If you're going to stay at The Shoe, or any other strip-casino, you might want to request a room that's not adjacent to the strip.Unless you're really high up, the strip can be very noisy with traffic, even early in the morning. Heavy trucks, street racers, emergency services, etc. can be rather counterproductive for sleep, one of the keys to WSOP success...good luck with your
Good advice but I wonder how easy for them to oblige. I use an app on my iPhone to generate 'white noise' in an attempt to mask out annoying ambient noise. I think the app is called 'rain rain' or such.

Wait, what? I've never had to ask for it before. What are they doing? I've stayed there since the WSOP moved to the strip and there's always been a 'fridge. I want a 'fridge. I need a 'fridge'. I didn't know I needed to ask for one when I reserved a room. What are they trying to pull?

You thought CET was cheap? Eldorado is cheaper. The hotel they bought was full of refrigerators, so they didn't minde providing them. But refrigerators wear out and break. When they do, they aren't replaced. That's what allows them to claim the amenity of providing refrigerators in the rooms without having one in each room. The hotel came with a couple thousand of them and not every guest requests one.
That's my theory anyway.

haha same here, also goes for the next days and weeks when the other venues will publish theirs.
Only the Orleans and GN schedules are worth waiting for IMO (along with WSOP of course). That’s where the interesting variants are to be found - the ones whose dates you might want to plan your trip around. GN tend to be one of the earlier releases, whereas Orleans usually release their schedule pretty late.
Seniors events are also something one might want to specifically target, although they all generally happen over the course of a week or so, arranged around the WSOP seniors c. June 18.
Venetian, MGM, RW, Wynn etc issue schedules that are largely Holdem-fests, with some variation in buy-in and structure. But nothing you need to see before you book a flight.
