UTG limps. Button (stack: $200) raises to $8. I 3-bet to $30 with AdKh. UTG cold-calls. Button calls. 3-ways.

RIVER: Qs9s3d 8s 8h (pot: $160, 3-ways).

I check. And now UTG goes all-in for his last $90. Button tank-folds. On to me, calling $90 to win $250, is this a decision?

RESULT: I folded and V didn’t show. An hour later V made a big bluff and *did* show it, so I get the sense I made the right fold.

I thought it was a weird spot. The only Value hands from Villain that made sense to me were full houses, and the only full houses that made sense to me were 98s, 99, and 88…but it was also really though to find bluffs! (Basically just stuff like AJ/AT/KJ/KT.) But to complicate it further, there were all the “bluffs” I was still losing to (hands like T9 or J9.)

It was the only time in the session I tanked, haha, everything else was pretty simple!

Please vote on the poll if you read this, thank you

I voted for "Certainly" because I think it would be cool to be instantly rewarded for your bluffs and not worry about losing this money. And also a cool thing is that possible game scenarios are different every time the event is played.

The main motto would be: "Keep your stack big as possible to keep being financially rewarded for your aggression for as long as possible" 😀

Hi There,

On this Sunday 7 Apr on PS.it there are 1st Sunday Million Mistery Bounty Edition. 1M GTD (500k + 500k ) (Top bounty 50K)

I would sell about 50% of buy-in in this way:

5% for 8
10% for 15
20% for 30
30% for 45

Contact me in private for more info.

Bye!

With spr ~1.5, I was prepared to get all in on many flops, including any pair, any draw, and some air on disconnected boards. This might be one such board but villain blocked me from making the move myself.

Result: I folded and he did not show.

great stuff laegoose, would short deck ever be a game u would explore in the future?

There have been private solvers for that almost since the games inception.

Honestly I'm not sure this villain is even folding that hand to a turn jam based on your description

So I have nut straight … and the 2nd best low.

by moginsburg k

Felt like I was quartering though. I guess you have to raise nut high and 2nd nut low

You had the 3rd nut low. You lose to A2 and A4.

If you knew you had the 3rd nut low and felt like you were getting quartered for high, would you still want to raise?

Raise get it in.

I’d say that’s fairly standard. Particularly here though v1 will be quite wide. V2 is probably peeling pretty light here too on the flop and him calling does reduce the chance you run into AA.

Flatting sucks because they get to outdraw you with a bunch of BS. You have the best hand very often and some nutted redraws in case you don’t. So you put in the raise and after that you’re priced in.

I don't think bet or Xback river is an obvious decision.

OK it seems to complete most of our "visible" and natural bluffs but in return it encourages us not to bet hands as strong as AA or QK and there are still 6xs, 89s, 78hh, Axhh hanging around in our range. Also, Vilain seems to have a majority of AQ, AK, QKs, KJs bluffcatchers in what constitutes his range.

I tend to fold on the raise, I think our perceived bet range is (too) strong.

I mean he could consider making you fold AA,QK with AQ but we're not even sure that AA,QK exists in your bet, even if it is also true that it is surely in the 50%pot bet that there are the most if there were to be... complex.

Have done through ACR before years ago. DM or post here with price you’ll sell for if you have one.

Wrong forum sorry

4/5/6 card are so similar in strategies/concepts that you would do yourself a disservice to not be open to read strategy from both.

In my opinion these are essentially the same games only with all the thresholds shifted a bit.

Seperating forums would dilute it all too much.

He was laughing at your small flop bet. Could easily be have 99 or one of the many draws that showed up on turn and river, fold.

I gotta give you guys credit. It doesn't matter how many times you're proven wrong, or how many times you're given accurate information, or how many times you get called out for completely making **** up, you continue to double down on the stupidity. That takes dedication and commitment.

As played, what worse hands are calling SB's jam?

CO raised pre. SB then 3B. The SB leads out on the K-high flop, and CO raises. Then SB jams $2k into $500, so...a 4x pot over-bet jam.

The CO is possibly the best player in the room. If he's that good, is he going to call off with KQ, or even AK? How can he call with worse than KK?

The CO probably isn't raising pre, calling a 3B from the SB, raising flop, and calling a 4x pot jam with 97hh or KQhh. MAYBE he calls with AKhh, assuming SB doesn't have Ah in his hand.

If SB has the Ah in his hand, the jam is even worse.

AA is still just one pair. Unless SB knows CO is NEVER flat calling the pre-flop 3B with KK, and ALWAYS 4B'ing KK pre, I'm not sure I'd ever 3B the flop when CO raises. Maybe I'd raise if I didn't have the Ah in my hand, but our hand would be so face up at that point, V could put us in the blender if he 4B with AKhh.

I just build my own ICM simulator and seems 90-95 is right for 50 turney. Wonder how they got the 60-70 figure though or what assumptions they use

If you are willing to listen to a donk, go back and read my earlier post. You’ll see why he came up with this number.

So, I was surprised when the villain quickly bet out $200 on the river. My initial thought was wow, this guy thinks his hand is strong. So probably too quickly - I should have taken some time to at least think about a raise - I flipped over my AK and called him. He looked a bit surprised that his AcJs was no good.

Is there a reason comments keep getting deleted? Some proper censorship going on here.

Seems rather important that a coaches thread has mention of the coaches scam history.

If this coaching thread was allowed to stay up, the OP's almost certainly will aswell.

As far as I am concerned, anyone who chooses to offer paid services in a public marketplace should be prepared to face questions and criticism about their qualifications to offer those services and the quality of them.

If the owners of 2p2 choose to allow anyone to offer coaching (which is entirely within their rights and not unreasonable), without any level of basic vetting, players should absolutely call out

What in the good **** did I just read. How is that real? Rofl.

Enjoyed reading -- thanks for taking the time!
