Of course they are. They're in 3rd place in a 5 team division.

Check out their win percentage. They deserve a spot. Besides, they're the Red Sox.

This kid on the Reds may be the coolest athlete I've ever seen, Elly De La Cruz. And he's also crazy good too. Yeah this St. Louis Cardinal fan might be leaning Red the next few years. Also I've also liked and admired Terry Francona a lot; he's one of the best managers ever.

Besides, they're the Red Sox.

This we can agree on.

Day 1 with my new frying pans and I'm embarrassed I didn't upgrade sooner. It became VERY CLEAR my old crappy pan(s) did not retain and distribute heat very well. My eggs cooked super fast and even on medium heat. I went for scrambled for my first go and placed em on a lightly toasted bagel. My second meal was taco seasoned beef for burritos. Once again, the beef cooked super fast and nice and even. I would estimate my beef cooked 2-3 times faster. I think the old pan had a very small portion of it that would heat up, but the new pans retain heat across the entire surface and i didn't have to keep pushing the uncooked bits to the middle. It all cooked evenly at once lol Anyway, big day in my house. Super excited for cooking breakfast for my wife tomorrow.

Must've been an American Football game in London today. Saw someone in a Payton 34 shirt. Sweetness. Class is permanent, huh.

Incredible interview with Anita Pallenberg from a few years before she died. Between Anita, Uschi Obermaier (Google her, trust me), and Patti Hansen, Keith Richards certainly didn’t have a problem with strong women.

β€œOf course I met John Lennon, for me he was like an art student. I had a lot of respect for Jimmy Page, that was about it.”

Had to be one last sprinkler disaster before the snow fell.

Nice snap.

late to the party...is it still autumn?

Here’s the champ, if you missed it. Maybe 10-20K gallons this summer?

they should consider constructing an old growth adu tree lodge on immediately adjacent property to fund the irrigation repairs,
but only turn it on for a few minutes once an hour or so to build suspense therefore demand.

I have no idea how nobody questions the water bills on these things or looks at the usage bar graphs and historical data.

In a dry state, you’d think the water company would flag unusual activity and call the customer.

once upon a two hour thanksgiving wednesday drive
spouse and i arrive at her parents farm mutt in tow
get a cell phone call from the local water bureau out that day on their three month magellan route reading meters and our flow results triggered a system flag
they asked if turning off was approved and we said please do.
turns out was a cracked underground pvc pipe leaking in ways you wouldn't notice unless someone was stepping on soggy ground above.
next bill arrived at almost $1500,
called them up, told our leak story, and had it reduced to the average of the past three months

There’s the famous story about Chip Reese paying a huge water bill for months before the flooding finally reached a neighbor who called it in.

The best is Corky McQuorqudale not knowing the Vietnam war was going on. He was living in one of the casinos and he never went outside, turned on the TV, or bought a paper, and of course no TVs in the poker room then. I believe he was around 80 then, obviously no close family.

This has been the best fall weather I can ever remember? I keep dreading that any day soon the worm will turn and all of a sudden it will be winter. Really hope it holds for one more week as I am going up to the old alma matter next weekend for Homecoming and the 50 year reunion of the class of 1975. Really looking forward to it as I haven't been back there in about 10 years and there should be plenty of old friends showing up as well.

With any luck the weather will be good and the fall colors vibrant. In any event I am sure I will have a blast!

Colors are starting to change a little here but the past few years have been very dull. It's usually better up in Wisconsin so hoping for some vibrancy. Will definitely be bringing my camera gear but think it still may be a week or two too early?

how
or why would we
ever try predicting the places for exploratory adventures except to direct humanity toward natural environments

no matter the current smattering of hell
inherent within our human instinct is to nuture
a somewhat untamed and yet highly predictable biophilic response to the elements which helps define us as humans
aka show me the dinosaur that invented gortex

Hurricane like weather coming the next couple days here in RI. Pet sitting Wed-Sat this week. And Nov 10-15. And Thanksgiving weekend.

First two for my friend who will be leaving his car and his keys. I'm definitely taking it out for a spin if the weather is nice. It's an Aston Martin DBS Superleggera. Top speed 210mph.
