Botfarm won $10 Million on WPN
Monitoring the development and profitability of poker bots has become an increasingly challenging task.
Below are my findings related to the bots identified on the Winning Poker Network (WPN).

The issue of bot proliferation has been recognized for at least 3.5 years, as discussed in this Botfarm forum thread.
Despite submitting comprehensive reports to the WPN, which unfortunately went unanswered from their security team, I harbor no illusions that they will address the problem. The security service has let down the player community. Therefore, I am reaching out to poker schools, funds, and independent players.
I urge you to examine the hands played by these bots in cash games and MTTs this year, analyze their strategies in training sessions, and actively combat them at the tables. In many games, they constitute a significant portion of the player field, ranging from 5% to 15%.

Currently, Botfarm evolve approximately every 3 months but still employ exploitative tactics, allowing to push back. Given their ability to create over 100+ new accounts per month, eradicating them requires multiple waves of blocking, not just a single sweep. This issue is not exclusive to WPN; evidence suggests that Ignition and GG Poker are already affected. While I lack data from all platforms, it is certain that they will infiltrate wherever there is a lucrative game.
In the end I would like to say that poker is a game of people with each other, not the machines. Interference by machines disrupts the essence of poker. If any room management believes that regular players can be replaced by machines - you are mistaken. In such a scenario, the game would inevitably dwindle or even cease to exist, reaching an untenable scale.

2024 is off to a bad start for online poker.
problem is even if they do ban them they'll just make a new account and continue on as if nothing happened. i'm pretty sure they constantly are making new accounts anyway.

I actually believe moneymaker here and he is being sincere, i just think this problem like they say , is above his pay grade. this goes much deeper than him.
I played for two years on this site from 2018-2020. Low buyin ($15-$100) MTTs exclusively. I have played ALOT of poker in my life.
I don’t need any graphs, analysis, hand history’s. Watching the tables I can tell you I suspected BOTs 100%. It got to the point where my friends and I would joke “Ready to go battle the bots?”. Not so funny in hindsight they got the last laugh.
I’m most embarrassed I kept playing that long, I thought I could beat them, somewhere deep inside I knew better.
Like I told my friends, I can beat bots, but I can’t beat a connected bot network. They share card information is where they really make their living.
It makes me Sad

Like
100% my same experience.
if you have any card sense and understand how 95% of the population plays , playing on a site where 30% play like the 5% (and at low levels to boot) you can feel the noticeable difference
Pretty sure low stakes players have been screaming at the clouds for years and years about how the network is infested with bots and everyone either didn't believe them or didn't care.
Oh, shocking, now the bots have hit higher stakes and suddenly people care.
The scary thing is that the security still didnt pick up these bots after years of going undetected and video reviews according to chris..
Only now they have taken 10 million and since the moneytaker incident is people talking about it again...
We really need to step up as a collective.
We have the power but in an environment where people are trying to win each others monies its very hard to come together as one.
Incredible statement, acr is well aware that Tyler and the same group of people that are making these accusations have caught 20 players ish who has been cheating at the highest stakes on acr in the last 3 years. If it wasnt for said group these people have went on to cheat for etirnity and as a group the made millions pre getting banned despite some of them getting reported the first week of them showing up.
To make it clear acr indirectly implies that it's easier to catch humans cheating selectively than bots playing/cheating.
I'm not on twitter but would love to hear the explanation why a group of allegedly bots (but according to acr not related at all) had a collective stroke and started chipdumping to each other one day in September. This was only between themselves and not to any human players.
Apparently all of these accounts are still active (?). At least several of them. This should at the minimum qualify as chipdumping.
Can we get the same stats and list of names for ClubGG Union clubs such as ClubGG Lounge(formerlyDonkeyUnion),Splash Squad, Uproar Coliation and any others that people can think of. I think that all of them have cheating in them and are connected
Omaha and 5 card omaha are rife with collusion on every site and especially non-regulated ones like clubgg and bros and ppp as well
Im just remembering you guys that we catch a FULL Computer with data of this bot group 3 years ago.
Link of 46gb data leaked drive:
https://mega.nz/folder/EvhWhDAY#FoNH522e...
At that time it was small, limits small, most of rooms were unknown and did not attract attention it deserves. But now these guys have grown to 10 million profit from one room.
If no one takes 100k by the end of January, I will join the race to bring math proof of commitment to the community.
Making a 100k challange to prove that these guys are bots is like biggest slap we can problaby take as poker players.
Funny fact: when the latest hand history bug happened on ACR ( you could import a hand to their online hand viewer and after clicking F12 -> Network -> Fetch/XHR -> Reload the page with F5 you could see whole cards of players Who folded their cards) you could see that bots collude. Not mentioning that the most simple EV$ stat should be enaugh to see that something is really wrong. Not mentioning that stats of those cash game bots (their preflop tendecies, cold calling etc) are super similar and its sus as ****.
AM I ELIGABLE TO TAKE MY 100k?
Listening to Chris moneymaker saying some empty words without a single specific thing that they have done in order to check if their games are safe is just a ****ing bullshit. They literally spit in out mouths and say that everything is fine
But guess what? ACR hired Nanonoko to take care of security. That Dude must have helped their security cause he have played online for so long that the last time somebody saw him online tables was 2014. LOL
These things are so ridiculous and last for so long that i do belive those accounts are operated by company that acr is familiar with. Hope some pro will start some Twitter discussion and highlight whole case so more ppl can see how shitty ACR security have been for last 5+ years.
sad, so many coincidences

