Winter LC Thread: Get More HOT Chicks
Maybe warm chicks will suffice, even lukewarm. Hell, even those with a slight chill.

Thanks, Red. I saw it was restricted, but busy with something else (and too lazy) to fix.
John Cole, your clock movie reminded me of this excellent TMBG song: (added bonus: it lasts less than 3 minutes)
hey John (or any other teacher), have you attempted to use ChatGPT or another AI program to help grade papers yet? I'm thinkin g of doing it for my Freshman comp classes. Have it annotate all the problems with grammar/syntax/etc. that takes up so much of my times.

I'm not sure how I could do that, but I suppose there's a way.
I did find

AI and 'papers' seems diametrically opposed.
hell, if the lil effers are gonna use AI to write their papers, I'm gonna use AI to grade them.

I meant to say that if students use AI (certain to make my job easier), than I can use AI to write my syllabus (which does a pretty good job).
But I do try to give students assignments that can't be plagiarized.
Next semester starts next week. I need to work four days a week this semester instead of my usual three, but I get to teach two film courses this semester instead of my usual one.
My friend just helped me set up Blackboard correctly, so I'm all set to go.
Teaching for almost 35 years, and I still look forward to being in the classroom.

Last week I mentioned a fender bender. Now my car is in the shop and I'm in a rental. New cars just suck. Every rental I have had in the last few years sucks. I am in a Ford Edge. It has a little hand dial for the transmission? Ridiculous! Last year I was in a Chevy Traverse. It was a beast and I hated everything about it. Before that my last rental was a VW Jetta. That was sorta okay. But all these new cars are just stupid to me. Too much electronic nonsence. I like the simplicity of older cars with no surpises and all pretty similar to operate.
I guess I am just showing my old maness 😀 But every rental I have had over the past few years just convinves me when I buy a new car what to avoid and so far that is everything I have seen.
^ hear hear
Mrbaseball,
I had a few rentals after I totaled my car three years ago (had a seizure while driving on 95 in New Hampshire). All were SUVs, and I hated them. They were noisy and rattled everywhere I drove.
Friends kept telling me to buy an SUV, but I'm a sedan guy. Because of the seizures, I bought a sedan with every possible safety feature. It's loaded with gizmos, but I got used to them in a couple days. And it doesn't rattle.
I've driven tons of rentals and usually liked the sedans and didn't like the SUVs. But it is hard to figure out all the stuff in new cars you rent.
I even had to drive a rental minivan one time because there were seven of us. I felt completely emasculated. And not at all safe.

I don't watch much football, but this Bills game is an exception. Should be a good one.

I rented a BMW (got a deal) and it was kinda cool but many of the same issues. It seriously took me 2 days to figure out the climate control. Had some lame dial for the transmission.
My car is a 2017 so it had the good stuff: blue tooth, back up cam and not too much bad stuff. I'll probably keep it till the wheels fall off.

Since onside kicks suck and hardly ever work, had this idea. Needs polish, but something like this.
Kicking team announces they want to try. Must be behind, maybe also in the last 5 minutes or so.
They get a free kick from their own 40 (or so), off the tee. If the kicker knocks it through the uprights, their offense takes over at that spot. If not, the other team's offense takes over at that spot.
So a pretty big cost for missing, keeps it in desperation mode. Needs to be far back enough it converts something like 30-40%, and isn't in true FG range yet.
So much for being gracious.
