Spring has sprung here. Sorta? Today was a beautiful 75 degree sunny day. I took off all of the covers from the deck furniture and spent some time lounging in the sunshine. But just 2 days ago it was 15 degrees with an inch of snow. I am not sure I can trust the weather yet 😀

Six more weeks of work left this semester. Even though I could retire, and some days I get a great notion, I have only 30 weeks, 90 days total a year to work.

I know Mrbaseball had plenty to do in retirement, but what about you other retirees? How do you fill your days? Years?

I'm really at a loss about what to do with an additional 30 weeks off.

next year will likely be the last year spent working at the current job

low 60s here but supposed to be a dry weekend for peak cherry blossoms along the waterfront. they're putting on a show for the march madness games being hosted just across the river where high point upset wisconsin. could probably find a bit of symbolysm in that if you looked a bit.

One of my best friends lives in High Point. Years ago I saw Robert Creely and James Dickey read on back to back nights. Dickey was drunk and fabulous. Creely seemed to pause for a few seconds between each word.

High Point is also home to a nice Pete Dye municipal course. And there's real Spring in NC.

I've been watching the Celtics more this season. The biggest difference between the pro and the college game is no sports betting commercials. There's even cutouts in the Celtics games for sports betting apps.

One game tonight but the main slate goes tomorrow. Hopefully my boys can keep me entertained longer the the last few seasons. Should be better but still in the midst of a major rebuild.

Last week set the over/under for our department chair speaking over a half hour without anyone saying a word. I took the over. She did 45 minutes.

When I was chair, we never went over an hour and fifteen minutes, and I maybe did ten minutes straight, if that.

Someone asked me via text to respond, but it's no use talking to a brick wall.

Four more weeks of classes, then four months off. I can't wait this year. Too many students disappearing. The ones left are pretty good.