If we dnt act soon. Our online game will soon be killed.
Unfortunately matt glantz' tweet hits home though ...
What kind of stats these MTT bots have? Is there any weird or unhumanlike stuff that stands out?

If someone here manages to make a bot I'd be really curious if it is detected before 5k hands. That would suggest that ACR can detect bots if they want, but for some reason refuses to ban existing bots on their site. Could be evidence of collusion between whoever is behind those bots and ACR.
So im curious, what does it mean to be a poker bot?
A bot that plays perfect in spots? Or a bot that constantly runs on the site so a human can go do other things in life while the bot plays? A combination of both perfect play and constantly playing? Bots that work together?
I'm not too sure I understand what it means. Obviously any sort of automation is bad and the player has to play the cards not a computer. I'm just curious what is meant by all these bots are playing mtts and cash games.

I went through them and it's kinda like a pretty dumb player who knows some basics about population exploits. It is nothing like GTO, you would not detect them by comparing their hands with GTO Wizard.
They like to openraise a lot from late position, one of those two groups is iso raising around 90 % BB vs SB limp etc. but they are playing lot of spots ridiculously bad, so I am surprised how do they seem to have 10bb/100h winrate.
It is crazy that ACR has problem detecting them, their stats are pretty unique and they are all doing the same weird stuff. I could easily detect them if I had access to ACR data. Either they don't care or their security team is just bunch of minimum wage workers that have no idea how to analyse this stuff.
Should be very easy to exploit them too. If ACR doesn't ban them I guess I will start teaching people how to crush ACR bots. Lot of money in that. 😃

Given the long history of botting allegations against ACR (since at LEAST 2015 when I first played online poker), it seems quite reasonable to assume that ACR is aware of the bots and chooses not to act. This one bot farm with the $10m+ profits has paid over $3m in rake in the last year just in MTTs. I don't know how that compares to ACR's total revenue but it's hardly a drop in the bucket.
This combined with ACR's completely bizarre decision to INCENTIVIZE people to cheat on their platform seems to make it clear that they don't really care if you're a human or a bot, the rake is the same either way

Relevant thread as well regarding PokerKing connections.
I always try to initiate a small P2P transfer to suspect accounts and none of the one suspected accounts are on the ACR-skin.
The PLO-bots plays certain nodes far from any human statistically, making them very easy to detect. This has been consistent with how they used to play since they showed up on Stars almost 10 years ago. They were also very active on Chico-network up to 2020. I want to avoid sharing the exact stats publically but happy to share in PM if people want to verify suspect accounts themselves. Very happy to share all findings with ACR security as well if Nanonoko, Moneymaker or someone else would be interested in reaching out.
I have generally had a positive experience with ACR security. I raised concerns about a Moroccan PLO account in mid 2023 with a few other regulars and the account disappeared within 72 hours. This account was a lot more difficult to identify as a bot compared to these lower stakes russian botfarms which makes the fact that they have not been banned even more suspicious.
It is a frustrating situation because of how easy it is to identify these bots, and anyone with a basic level of NLHE/PLO experience could understand why they are so easy to identify but it appears security teams can't.

In early 2021, the Winning Poker Network (WPN) introduced a new security system, promoted with the involvement of Nanonoko.
https://www.poker.org/randy-nanonoko-lew...
Following this introduction, the total cash game traffic on the network decreased by 40% in the next few days.
The detailed information about this traffic decline was reportedly available on GameIntel for those with a professional subscription.
