Literally watering rocks at 1230am after .25” earlier and more on the way.

BTW I just learned that Ivanka Trump’s actual first name is:
A. Donna
B. Mary
C. Ivana
D. Imelda
E. Kamallary

Shockingly and technically, the Patriots are in first place. The Bills are second. While I don't expect this to continue for long, it's fun while it lasts.

Just finished packing for my short weekend trip up to Wisconsin for my 50th college reunion. I will be going up tomorrow morning and i can't wait! Gonna be great to see old friends and swap stories from back in the day. Last one I went to was the 40th ten years ago. I have kept pretty close to a couple of friends but excited to see those I haven't seen in years.

I haven't seen anyone from High School since High School and had no interest whatsoever in that 50th. But I have life long friends from college and that is the most important segment of my "coming of age". It's gonna be fun!

Have fun, mrbaseball.

I didn't go to the college reunion last month because most of the people I know from college are old high school friends anyway.

I enjoyed the last high school reunion. Nice to see a few old friends that I haven't seen in years.

Best moment was Doris Chin telling me I hadn't changed a bit. And I barely knew Doris, but I guess she knew me.

Well? Doris has a point! I have never met you other than the 20+ years on 2+2 and you haven't changed a bit 😀

You either. And that's a good thing!

Maybe we meet up next time in Chicago?

Yes, Oak Park. He lives part of the year in Lake Tahoe and teaches skiing, so I visit in the summer occasionally.

But I will definitely get in touch next time I'm there.

I'd say we could meet next time I am out east but that will probably never ever happen again as I am westword and only westword bound. I did time on the east coast (Newport and Norfolk) and have no desire to ever return 😀 Only eastward desire is a trip to Cooperstown.

Cooperstown is beautiful. My kids loved going there, and after the Hall of Fame, a must stop is the Farmers Museum if only to see the Cardiff Giant.

When I was in the Naval Reserve the station was in Oak Park so I know the area pretty well. I have trouble understanding why someone who lives part time in Lake Tahoe would ever choose to also live part time in Chicagoland? I would love to live in Lake Tahoe 24/7/365! But I am stuck in Chicagoland due to family considerations. Eventually Tahoe, Vegas or Arizona are where I will end up.

mr b, have a good trip up north. Get some Spotted Cow!

As John says, Cooperstown is nice. The baseball hall of fame is really well done, as you'd expect. The surrounding area is quite pleasant, kinda hilly and farmy. Nice scenery and drives if you're out beating around.

My 60th high school reunion is in a few weeks on the east coast. I have absolutely positively no desire to go to the east coast. But... I am still in daily/weekly contact with four kids I went through elementary school with, and they will give me a full report. I am especially interested in what all the hot chicks from the Class of '65 are up to.

Few today remember how Diane Keaton saved the Rolling Stones when Mick Jagger contracted laryngitis right before the start of the 1976 tour.

Mah jong?

I was born in 1965 so this makes me feel young. Thanks!

Well, that was weird.

After morning errands yesterday, fired up the laptop about 10:30. After looking at my stuff, I plugged it in and let the update that was coming download and install. Finally, about 2:30 PM, I was through the cycle of download/install/restart.

And the keyboard didn't work. WTF?

Turns out typing with the virtual keyboard sucks. Tried the common things like driver update, uninstalling that device and rebooting. Tried to back out the updates, which failed. Grrr.

Spent quite a lot of this morning copying things to google drive, and getting on dell.com to get a new machine. I guess I'm going to update to 11 more quickly than I wanted.

At the end of that foolishness, there was another update. Much smaller, this took ~30 minutes to get through.

And the keyboard is functional again. Sigh. Off to Dell to cancel the order.

Since I just had new HVAC installed, I'm glad to not have that unanticipated expense. It wasn't as if it was a huge amount of money, but would've been noticeable.

That's annoying, golddog!

if you do ANYTHING money related on your computer it is best to be off 10

save travels mrbb, and please share a portfolio of fall foliage photos if things turn out after you leave

I think I was a week or so too early to get the really good colors. But you can see they were starting to change and it'll probably be pretty good soon.

It was a great time though. We stayed at a nice resort on a lake. Friday night there was an alumni reception which was a blast. Then Saturday morning we got our Emeritus awards for the 50-year reunion. Then of course the tailgate and the football game. Then Saturday night about 20 of us got together and went to our favorite old fashioned Wisconsin Supper club. I took a pass on the brandy Old Fashions and stuck with my spotted cow. But it was a fantastic time for everyone. It was so good I think I'm probably going to go back again next year.

just as pleasing seeing tree leaves in transition phase instead of final state

wonderful shot appreciate the followup

"Left" in Latin is "sinister." "Right" is "dexter."

Only thing I learned from two years of high school Latin.

After spending my entire adult life purchasing crappy $30 frying pans every few years I picked up a set of All Clad nonstick frying pans. A set of 3 (12, 10 and 8 inch) cost me $210 CAD. I realize I could have gone stainless steel, saved a bunch etc but my wife wants to stick with nonstick so they're easier to clean and easier for her to cook with. I do a majority of the cookin
