Going for a round of vaccines today. We old guys aren't taking any chances.

Anybody here remember Wrong Forum Man from over twenty some years ago.
So in the same spirit, wrong forum men.

I miss Wrong Forum Man, as well as Suburban Poker Man. Red is known for putting music videos everywhere, and its always the right forum. It says so on his poetic license.
SPM! Also High Desert Poker Man. I got to meet him & his wife irl a couple. I won the biggest pot of my life with him watching. Introduced him to Biggieβs Ready To Die at some point too.
The problem I find with spirits is I drink them at the same rate as I drink beer.
best i can tell by my oklahoma instrumental schooling calculator which suspicisouly is automatically calibrated toward favoring certain ones of us who act sooner than others
Among the sundry legion of reasons I had to finally quit to drinking was that after two beers it became impossible for me not to do a shot (or two) with each subsequent one.
βSpring she comes and Spring she teases, brings Summer winds and Summer breezes, that blow you through your hair til Autumn leaves us, when Autumn leaves us oh how weβre freezingβ
Farewell, Fall!

In less than 19 hours John will have to create a new Winter LC thread.
So enjoy some clips from a recent Zak Starkey interview:
Plus some pics of two of my old hs buddies recent hand-wrist lulz (NSFW)
Spoiler

Note Buddy #2 incurred zero medical costs and received two months paid time off.
1.5 years ago, work accident, severed an artery and nerves in my hand. 4 hour surgery and now I am only missing 75% of feeling in middle finger.
Buddy #1 finally had to have old biking injuries addressed.
My entire arm is a mess. I thought it was carpal tunnel and arthritis but really I have managed to mangle my wrist over the years I think mostly from mountain bike and road bike crashes. Usually the first thing to hit the ground is my right hand followed by right elbow. The doctor used the word mangled to describe my wrist.
Because of all the damage I developed a bone spur, which slowly severed the tendon in my index finger. My surgery attached the index finger tendon to the finger next to it, fused bones in my wrist, added a metal plate in my wrist and fixed a nerve constriction in my elbow.
I am getting the paperwork now. Looks like my disability insurance will cover 60% of my salary (for two months) and I had reached my deductible for the year so weβll see what Iβm required to pay.

The Snow Man
By Wallace Stevens
One must have a mind of winter
To regard the frost and the boughs
Of the pine-trees crusted with snow;
And have been cold a long time
To behold the junipers shagged with ice,
The spruces rough in the distant glitter
Of the January sun; and not to think
Of any misery in the sound of the wind,
In the sound of a few leaves,
Which is the sound of the land
Full of the same wind
That is blowing in the same bare place
For the listener, who listens in the snow,
And, nothing himself, beholds
Nothing that is not there and the nothing that is.
