases. But a player from the opposing team can assist him if they so choose.
Assist in this case would be picking him up and carrying him which I don't think he would want with his foot dangling. Something you rarely see and a rule I didn't know existed.
Gnarly Injury Warning
Spoiler
How brittle must a young man's bones be to just collapse like that?
What's the time limit for rounding the bases? I can't imagine not having the adrenaline/will power to just crawl or hop on the other leg.
don't possibly see why you'd carry a guy around the bases when he should clearly get put on a stretcher and taken to the hospital asap
Its crazy because I see parkour videos everyday and I'm shocked the guys aren't breaking their bodies constantly and then a young man's leg just snaps like that? Human bodies withstand all sports of punishment in sports without breaking like that. Ski jumpers. Kickboxers. Ice skaters. Etc. Perhaps he has an undiagnosed bone condition?

Maybe, but sometimes unexplained injuries just happen. Ask Sam Bowie.

Can't figure out how to post a short. But this guy's ankles are indestructible it seems.

Brother’s wife, or wife’s sister, seems like a crucial detail.
Term should just be wife/husband in-law when it is someone married to a sibling.
I don't really care about people's (extra)marital affairs. Not sure why others care since it really isn't anyone's business and has no impact on anyone's lives outside of the people involved and their families. The nepotism or improprieties when actually doing business is the way bigger crime.
