I get a call every couple months or so from a person at one of the big investment firms, where I have a decent amount of money stashed away. She wants me to know that she can help manage my money. For a small fee, I assume, though that wasn't specified in the VM.
No, I managed to accumulate and build these assets on my own, thank you. I imagine I'll be ok. I sometimes wonder how many months of non-returned messages it will be before she gives up.

I keep getting calls from my bank about having too much money in my checking account and do I want to invest. I tell them that I want to buy or pay for whatever I want whenever I want.
I know I'm stupid to have it all in a checking account. I don't care.

It's finally spring!!!!! This spring has been horrible weatherwise. Cold and rainy. But this week was absolutely perfect. High 70's/low 80's and just pure sunshine all week long. I spent at least some time every day this week sitting out on the deck soaking up the sun, reading and listening to music. I need to live somewhere where I can do this 365 days a year!
Fun fact "fennel" is short for Fentanyl, which also has a licorice flavor.
It never stops, truly unbelievable.
I even called these guys the next day, left a message on some AI thing, wasn’t fixed a day later.
Heat wave in Europe. 47 here in Rhode Island today.
Last week went with my daughter to the Boston Pops for the first time. Jacob Collier was entertaining.
Next week is St. Vincent with the Pops. Wouldn't mind seeing her too.

A good friend of mine passed away a few days ago. He fought cancer during his final days. He never complained, even during his toughest days. He was wise beyond his years and I went to him a lot for life advice. Movies brought us together, we met at SXSW Film Festival back in 2014? We kept running into each other at lineups and started talking, exchanged info and kept in touch over the years. I returned to Austin for Fantastic Fest for a few years and always enjoyed catching up with him. He even invited me to stay in his home for a couple of nights one year because I wanted to catch more of the city before the festival. The last thing we talked about was our mutual admiration for KPop Demon Hunters. I'll miss him a lot. He was a good guy.
