Is that Turtle and the guy who ate APD?

Sir, your son is on this site and can read your failed insult attempts. Be a better role model for him.

Installed a new faucet in the master bathroom sink last night. As usual for such processes, the install was a snap, but getting the old fixtures out was a nightmare. Aside from the usual frozen nuts that you can't reach and which don't have enough room to turn a wrench once you finally get it on there, there was also the drain-pipe that couldn't be removed because it didn't fit out of the hole in the sink in either direction. I have no idea how it was originally installed, but it was finally

I was just talking to a globogym bro we call "Chicago Mike" about the historic homes in his city. The first thing out of his mouth was that the ancient pipes and fixtures were a PITA to remove.

This globogym has a impressive group of regs working out on the night shift bearing an unimpressive system of nicknames.

It’s padding for when I eat s*** in the mountains. Very expensive padding.

Best part about that pic is the jacket is making me look very puffy and 300lbs. Next time anyone sees me they’ll think I lost weight. I should sell this diet plan to the masses.

you dont look a pound over 275

When I turn to the side I pretty much disappear.

contact bill perkins on video chat, have her wearing yoga pants and a sports bra and he'll agree to another "you can't ride a bike to vegas" prop bet

but for real squid, you guys should look into touring on bikes

it's insanely rewarding traveling long distances, really experiencing the landscape

i did northern spain on the camino de santiago from border of france to the coast and then another from munich to venice - both rides were elite

our boy Squid is not a distance athlete

FW is correct. If I am not 100% fast twitch Im damn close. I have toyed with the idea of an e-bike to keep spc company on long rides but honestly its more fun being a cheerleader and we do a ton o crap together so I really enjoy just being an athletic supporter on this.

SPC has committed to the great american wheel race in the beginning of june (seattle to dc 100% self support). The trip to vegas is a SLC and San Diego randonneur event. Its a 200k - she is planning on riding the course 3-4 days in a row.

just looked this up, looks elite, if i'm still self employed then i just may do it and finish dead last but love the experience nonetheless

When you say, 100% self support, does that mean SPC is strictly on her own, or it can be you helping out (i.e., "self" being "my small team", no outsiders?

Either way, would be interested to read any story/updates/TR of that journey. Best of luck!

Thats ossum Rick, really hope u do it. It seems everyone is super excited about the route planning they did. So super scenic as well as safe. SPC is not exactly racing it. She is really using at as training for the 24 hr event. Her goal is 175-200 miles per day and obviously really getting her zone 2 on. If you do it spc is making a massive spreadsheet of all lodging, food, water, etc on the route. My understanding is there is a bunch of people planning on taking their sweet time, 1 month+ doing this thing as well as the superstuds bombing straight thru.

oh man, i would definitely be vagabond tenting - would be riding like el diesel 😀

i would take a big pannier of a tent, and another pannier of clothes and then a briefcase a la fear and loathing in las vegas

those rides i did in europe were super dooper casual (my dad did it both times) so was mostly morning rides with a long lunch break followed up by a few hours in the afternoon and then just find a place we liked to spend the evening at and stay there

average day probably around 75 miles with a low of 40ish and high of perhaps 120

without my dad, doing it as more of a "race" without winesoaked 3 hour euro lunches mixed in, I could probably manage the 175-200 miles

however, i am definitely the kind of person who would see "world's largest candle" and decide to stop as well as stop briefly to take a bunch of photos of picturesque places - or see a diner that says "world's greatest pickles" and figure, you know what, let's see if they are correct

no joke, would consider bringing along a go pro and vlogging it (but obviously editing/posting only once it was done)

Jr got the thumbs up from the doc today. Told him to send it, so we shall this weekend. Snow is supposed to be real good!

who shot jr?

The 102s? Stockli gets high praise from a lot of people. That price tag, though.

My custom ON3Ps, which are 1 of 1, are cheaper than a pair of stockli [emoji38]

Looked those bad boys up - holy sticker shock! those things aint cheap!

King Spew - looking foreword to hearing your thoughts on the stormriders

We got at em super early today to beat the high winds anticipated with success and got off the hill as the first band was setting in. N Utah is officially in batten down mode. They are already talking interlodge for LCC and now say 5+ days with no break. Vegas may ackshually be off the table storm numbers are starting to get silly.

Danggggg… More expensive than the Jamaican Bobsled Team skis?!?!

Demo Stockli Stormriders 95 underfoot. I wanted to do the 188.... but had to settle for 182. Thoroughly disappointed as I wanted to throw money out the window like I have my whole life.....

1. Stable at speed. I can be comfortable at around 40-45MPH and I did not get to the top end... even on the 182L.

2. Soft snow on groomers was outstanding. Light and responsive. Even OK in medium crusty bumps when I hit my spots.

Three cons
1. Expectation. Because of the reviews, I was expecting a quiet, dampened experience. On the soft stuff.... yes. Hard corduroy... not so much

2. Didn't have great edges on the slick traverses.... even slipping down while on stance foot. Haven't had that for a while. Before you ask, I was the first person on these demos and the edges did feel/look sharp enuf.

3. The biggie for me... and counter to reviews (maybe it's how I ski)..... but I twice went into a "powder field" (3-4" over crud) at the top of Frenchman and found the tail hooked so badly when generating into the next turn that I couldn't put together ANY sequence of links. Turn, recover, turn. I chickened out going up to (new area) Bergman in search of a powder stash or three because I was thinking I may pay a high price for not having the right (for me) ski.

My wife got me a season demo rentals for XMas. I've only been on a few since November.... still recovering from ankle sprain and the snow this year blows. Found out yesterday that the along with the demo fleet, I have access to ANYTHING on the For Sale wall... if bindings are already mounted. No extra charge; two days only. Yeah me! Stormriders were the first off the wall.

Let’s get you on a snowboard. I’ll bring an extra up for you on Sunday. 😉

That's too bad, KS. Probably saved you $500, though

There is a lot of camber in that ski and very minimal rocker in the tail. Not super surprised to hear the tail doesn't release like you wanted. I personally appreciate it when a ski releases and lets the skier control the skid. It lets me know the slash turn will be there when I need it.

My next skis may very well be fully rockered pontoon boats.
