As played, with your turn bet think you need to jam river.
Tbh I don’t see much benefit in betting the turn at all, nothing but air folds imho, if you do maybe bet like 3.5?
Flop should be range check from him. so conveys no information. He should have some very strong hands and bluffs that check raise the turn. River he can be bluffing again but you beat no value hands. Fold is fine.

If the games are good I'd go for it. Obviously start in the 5/10 rather than the 10/20. If your day job pays fairly well you can certainly handle a downswing much better than most.
If the home games ARENT that good then it depends just how ambitious you are. I doubt your hourly at 1/3 can ever improve much from where it's at so if that's a goal of yours then moving up is a necessity.
Why not use the ICM option, doesn't harm, you could compare the results to the chipEV. There are bigger concerns than ICM though, especially early. So using cEV may be easier and better for learning purposes, I'd say.
Well you have to put all itm places and calculate stacks for other tables, usually takes some time doing this, but agree with you im planing to start comparing cEV with icm to see the difference in big fields, i dont really think there will be a huge diference in early stages of large field tournaments
Hi guys,
I'm sure some of you are aware of the recent cheating/bot activity that has been exposed on GG poker and ACR but may not be so well versed in what is happening on ignition/bovada.
The same bots at ACR and GG have completely over run the ignition games, which due to their anonymous nature means it is far more hidden.
Ignition security were made aware of the issues back in January by a host of players (including people like Jungleman i believe) but are acting completely indifferent to it. The issue has become so severe that a lot of regs there (including myself just this week) have realised the games are close to unbeatable and quit.
Some regs have requested me to ask if it would be possible for 2+2 to change the thread title to acknowledge the overwhelming cheating that is going on to protect other possible players. I have no problem if 2+2 does or doesn't but thought it worth asking. (this thread https://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/292/o...)
For context a lot of evidence of collusion and cheating has been posted in the unofficial thread since christmas. I was a 1k/2k reg there for 6-7 years with 7evbb/100 winrate and the games are clearly compromised to a level that I don't believe I can beat them anymore either.
Hand is kind of a disaster tbh. I think turn is probably a fold a bunch with no redraws? Probably player specific but I think turn rip is better than call, but you are just going to jam into the nuts so often it feels like spew.
Then there’s the bunch of times we rip into something with 40% equity and lose anyway.
Hand tilts me.
Your random flips are not part of the nle game and therefore not part of the bet. What’s the difference if he just went to roulette and put it all on black. Pros are correct
Yea i mean if you have the 6k already go for it. I would recommend Crush Live Poker subscription they are really good.
And seriously dont mess w the 1/3 300 game. The real splashy gamblers are usually at the higher limits and thats who you want to play with. In my experience 1/2 and 1/3 are way nittier and more passive in general and you be better off playing 3/3 straight away. Then just play 2/5 as soon as you feel comfortable and confident. You dont need to have 30 buyins. I would start shot t
Thanks. I plan to start 1/3 bc where I live- like tonight they have 9 1-3 tables, 1 $2/5 and 1 $5/10 game.
If I travel to more touristy places like vegas, Atlantic City, etc- I’ll try to play 2/5 or just lower if they have games bigger than 1/3. I do agree 1/3 can be nitty. I find games where people buy in super short very annoying (Like when people buy in for $100-150 at a 1/3 game.
I'll go half pot in the SB ott BvB with an overpair as when the four flush comes in.

you need to change your DNS server , VPN to join the chat (but don't play with VPN) is a quick fix
.....Btw great job to Frankie and turning stone! They do a great job. I liked how the room was kinda colder than the actual poker room. Cash games were good but I found the poker room to be fairly warm bc it was so packed. Great job all around though! Great stop
The tournament hall went back and forth; sometimes I wore a pullover, but a short-sleeved shirt was usually enough.
Managed to FT the main event, my only cash in the week there. Looking forward to another go next year.
Agree with above, bet bigger on the flop and on the turn. And call the river.

