Uhg! It's been a rough and stressful week but now that it's Friday everything seems to be working out. I am sipping on gin based drinks to unwind 😀 Most of my life is fairly uneventful but this week **** was happening fast. I had to call 911 for my 97 year old mother. But she has been cured (as much as a 97 year old can be) and will be returning home from the hospital tomorrow in very good spirits. She had severe anemia which was causing all sorts of problems that will be corrected with medication (after a blood infusion). I also had a fender bender which was 110% my fault. Then there is the market tanking.

But it's all good! Insurance will take care of the fender bender, my Mother is in good spirits with new medication to hopefully keep her well for as long as that can be and for the market I have plenty of hedges on to avoid any financial disaster. So I am happily enjoying life after a **** week. No where but up from here 😀

Best wishes for mom baseball & a good market recovery. Glad the accident was a fender-bender and not worse.

Cheers Mr BB. I had a strange week too, including a call from my doctor out of the blue telling me to go to the nearest emergency room immediately. I got cleared there, and ran into somebody who paid me 500 that I had given up on long ago. Must be the stars.

Mmmmmmm, hops! I am aggressively avoiding carbs. At least mostly? I have been doing keto since just after Christmas. I will slowly and surely be introducing beer into my cheat days as time goes by as beer is my favorite alcohol infusion method. Going to LV in a couple of weeks and I can guarantee hops will be involved 😀

Had a nice and busy weekend in NYC. Arrived late afternoon on Friday and went to the Botanical Garden in the Bronx. Stayed in the Upper West Side, away from the madness on Times Square and retired to the hotel lounge for light dinner and drinks.

Saturday was Barney Greengrass for breakfast, wandering around for a little, Rockefeller center for a drink before play on Broadway, dinner, back to Rockefeller Center observation deck, and ended the evening in the lounge for drinks.

Yesterday, went to MOMA after breakfast and stayed until around four. Train to New Haven and drive home.

And I drank more in two days than I normally do in a month. It was fun.

What play did you see?
