This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Yeah, something like that for me too-i am averaging around 1000 bucks pr month on food. Eating a solid diet isnt always cheap.Even though i am a broke loser living in moms basement according to the white knights that rides in this thread on and off.
I have no idea what I spend a month on food. Im not a fancy restaurant kind of person but I will spend money for a good steak a few times a month. Don't care about atmosphere or over the top ass kissing waiters. I do it out a lot and I buy what I want from the supermarket. I eat a lot of eggs so the egg prices last year did get annoying for a few months but they've been back to normal for a while.
He's going to take June and half of July off to deal WSOP. And he takes a month and a half off around the winter holidays too.
I chuckled at the part where he said he will need to take a 10 day "vacation in Vegas" with no poker, after the gruelling ordeal of actually working for 6 weeks. I think we all know what that entails.
Locking himself into the cheapest most basic room he can secure and then stocking it up with all the cheapest smelly foods. Then it's a busy schedule of King of Queens reruns and rewatching the back-catalog of Troopers Vlogs. Only stepping foot out of his smelly room in order to get his daily allotment of 4 free drinks, and perhaps to steal some condiment packets.
In his mind he will be one of the far superior dealers and having to pool all the tips and split them with the substandard dealers will tilt him, but should make for some good rants.
I really hope Diesel vlogs his tentative WSOP dealing experience in 'real time'.
My prediction: If Diesel does deal the WSOP, he will find an excuse to quit.
And the reason he quits is, of course, 'someone else's fault'.
So he wants to play 2,280 hours? At 1/2 or 1/3?
That sounds just awful. And more hours than many people work in their jobs each year. For a LOT less.
Like truly awful.
He specified the 190/month goal as only being from February thru November. And of course if he deals the WSOP June and July are out also.
Diesel specified the 190 hours a month poker goal as only being from February thru November. And of course if he deals the WSOP June and July are out also.
So basically Diesel is saying he will play 7.5 hours of poker, six days a week. No chance of that.
Diesel spends 3 hours a day changing casino's, hoping to find a tourist who will give the nit action.
Does Diesel buy food with his comps? Or does he save them for room charges? Using them on food would enable him to stay under the $200/month target, while increasing his housing budget.
I wonder if he counts his comps as income in his tax filings.
Does someone want to set a line for odds that Diesel actually deals during WSOP? Or deals over/under X amount of hours?
I can't wait for the rant about the Caesar's hiring/scheduling/pay/etc process and why they totally screwed him.
William Hill and MGM have it posted at
+2300 to work over 11 full days dealing.
I think if he gets hired and shows up the first day that he will work the entire WSOP.
Especially if they have that deal again like last year for very cheap room at Rio with free meals there when off the clock and free meals while working like normal also.
Rice dealing WSOP while telling 4 hour Trooper stories to the table would be awesome.
I am also considering joining the work force soonish and like him will have trouble adjusting to bosses but watching him dealing with dealing (no pun intended) wsop will make for awesome content.
he will definitely think 99% of these tourney players suck and wonder how resentful he will be of all the players just firing off bullets , 1500 at a clip
But he's not going to use any liners or bags at the store to save the environment...while still getting four Gatorades a day.
Exactly. To be a real enviro-nut that's not a hypocrite, buy a water filter and drink tap water that you got from the bathroom sink. Then get a tub of Gatorade powder and mix it. Find an ice machine and swipe a little ice for your cooler. Or buy a fridge for the car and keep your drinks cold in that.
i would like to announce my candidacy for thread lootenant-in-charge to captain trooper. i stand at the ready, trooper, with my starred helmet, willing to launch full scale nuclear on them hAtErZ, alongside the troops --- senior advisor old man coffee, consultant-in-arms el deisel, strategic counsel king of bakersfield, and deputies hog and two cent and pure aggression.
graced by your kindly gifted iron maiden military-grade socks and my recently shined go gamble badge and my sparkli spray weapon
What about Bill Tate? How could you forget him??!

I could do it. $200 a month is about $50 a week, $7 a day. I can get a can of Spaghettios for 2 bucks. I'd be eating a lot of Spaghettios and PB&J, so I could do it, but I wouldn't be a happy camper.

No, that's not required. Just like free flights for airline miles. Both are considered a form of rakeback on money you've already spent.

Rio is gone now, so it would have to be Flamingo or Harrah's. Or nothing. We'll see how cheap El Dorado really is.
I agree on him working the whole Series, with one possible exception. They always hire twice as many dealers as they need because they expect a lot of them to quit. Last year a lot of them did quit, but not because they were overworked. They were UNDERworked and a lot of dealers quit because they weren't getting the hours they wanted. Which ironically gave the ones that stayed, more hours. I think if Diesel can't get the hours he wants he might bail.
BTW, has Diesel ever worked as a dealer?
Also, you can criticize Trooper for a lot of things, but being a bad dealer ain't one of 'em.

look at mr fancy pants and his $50 a week food expense
you can buy a 12-pack of ramen noodles at Walmart for literally $3.50
370 calories per packet, 8 packets would cover pretty much all of Rice's daily caloric needs
mix in some free buffet condiments and you can live on under $2/day
You mean Rio has a new name now, or it's no longer a Caesar's property? I know there is a new owner and they were renovating, but Penn and Teller are still there and I don't think the casino has closed. I haven't been there in years.
want to watch a poker vlog of a guy who seems to be 180 of diesel (in terms of cheapness) and is freaking funny as hell . i stumbled on this . he is spending his bankroll (which might be more) but its funny and entertaining

Its actually owned by a real estate development firm out of NYC.