Squeeze pre to iso against the SB
AP, I'd just call down
It still usually makes sense to call with pocket pairs to set mine though. The multi-way charts I use are somewhat limited as they exclude the option to call in a lot of positions where players should theoretically be playing a 3-bet or fold strategy.
Still in just about every multi-way spot I have looked at the BB is calling with PPs when they're closing the action.
Here is BB response to UTG raise, UTG+1 call and LJ call.
Stand corrected good to know
A 3.5% edge is probably bigger than the ICM adjustment at this point. Not by much, I think in the early stages with ICM you need about a 2-2.5% equity premium to call off.
No one's suggesting you fold down to 2-4 BBs, just that you raise in later position. Later position = fewer sharks' 3 bets to deal with and fewer potential monsters behind you.
And you have 16-18BB, you're not even close to being in danger of folding your way out of the tournament.
Everybody that signs up for Clubgg is given a number like that. People too lazy to change it leave it. Unless they do something in the game and you make notes you won't know much about them. After 3 months on Clubgg some still haven't changed to a user name but the notes stay with them.
I'm playing for a long time,i am a statistical freak, but i find that graph absolutely imposible.Everybody is thinking that he cheated with teamviewer, but i think the problem is even deeper and maybe ggpoker found it imposible as well.
I am starting to believe that there's a need of a registry of banned players(I.E if you were caught cheating on a site, you are not allowed to play on other sites)
This is my home game. I'll pick up action on the turn 1-2 NL Big O
It's not insane to suggest betting bigger for value such as cbetting 25 or 30 instead of 15. It also makes it easier to narrow down their ranges on later streets, whether we have a monster or air and if you bet small when you have a good hand and big when you don't you'll get exploited by the players who will easily pick up on that.
1) You want to “narrow their range” aka “get fewer calls” when you flopped the nuts on a reasonably dry static board. Thats scared poker.
2) there are two ways of thinking about this.
The first option, from a GTO perspective, you can look at your range and nut advantage and see you have a range and nut advantage on this board. I dont have access to gto anymore, but im pretry sure that it bets its entire range at 1/3 pot. This unexploitable strategy allows for it to value bet hands as weak as 66, and Qx, and bluff with its entire range without being vulnerable to check raises
The second option is to look from an exploitative standpoint. You could exploitatively bet bigger here if you think V is going to call larger bets, but larger bets are targeting Kx and youre blocking Kx. Not that I think betting large is smart with any hand, but if i were to bet large it would be with 44, which unblocks villians strong hands.
So either way you look at it, this isnt a flop to bet large with your range viewed holistically and unexploitably, and it isnt hand you want to bet large viewedd on its own in a vacuum.
Thank you, that's super useful.
Also, just to tie this up with my original post, the solution to the game given in MoT is a calling frequency that is more complicated than 1 - alpha. It is: 2x(1-alpha)/[(2-alpha)*(alpha+1)]
I'm sure they go through the derivation themselves, but it should somehow be equal to the EV of the check.
So, if the EV of the bluff is > 0 and let us just say it is equal to x. EV of the bluff is equal to folding frequency*pot
you'd set EV of bluff = EV of check = folding freq*pot = x and just solve for that required frequency.
All in all, based on this action, exploitatively, i think it's far more optimal to raise the turn for two reasons. Villain's sizing narrows his range to what he has, a hand like a strong Ax (but not AQ) and draws. So, we want to get value from draws and try to move him off a hand that likely beats us. The second reason is that based on the flop betting and the fact we simply called him, the Q hits us more than it hits him, even though that's a very small part of our range.
That's hindsight thinking.
We don't know what the turn will be when V donks the flop. We have to make a decision then - fold, call, or raise. We can get value from worse 1P and draws, and possibly get V to fold better AX if we raise.
If we raise and V calls, he'll almost certainly check to us on the turn, when we can barrel or check back. We don't want to let V dictate the action and pot size with this small donk-bet line, which allows his range to realize equity cheaply when he's OOP.
If we decide to just call flop, then, yes, absolutely, we should raise this turn. Which is why I said in my first post in this thread - raise flop, but AP, raise turn, and AP, raise river.
We might say flat calling lost hero the minimum here, but hero might have taken the pot down with a 3x raise on the flop, which would have been the same amount he lost by calling V's three donks. I'd rather raise-fold flop for value than call off these three donk bets when we can't do better than a chop on the river.
We can let V take a cheap card on the flop, and then consider raising turn when he takes this sizing, but at that point, we are definitely bluffing, no matter what our blockers or unblockers are, and we're going to lose more when V gets sticky with AK, because he doesn't believe we have AQ, because he thinks we probably would have raised flop.
I make it 80
And probably fold to the jam but it's close
Hello,
That can be configured in Configuration -> Stat Appearance:
Hello, this is a known issue. Our developers should fix it in future updates.
As a temporary solution you can close H2N and delete this file: "C:\Program Files\Hand2Note4\Config\AliasConfig.h2ncg"
This will fix your issue, but unfortunately remove the Alias settings.
